I've spent several hours every day for the past few days, working on my story.I just had to write an emotional death scene for one of the main characters, and yes, I'm completely crying my eyes out right now AND LISTENING TO A CERTAIN DEPRESSING AVRIL LAVIGNE SONG RIGHT NOW REALLY DOESN'T HELP.It's so depressing... I'm happy that I have feelings for my own story. But it's just horrible. D8 Ehh. It's just life, I guess.Have any of you guys ever had to write an emotional scene in a story? I don't wanna say I'm alone. X3

Here's a little miniscule clip from part of the scene I wrote; Now Logan had no choice but to return home. He couldn't fend for himself alone, in the wild. But what would happen when he returned? What would happen when Anna's body was discovered? What would people think? Logan rested his head on Anna's stomah. He didn't care if he got blood on his face. He just wanted to be near her. He cried. He sat and cried for countless hours. Logan felt as if his own heart had stopped beating. He sat up and prayed for Anna. He prayed that she was safe, and he prayed that Anna would watch over him forever. He promised that he would never forget her, and he promised that he would be strong. *Don't be strong.* Logan heard Anna's voice ringing in his head, and it made him cry even more. *Keep crying. Let your emotions flow. Don't hold your head up for anyone if you know your heart is broken. Don't make that same mistake I did. Logan, I'm here. I'll always be here. Don't forget that. Come to me whenever you need help. I'll answer. As long as you keep me in your thoughts and in your heart, I'll answer any of your questions. I will stay with you.*If anyone wants, I can PM you the entire death scene, but I can't send you the entire story. X3

@dreamer OMG. I DO THIS EVERY SINGLE TIME I WRITE A DEATH SCENE (I make it very bloodied and dramatic though, so that might be it ._.). God I cried at that one too. TAT
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 4:47 PM
Avril Lavigne? Ew.
dreamer • 6 May 2012 at 5:14 PM
@Balletninja You know what, you can be such a hypocrite at times. That's really not the point here. =_= I'm just saying.@Karamel Yeah, the death scene in mine was pretty dramatic. X3 I wanted to make it bloody though. So I wouldn't bore people.
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:00 PM
@dreamer How is saying that Avril Lavigne is gross hypocritical? I don't see me going around talking about her being awesome. She sucks. I am just saying. Since "I am just saying" seems to make everything okay.
Deleted • 6 May 2012 at 6:11 PM
@Balletninja Maybe because she didn't ask for any opinions? She doesn't go to your topics bashing your music, so keep it to yourself.
dreamer • 6 May 2012 at 6:15 PM
@Balletninja Wow. Okay. Sure. I guess every word you say is right. Whoop de do. It doesn't matter to me.I'm not going to sit here and argue because it's a waste of my time and it only makes me angry. And I bet I can guess EXACTLY how you're going to reply to this. You're going to point out any flaws in my post and make it seem like I'm such a horrible person. Well, save it. No one wants to hear any of your crap.I only posted this to see if anyone else gets emotional while writing stories, if I wanted you to judge every little song I listen to, I would've clearly stated it in the title.
april__ • 6 May 2012 at 6:18 PM
@DreamerI've often written death scenes. I don't normally get emotional and cry... But I do often feel very sad. In fact, my main character usually dies in my stories, lol! And Avril Lavigne is awesome. ^.^ I've been a fan since her first album. 10 years and still love her. Is the song slipped away? Or tomorrow?
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:20 PM
@dawnfur She posted this, thus opening it up to opinions. @dremer ^^ You can judge me for this, I can judge you. You opened it up to discussion and I pointed out a part that interested me. And you responded.
Deleted • 6 May 2012 at 6:23 PM
@Balletninja Really? She was asking about the story, not the music. And it's not just that, you do that for every single topic she posts. And don't say you don't. Because you do. I'd respond like she did too, if you did that to me.
taffy789 • 6 May 2012 at 6:25 PM
@Dreamer Once, I was writing a scene where someone got dumped and bursted into tears. XD I just took it as I had just written that scene good. .... ..... ... That or, I was UBER tired when I wrote it, and easily get over emotional at those times. XD Probley the latter. X3
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:27 PM
@dawnfur Show me an example of when I have done that before.Otherwise, yes I have been like this before but I have been nice before as well.It doesn't matter what she was asking about. I wasn't trying to be a troll, just giving my only opinion on the subject. That was my only criticism.

One of the more emotional scenes I've written... Wasn't a death scene...But it involved two people in love. And you know how in the movies when the girl or guy goes to leave but the other one makes it to the airport in time to convince them to stay? Well the guy was leaving, and I wrote it so it seemed like the girl would make it. But she didn't. He was going away for an underground operation and told her that he was going to go if she didn't want to fix anything. It took her awhile but she realized she really loved it. But made it just in time to see the Helicopter going. And he waited for her but couldn't wait any more.Yeah. That was sad to write. XD

@Balletninja You may not have been trying, but that means absolutely nothing. Oh sorry, I don't keep a record of every single forum you post on in a negative manner, I don't have that kind of time.
bunnyshadow • 6 May 2012 at 6:29 PM
YUUUUP
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:29 PM
@dawnfur I was thinking about typing something to respond to that in my "negative manner" but I decided to be the bigger person 😉
ladybugheart • 6 May 2012 at 6:31 PM
@dreamerDon't be sad, be happy. ^^ You just wrote a moving piece of literature, which is a good thing - your readers will be moved, too. That your story can make you cry just shows how strong your writing is, and I'm sure it will turn out wonderful. 😊I've never written a death scene, yet, or any emotional scene that I can remember. I'll be writing two novels over the summer, though, and the first one is going to have at least one death scene. 😋 I'm not particularly good at emotional writing, but we'll see how it goes. :]
hai • 6 May 2012 at 6:31 PM
Some you guys should really stay on topic. @DreamerI have when I was in 3rd grade. It was a dead puppy. x)
Deleted • 6 May 2012 at 6:31 PM
@Balletninja Wow. The bigger person. Maybe you should have decided that as soon as you clicked on this topic. Then we wouldn't be going through this crap.
dreamer • 6 May 2012 at 6:34 PM
@April__ Yeah, the song was called Slipped Away. It makes me sad, but I keep listening to it. ^^I often times don't get emotional in stories, but this one really set me off. I'm not sure why. X3 It's just so touching, but that's what I want. If I'm writing a story, I WANT people to feel emotions, you know? ^^@Balletninja No DUH I opened this topic. And I can't stop you from giving your unwanted opinion; but it's rude to mention it unless I ask for your criticism, which I DON'T.Why don't you just go and post a topic titled, "Let's all go and bash Dani!" instead of ticking me off on my own topic? I would dare you, but that's immature. Not like you'd know about that or anything.Really, I don't want to argue, and I'm going to be the better person here and ask you to leave. I *really* don't want to hear what you have to say to me; I'll keep replying to you until you stop. This is MY topic, after all.
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:36 PM
@dawnfur Maybe. Maybe you should take your own preachings. My verdict is no, I don't get choked up.And I only like instrumental songs.Immature?Nah. Opinionated?Yah.
dreamer • 6 May 2012 at 6:39 PM
@Balletninja In that case, you've just been blocked. I'm done trying to put up with you.Good day.
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:40 PM
@dreamer Sounds good. I can still post on your topics though.Sorry, that was really off topic for the rest of you.I hope the rest of ya'll forgive me for being so off-topic.
Deleted • 6 May 2012 at 6:42 PM
@Balletninja Wow. Just wow. Thanks for that. I needed a good laugh. I feel A LOT better about myself now.
balletninja • 6 May 2012 at 6:44 PM
@dawnfur No problem man.Happy I could brighten your day, honestly.
april__ • 6 May 2012 at 6:44 PM
@dreamerEveryone tells me my stories make them cry and such. I'm just not an emotional person.I don't laugh or cry. XD Ever. Well, I do pretend laugh to fit in sometimes.
