As "Aizel" died she looked over where Vex was. She stood slowly and walked over. She sat down and smiled. "It's ok." She said trying to make everything seam alright "You still have us. Me, Aizel, and Kenneth." she said though a tear fell from her face as the thought of hummingbirds brought memories of her old lab...

Vex looked up between sobs, greeted by Chaos's grey-green eyes. 'Chaos?' he asked, still unsure who was real and who was hullcination. He lept to his feet and tackled her in a hug. She was real alright. 'Chaos! You're alive!' he said, wipping the tears. Hennie Penny was still etched in his mind, but seeing Chaos dulled the sting.

'I-I-I don't really know,' Vex stammered, his eyes finding thier way to Chaos's. 'It was dark and dead, then I saw her. Hennie Penny. Do you remember her?' The look in Chaos's eyes told she didn't.

'Hennie was like a sister to me. We looked out for each other in the War Zone. A mine blast killed her. I stayed with her until the Death Squad pried her away from me.' Vex kept his story short, and concise, not wanting to drag up anymore memories. 'She's gone. Again.' He continued to sob, this time on Chaos's shoulder. 'I can lose anymore Hummingbirds. Promise not to leave my side.'

Chaos put her arms around him "I promise" She said at last after lissoning to the story. She had nothing more to say. Her body screamed at her to just stop But her mind told her the others were in Pain too, Aizel and Kenneth were just fighting the other Aizel and they probly cant to anywere for a while but Vex, he had something totaly different, Something happend to him along time ago that worked its way into his mind. She thought about just not leaveing, staying in the old abandond City, Why not? there was a large forest around it and no one else seamed to be around, She had not sean any Government people in a bout an hour.

A ragged breath escaped her lips as Aizel's eyes fell onto the hugging teens. She sighed.

Vex was strong... there was no doubt of that but in this fragile state of mind that he was in... he was vulnerable. Tears streamed down his face and sobs racked his frame as he cred uncontrolably. He looked so broken and shattered that she had to look away.

She spotted Kenneth with the corner of her eyes and froze over immediatelly.
"KENNETH!"
She ran over to his unmoving form, eyes wide and frantic. She gathered him into her arms pushing astray strand of air from his face. Her fingers found their way to his neck and she quickly checked for a pulse. A slow rythm pumped against her skin.

He was alive.

Eyes glazed over, Vex watched as Aizel ran to Kenneth's side. He had totally forgotten about him in the midst of the insanity. Looking up into Chaos's eyes, Vex's broken heart began to stitch itself up.

'Chaos, I couldn't tell you this before, but I can now. I love you. I cannot lose you. No one else could ever take your place. Forever in my heart.' Vex took her hand in his webbed one. 'Someday, Chaos, someday...' his voice trailed off before he looke back at Kenneth. His pastey complexion was not a good sign. Aizel felt for a pulse. From the look of hope in her eyes, Vex assumed he was alive.

Kenneth felt a small hand over his heart. He suddenly woke up to see the eyes of a worried Aizel looking at him. "Ai- Aizel? What happened all I remember is killing "Aizel" and falling unconisous." he said. Suddenly, realization dawned his eyes. "You- You were able to-" he said, hugging her.

Chaos dint say anything. She watched Vex and Aizel near Kenneth. "I love you too." She whisperd barly autoble. She knew there was nothing she could do to help Kenneth, she was not a medic, and she dint want to get in the way. She Sat down and leaned up agenst the wall watching them, Vex, Aizel, Kenneth.

Then the thought hit her. She now had people she could say she loved, But that ment The governmet could use them agenst her, Or just kill all the hummingbirds. "We have to get out of here." She mumbled and looked up "Soon."

Surprise by the sudden hug, she drew back a little but after a whil erealxed in his embrace. She wrapped her warm hands around him as well.

It felt odd... being hugged like that. She hadn't been hugged since she was a child. She didn't know love or affection but found her heart heatedly beating as she looked at her new family. Kenneth, Chaos, Vex...

She laughed. For the first time in years, she heartily laughed, tears of happiness streaming down her cheeks.

Sobs racked her frame but Aizel smiled widely again, through the layers of tears, burrying her nose in Kenneth's shoulder
"I love you too" she whispered back, tightening her embrace, holding him as if life itself depended on it.

She didn't know what she'd done to deserve someone like Kenneth, someone caring and gentle like him but she was happy he was there to hold her.

It seemed like hours had passed when she finally broke the embrace, pulling away and looked at Kenneth with a warm gentle smile.

Vex stood with grey eyes blazing; tears, joy and relief flooded his body. Family. The first and only people he had loved. Nothing, not even death could pluck him away from Kenneth, Aizel and Chaos.

'We have a mission to complete. The rest of the Hummingbirds need us. Larka and Vona are still at the camp. We should rally with them, let them know things will be okay.' Vex stated, with a new surge of confindece. Everyone looked up, teary eyed and trembling.

A nod, a quick shuffle and she was up on her feet again. Her stature was broken, she had a diagonal gash on her left cheek and an uncomfortable limp but her moist inky eyes radiated determination and total certanty.
"I agree. We have to immobilize ourselves and move out'ta here... fast. Other soldiers may come soon and I personally have no desire of fightng again. I've had enought action for one day" her firm, deep but meloiciously feminine voice echoed in the room.

Far off in the distance, Lupa was talking to Nyx. "That group over there seems to be distracted. Do you think you can go over there and steal one of their wallets or purses?" She asked. "Sure. Most of them seem injured." Nyx replied. "Don't take too long!" Lupa yelled, but Nyx was already in the shadows. 'Now, how should i do this...' She thought. As she walked closer, she could see a boy with light brown hair and... Was that webbed fingers? 'He should be easy enough to steal from she thought.' She stood right behind him and reached out a shadowy hand to steal his wallet

Nodding, Vex spoke, 'We leave now. Slavage what you can, we not going to stop until we return to the camp. I don't know the conditions of Vona and Larka, but prepare for the worst.' Slipping a hand into his pocket, Vex fingered for something. Missing! The journal had dematerilized. Eyes wide, he turned to the group. 'Its gone! My journal!' Panic racked his muscular frame. 'If I find out one of you nabbed it, I swear I'll gnaw your fingers off one by one!' he hissed.

Chaos opened the closet like room and grabbed a over the shoulder bag. She turned to Vex "You lost it?" she asked.

Larka sighed. She was back at camp, Alone. "Well this is So fun." she said laying down on the soft grass.

Nyx laughed from the shadows. She stopped. 'Oh no... They heard me...' she thought. Her eyes widened with terror. She quickly began to run as fast as she could, silently but fast.

Vex glanced around the room, eyes narrowing. 'Did you hear that Chaos?' he asked, wondering if she heard the same sound. It seemed to come from a higher frequency, like alien laughter. Whirlig around, he saw nothing but shadows.

'Who ever took my journal, please return in,' he commanded, rather pleasntly. His voice quickly dropped an octave. 'I swear if you don't, I will fight you tooth, nail and webbed hands!'
