Grace shrugged. "There probably is, but I don't know it," she admitted. "Try rubbing your robes the wrong way. It helps a little. Trust me, I'm a clutz with water." She grinned.

"Just you wait," Grace told Charlotte. She pulled out a book of spells for pranks and jokes. With a grin, she set it in her lap. "Check it out. It'll be the best year anyone has seen."

Alex and Sirius sighed and said, "Well I bet your parents are better than ours." They had gotten in a boat and together they headed for Hogwarts. Together they stood alone and spoke quietly to each other.

Grace noticed Alex and Sirius talking together in a separate boat. "Hey, Alexandria!" she called out. "Lookie over here! Com' on, Alexandria!" Her main goal: Get Alex frustrated.

When the boats pulled to a stop, the teachers did a head count as the children got out. When they finished, then set off to the front entrance. To the left of them, the Forbidden Forest loomed darkly, the Whomping Willow protecting it. A little ways off, there was the Quidditch Pit. Hogwarts stood grandly as ever, the old stone a dark grey and the roofs peeling a bit. One of the professors leaned in to whisper to another, and the other nodded.

Andrew watched everything with wide eyes, amazed that this was going to be his next home for a long while.

Grace fake-pouted. "You're supposed to get mad," she protested to Alex. "Not just say hi. Tsk tsk." She shook her head. She hopped off her boat when it stopped and ended up behind a boy. She thought his name was Andrew, but she wasn't sure.

Charlotte grinned, looking around for teachers nearby. When she didn't see any, she whispered to the others (Grace, Alex, Sirius), "Wanna climb that tree tonight?" pointing to the Whomping Willow (she doesn't know it whomps yet 😸)

Sirius raised and eyebrow and said, "If you want to get whopped you can climb it. That is the Whomping Willow, very dangerous and hurtful."

"J-O-K-E," Grace spelled out. She had a kind smile on her face. "You are fun to egg on, though." She turned her voice to a whisper. "I'm all for climbing it, but I think we should wait a few nights. I want to check a few spells out first and test them. Then I can show the spells to you and we can check out the tree. Does that sound like a good plan?" she asked.

"Dangerous? Good, I was worried it would be too easy." Charlotte grinned at Sirius. She turned to Grace. "Good idea, I like your plan. And while you're doing it, I can test it for you if you want, so you guys will know how hard it is." She looked at the tree, then back at Grace. "This is going to be FUN!"

Alex and Sirius shrugged, "I guess we will go but trust us, you are going to regret it." They remembered how their older brother, Joseph, had been dared to go and touch the willow in his first year. He had come home VERY scared.

"Tch," Grace scoffed. "Even in the world of magic, that is crazy. Who ever heard of a three headed dog in existence?" She opened up her book of spells. "The Disillusionment Charm," she read aloud. "It's hard to master, but I can try it. It could be better than an invisibility cloak."

Grace shook her head. The teacher in front began telling the students about their houses. "Each and every house has it's own unique and noble history," she said. "Using the Sorting Hat, you will be sorted into Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Gryffindor. Your housemates will become your greatest friends and Hogwarts will be like your second home." She continued,"Your triumphs will earn you house points, while troublemaking will lose them." Grace couldn't help but notice the teacher glance over at her. She remembered that her older brothers had a history here. She grinned. The teacher led everyone inside to wait outside the Great Hall.

Alex and Sirius gave the teacher a thumbs up and a devious smile as the teacher also glanced at them. They had Joseph as a brother and he wasn't a teacher favorite.
