My test isn't making any senseEveryone I ask doesn't know how to answer itBUTI'm not asking for the answersI'm asking for how to break them down. Once I know how to do it, I'm goodUntil then; HELP DXANNNDDDDDDThe ones with graphshttp://i48.tinypic.com/do2o49.pngI've figured out 14/20
taffy789 • 30 April 2012 at 9:48 PM
@Cafe Well, I think the second one is 753/25. X3
Orderedchaos • 30 April 2012 at 9:48 PM
@cafe For the first one, it's important to note that is says "estimate" therefore it does not want the exact answer. So round all the numbers off. That will put your answer closer to one of the given answers.Second one: Again rounding, this time round your answer. Some of the words are cut off on the graph problems, but if they are anything like the other two, rounding and estimating will give you your answers.

I don't know, but who would buy that bracelet for $753?
cafe • 30 April 2012 at 9:51 PM
@orderedchaosThe first one I getButI don't even know how to get anything for the second one OTLI can't round what I don't have

Hmm... I'm an idiot, but lemme think.Well, if one way from home to work is 30.3, you'd also need to include when he drives back home, making 60.6 miles per day (but you probably already knew that). Pretty simple, just multiply it by 22.I'm doing this is in my head, so I might not be exact... But I believe the answer is 1333.2, like you said. The estimate is tricky... tHink of the first two numbers. It would be 13, and you need to round it to either 15, or 12. Which is closer? 12, so the answer is B, 1,200 miles. 😸For the second one, that's easy. You do $753 divided by 25$, and the answer is 30.12, which is rounded UP to 31 weeks.Hope I could help! 😸

@DreamerThank you ;-;I thought so, that was what I hadBut I was scared I was wrongNow, here's one I forgot to putAnd I don't even know how to do it@orderedchaosSorry, I was talking about this one. I thought I posted it as the second one xDSolve the problem. An average library contains at least 50 and at most 250 books. How many library owners must be polled to be certain that at least two owners have the same number of books in their libraries?A. 203 owners B. 202 owners C. 200 owners D. 201 owners
Orderedchaos • 30 April 2012 at 9:58 PM
@cafe The bracelet costs $753, the person is saving $25 dollars a week. 753 divided by 25 gives you about how many weeks it will take to save up enough money. The answer will be a decimal so round it up.Graph 3-20: Mark a ruler with how big the 0-5km mark is, see how many of those will roughly fit along the track. Multiply that number by 5.Graph 14-20: Can't read it all, so I can't help you.Graph 19-20: The points are all going upwards, thus the price will probably go up for the next point. Only one of the given answers is far enough above the last point to be correct.Edit: Ok, give me a moment to go over the new problem.Edit 2: There are 200 possible amounts of books that a library can own (250 - 50 = 200). If you only poll 200 libraries you could have each one with a different number of books, but if you poll 201 libraries, 2 of them must have the same number of books as there isn't 201 possibilities.

I had just gotten 14/20Lmao sorry for spazzing out ._.I do that when I get frustrated. Now that it's clicking in my head, I feel a tad slow.
dreamer • 30 April 2012 at 10:02 PM
@Cafe I know how you feel. When I'm doing work in math I'm always afraid my answer is wrong. It doesn't matter too much if I get ONE wrong though, because we get a crapload of hw and there are usually lots more questions to make up for it.As for the third one you just posted... I have no idea... Lemme look at it again. O_O I have no clue, I'd guess 200, because it's even. But I don't know. And I didn't even see the graph one, I'll go check that out right now.

@cafe Posting this here in case it's missed. There are 200 possible amounts of books that a library can own (250 - 50 = 200). If you only poll 200 libraries you could have each one with a different number of books, but if you poll 201 libraries, 2 of them must have the same number of books as there isn't 201 possibilities.

3-20I'm thinking that's 20 or 25But each time I measure it, it goes from 4 to 5The rest [Other than the one about the library] I've got it

25KM120 Students$58
Orderedchaos • 30 April 2012 at 10:06 PM
@cafe Probably safer to go with the higher number. Since the number of km would probably round up. 😊And don't worry, pretty sure the majority of people have panicked over a math test before. I know I have. *glares at old Calc 2 final*
dreamer • 30 April 2012 at 10:06 PM
@Cafe Just checked the graph. The only one I can solve is 14 out of 20, but I see you already have the answer. X3The first one was cut off, so I can't help you there. As for the last graph... I'm tired, and I'm not wearing my glasses, so the text was too small for me to see. X3I'd love to *try* to help you at any time though. I'm going to bed now. But if you ever have more math hw you need help with, with questions like the first 2, I can help you out. I'm only in 6th grade (I'm getting put in the advanced pre-algebra class next year though), so I don't know too much. X3 But I do know the basics, and a little bit more.

;-;I got a 75Cuse me while I go curl in a ball *~*~*Edit;o.e''She tricked meShe put such simple questions on the testAND the "correct" answerBut included round>_>xDI'm good. 75 is passing. I can bring it up/I also got the library one wrong

@cafe - Lol. Good thing you passed 😊
