It is boring...
The trades are getting flooded with more commons, the RPs last even shorter, and there aren't as many chatting things around anymore.
Only my loyalty anchors me here to stalk and waste time for hours.

I mean there is a lot of stuff we can ask from Ian, but not all of it he can do by himself as fast as we'd like it. Yeah, I'd personally like some sort of event or Egg Cave activity to keep us busy, don't get me wrong... :I

I'd personally love to see more user-created plots. I don't agree that just because it's user-made, it's quality is automatically lower. Often times, I see a lot of really cool features and EC fansites and they eventually die out. For example, that Egg Cave magazine floating around had the potential to be pretty cool. However, the reason ideas fail isn't usually because they can't be coded, it's that their owners aren't dedicated enough to keep it going.

More initiative, please! If you don't like something, change it. 😉

@zac Coding is key. I was going to make an anonymous plot using different accounts but I would exceed 4 accounts total. The rules make it difficult to do stuff. It is hard to organize and make prizes as well. And if you don't make prizes, then people don't want to join.

And even if I'm just one, I'd still go convince others to join just for the fun of it. {Even if it's just simple bragging rights ;D}

I suppose there are other ways of doing it, but I think coding makes it easier....


And no, I'm not always trying to look on the bright side if you're thinking that... D:

@balletninja I'll concede that coding makes creating a plot much easier and not being able to constricts what you're able to do. At the same time, it's not necessary to host the plot onsite. There are plenty of sites that have wsiwyg editors and can be easily maintained without solid knowledge of a programming language. Additionally, many sites (some have been mentioned eariler in this topic) offer beginner tutorials.

Prizes are something that comes down to you get what you put in. If you want to create the best experience possible, you're going to have to sacrifice. I've given away countless creatures just to get users interested because without users, you haven't got a plot. 😋

In short, it is difficult to make a plot, especially if you want to make a complicated one. However, I think that the amount of dedication is the deciding factor on whether a user's idea succeeds or not.

I remember before v2 came out, there was a sneak peak of v2's layout, and there were links under "community" that included contests and an art gallery, I believe. I wonder why those weren't implemented :/

@cqpkytty Believe me, dozens of users send in plot ideas. 😋 There are actually some great plots in the works currently, which is why Ian isn't actively looking for new things to implement.

@whispers Same here, I'm getting bored nothing super exciting and new. The creatures are "ehhh". I'm hoping to see new a different creatures soon and fun givaways and contests. And its been around 4 weeks since Ian put more room for mods, he said it would be about 2 weeks and he'd let us know who the new mods would be. I might take a hiatus till August.

@ian when will the mods be decided?

I graduate from school in 4 weeks, so I am very excited to have more time on my hands to devote to Egg Cave and making new features. 😊

I've pretty much finished my wishlist. THe one I had since I was a n00b. 😋 I'll be celebrating my second year on EggCave in July. Oh, how time flies! o.o

I'd like to go on a hiatus because there are only 15 days left of school, (we get out on June 18th), and I still have tons of work. I want to end the year with a bang. XD Because I procrastinate, and there's never anything new to do here. But I don't want to quit since I've been here for so long. Also, there are still those little priceless moments that I have, and over the summer this will be the only way that I get to talk to my rl friends.

Because, @Scarlettsong , we can't have any priceless moments in a classroom over summer vacation. ;D And who knows how many classes we'll have together next year? We might all be on different teams! D8
