Scarsky nodded a quick thanks to Reddapple and continued fighting. She raked her claws against a badgers flank and sunk her teeth into the wound, thrashing and tearing. Crimson tainted her jet-black face and paws, and she kept fighting. Scarsky was a blur of claws and teeth, but was easily knocked over by the force of the badgers.

"Shallowstar!"

Scarsky yowled, rushing to her leader, but was clawed by a badger. She scraped at it's eyes, running towards her leader.

"Wake up!"

She pleaded.

Shallowstar saw Redstar's image dissapearing. She opened her eyes, in Reddapple's den. Scarsky looming over her.

"I've just lost a life, " she thought to herself. She stood, up but fell down again. A large yowl filled the camp. She saw a familiar face appear. It was leading a large group of cats.

Scarsky mumbled to herself, anxious. She raked her claws down a badgers flank, then quickly tore at the back of the badger with her teeth.

Nightstar poked her head over the crest of the hill. The sun was sinking closer to the horizon. "Come on, Blackflash! We can still make it by moonhigh!" Blackflash stumbled up the hill, and beside his leader ran down, heading towards Mothermouth. The reached the cave by the time the first warriors of StarClan lit up the sky. Nightstar sat looking at the stars with her tail curled over her paws, waiting for the moon.

Dasiystar was fighting again, but she wasn't as strong. Her shoulder was bleeding-All was the FireClan cats were hurt....one cat had died (Treepaw).

The badgers seemed injured, but it was like an endless fleet of the savage animals were invading. Scarsky fought continually, but her eye was bleeding heavily. She was covered in blood, though most was not her own.

Btw, Nightstar's lost two lives so far. @redstar-fireclan No, that's not an invitation to take more 😉😋

The moon had risen by the time Nightstar had reached the Moonstone chamber. When the cave was lit up, she touched the stone with her nose, and fell asleep. StarClan did not speak to her, for they had not done so in a very, very, long time.

Icestar snorted. "A bossy WindClan kit who loves Tigerstar decided to mess things up and stand for WindClan. Then WindClan came back, and WindClan and FireClan are fighting a bunch of badgers they provoked." She swiped her paw over her ear, annoyed.

She glanced at Silverpaw again. "You can go get something to eat, if you want. You must be hungry."

Shallowstar saw her brother and some other rouges, chase the badgers, the few badgers left. They scattered far off.

Muddypaw went to his mother and cuddled next to her.

Ripplekit pounced on Silverpaw's tail and batted at Icestar's muzzle playfully. First facing Silverpaw, she told the apprentice what had happened. "I threatened him!" Ripplekit chirped excitedly. "I told him that when I saw him in a real battle, he'd wish that he was never kitted. Was I too violent?" the blue cat mewed, a spark of worry flashing in her eyes. Without waiting for an answer right away, she turned to Icestar and mewed, "When can I become an apprentice?" Then she turned back to Silverpaw with wide eyes.

Sunstar woke up from his sleep and stretched. As he blinked the sleep from his eyes, for some weird reason, he thought of Shallowstar and her kits. 'I'll have to pay a visit to WindClan.' he thought. As he padded out of his den, he turned to Ravenclaw as she came into camp. "Ravenclaw!" He called, bounding down the slope. "Tell your sister that I'm going out, will you? I don't want the Clan to worry while I'm gone." "Sure, dad!" Ravenclaw flicked her tail to acknowledge she had heard. Sunstar bounded out of camp and trekked to WindClan territory, waiting for a patrol to come by the border.

Shallowstar said she needed a walk in the forest, so she headed out of camp. She smelled a non- windclan scent. She limped to find Sunstar.

"What do you want?" she snarled. She didnt realize Muddypaw snuck up behind her.

Sunstar smiled, but the smile faded as what he saw registered in his mind. "I thought I'd pay you a visit." Sunstar shrugged. "Although I'm obviously not welcome at the moment, but just the same, I'll have you know that I had no ill intentions." Sunstar stood up and began to walk away.

She limped over, "What did you really come for? I know there's something hidden in the soul that you are, that wants to know something. Though it is small as a speck of sand. You want to know. You came for something, now what did you come for, Sunstar?" She asked sypatheticlly.

Muddypaw jumped up into a tree, unnnoticed.

Sunstar ignored the flash of movement, although even if he had tried to find what it was, he could not identify Muddypaw.
Sunstar stopped in his tracks, and touched Shallowstar on the shoulder with his tail, purring. "I came to visit a fellow leader. It has happened before, it's only that it is uncommon for leaders to do so. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about." he added hastily. "Badgers." Sunstar mewed, completely out of the blue. "You have been attacked by badgers, I can smell their reek on your fur." Sunstar's eyes clouded over as he babbled on, struck by grief, as fresh as if Applefall had just died yesterday.

Shallowstar licked her fur, cleaning her blood, and trying to put her own scent back on herself. The smell of greif filled her nose though. "Something wrong, Sunstar?"She asked.

The young tom hopped down. Right infront of them. He hissed, "Don't go cheating on Redstar..Shallowstar..." He then ran and dissapeared.

As the last of the badgers were driven out, Scarsky collapsed, exhausted. She managed to muster up a few ounces of strength to see if any cats were severly injured. Scarsky took a count and found that Fallencloud's life had been taken by the badgers.

@arcticwonders Ripplekit can become an apprentice anytime, really. And does Fireclaw have an apprentice?

"OK, good." Ripplekit mewed, her relief showing in her eyes. "Can I go to play with Icekit, now?" she asked hopefully. "I said I'd play with her if she waited for me."

I needed a kit for Ripplekit to play with... Thus, Icekit!😋

Shallowstar's voice snapped Sunstar back to reality. Bristling, he snarled at Redstar. "Go away, Dark Forest traitor. No cat wants you around, even when your dead." Turning his attention back to Shallowstar he muttered, "Nothing... just getting a bit nostalgic, is all." his voice dripping with sarcasm, although his sadness and grief for Applefall shone in his eyes.

Nightstar, Blackflash, Shadowflame, and Birdwhisker watched as Possumpaw returned with a squirrel. "Possumpaw," Nightstar began. "What in the name of StarClan is this?" "What do you mean, 'What's this?'? It's a squirrel, and a meaty one, too!"

"Never mind!" Ripplekit cried. She was at Flameblight's side in an instant, seemingly a flash of blue fur. "Hi, Flameblight! Good hunting?" she asked.

"Possumpaw, the assignment was to catch a frog and a bird, using your stalking skills and climbing a tree." Blackflash meowed. "Moonpaw, Mistpaw, and Graypaw all managed to do it. Why couldn't you?" "Well..." Possumpaw began. "I caught the frog, but when I climb, well, I just get scared. It's not like I don't want to, but when I'm up there, I don't know where to put my feet. I'm afraid of climbing! Does this mean I can't be a warrior?" Nightstar stepped in. "I don't know, Possumpaw. Catching birds has always been a big part of NightClan. I'm sure you've heard many stories from the elders about why. I'll think about it Possumpaw." Nightstar told him. "But there is always a place in NightClan for you. Don't worry about that."

Ripplekit snapped her head around to look at Icestar. "OK!" she called. She dragged a trout from the pile and dragged it over to Silverpaw. "Wanna share?" She asked, her voice muffled by the fish.

Windpaw was grooming herself near the Apprentices Den when she saw Icestar leap up to the WaterFalls. Her paws tingled. "Ripplekit!" she hissed, starting to pad toward Icestar just in time for her to say, "May all cats old enough to swim join here beneath the WaterFalls for a Clan Meeting!"

Shallowstar glared at her son, "I must go."
She ran from Sunstar. Regreting all the words of hatred she had said about him. *like she said any..*

His heart pounding. He ran though the undergrowth. The leaves cutting his face. He got to camp and dashed into the apprentices den, only to find his sister, Riverpaw, dead.

He squealed, Moonshiver, an elder, ran over. She saw the blood come out of the apprentices mouth. This was only murder.

They dragged the body out.

Muddypaw and Frostpaw slept in the empty nursery.

As Shallowstar reached camp she saw her dead daughter. She sank her nose into the pelt. It's coldness going up her spine. She looked at her two remaining kits. She noticed something with Muddypaw though.
She went closer to find that he had a wound. A deep clawmark, and as she stood there, it grew.
She knew one thing.
That he was being trained by the dark forest.
