Sticking her dagger under the lid, Phoebe pried the crate open.

Dania spied the pile and it was tempting, but she couldn't risk it with so many people around. She was so hungry. Her only hope was to get to the shore and find fish. She couldn't risk moving now, though.

Rosaline woke up to some chaos nearby the alcohol pond/fountain. She jumped from tree to tree to find Alex, Joseph, Sylvia, and Jasper meeting each other. "Victims." She said menacingly. She put on her a scared face and appeared. She hid her sword under her shirt and walked out to the pool.

Inside the crate, an bat the size of an small horse lay. It opened it's mouth to reveal rows of sharp fangs and an forked tongue. Glowing red eyes filled with hatred drilled into Phoebes (my apostrophe button is broken so i only have it sometimes from spellcheck). The large crate crashed onto the ground, splintering to little pieces as it stood up on large clawed hid legs.

Phoebe stumbled back from the crate, falling onto her back as the creature rose to its feet. She held the dagger out in front of her, but her mind wasn't on attacking it with steel. Her cover had been broken, and it was time to pull out the big guns.

Phoebe sucked in a deep breath, blocked every shred of sound from her ears, and screamed.

The sound was equivalent to the detonation of a grenade, loud enough to burst the eardrums of the creature like water balloons. It was probably enough to severely damage the hearing of everyone nearby, as well. While the creature was still dazed, Phoebe lunged forward and planted her dagger in its bristly-haired throat.

Skylar heard a high piched scream nearby, it hurt her ear drums for a moment but then they where fine. She got up and walked over to a large tree and stood behind it watching the scean unfold. She seen blood, not human blood.But the blood from the bat who had attacked her.

Phoebe leaped back, tugging hard to free the dagger from the creature's flesh. Her footing slipped as the dagger came free, and she nearly tumbled once more. Searing blood spurted from the wound, splashing her face and chest, and a gasp left her. The creature coughed blood, and then it lashed our at her in its dying throes. Its claws managed to nick the side of her torso. Phoebe staggered, but she clenched her teeth and dove at it again. This time, she embedded the dagger in its head, right through one of its soulless red eyes.
