Alongside artists, writers are needed as well to help CaveQuest reach its full potential as an RPG. So now we are searching for talented writers to join the CaveQuest team!

Responsibilities include:
- Being easy to contact
- Online daily
- Having imagination and creativity
- Proper spelling and grammar

Perks include:
- Having early access to the project and being able to test it.
- Other nifty things that will be detailed if you are accepted
- We'll love you forever

Application: (please fill out and email to cavequestteam@gmail.com)
- EC Username
- Email
- Timezone
- IM? Skype? (type/name)
- Age

- Examples of work (at least 2-3)
- Why do you want to help out? What makes you a great candidate?
- How often are you online?

Please include a short tidbit (at least a paragraph) on an idea you had for the plot of CaveQuest.

In this you should explain a little back story about the main character and why he is going on an "epic adventure." Feel free to be as detailed as you want by including final resolution, any important plot points, or even boss battles. This helps us gauge your ability to come up with ideas, which is just as important as conveying the ideas of others.

There is no set deadline for the applications and there is no real limit to how many applicants we will accept. We do prefer that applications are received as soon as possible, however.

Thank you!

We're mainly looking for users to help out planning out the plot/storyline of the game as well as writing dialogue and descriptions. A solid knowledge of the English language and its grammar is necessary.

Examples of work can be anything from a short story to a school paper. 😊

Deleted • 15 June 2012 at 9:25 PM

@Meteoroid Hmmm... I would love to join, but I am not 100% sure about what you mean. Do you mean contributing to the plot? Or actually like, writing a story?

Deleted • 15 June 2012 at 9:32 PM

@meteoroid
Finally, my type of job! 😃 I'll email later tonight!😊 By the way, in our work examples, may we include poems and/or different story ideas we have come up with in the past?

@icicle Poems are fine and so are plot ideas, as long as they are fleshed out a bit. (ie. Not just a couple of sentences.)

Glad you're interested. 😊

Deleted • 15 June 2012 at 9:35 PM

@Zac Okay, and thank you! I love writing, the hardest part after creating an idea is putting the movie in your head into words.😊

@whispers You're welcome to apply for both. 😊

@blackdeathkitty Writing ability is more important than age. We prefer "older" users apply because maturity usually accompanies age but we know there are exceptions.

@zac Finally my type of job! ^^ Well I have one question, though.

Is Cavequest going to be for Egg Cavern or its own site? 😊 Thanks. I might apply. I'm just kind of nervous to.

@harrypotter123698 Eggcavern and CaveQuest are completely unrelated. So CaveQuest will be it's own site. 😊

@zac And I dont have IM or Skype. Do I need to make one in order to apply?

It isn't required but we'd recommend it. I think we'd like to have a group brainstorming session once we get a team together and it would be more helpful.

@zac One more thing before I send an application, as I'm really excited. Would you accept story-type poems for examples? If not, I have the perfect idea for a short story. ^^ Just let me know. 😊

Hey everyone,

One thing that I would like to see on your applications that I forgot to mention but touched on a bit: please include a short tidbit (at least a paragraph) on an idea you had for the plot of CaveQuest.

In this you should explain a little back story about the main character and why he is going on an "epic adventure." Feel free to be as detailed as you want by including final resolution, any important plot points, or even boss battles. This helps us gauge your ability to come up with ideas, which is just as important as conveying the ideas of others. 😊

If you have alread submitted an application, you may consider sending us this. But it will not be required. If you haven't yet, please do. 😊

Post here or leave a note on my or @Meteoroid's profile if you have any questions.

Thanks!

@harrypottee123698 Any form of writing is fine as long as it is representative of your prose.

This seems like something I'd be interested in. 😊 However, I'm still slightly confused about exactly what CaveQuest is. Also, I was wondering if it was necessary to reveal our age, as I'm not allowed to. 😋 Thanks!

@Meteoroid and @Zac

Before I begin my application I'd like to know a little more about CaveQuest, could you guys specify what it is to be exact, that way I know how to write out the plot? It's a little confusing to start off without details to help me out.

This would help a lot, thanks!

😊

We don't want to give out too many details because 1) it'll be more fun once released and 2) we don't know that much yet. (which is where you guys come in!)

For some information you can resd this topic: http://eggcave.com/forums/topic/3365

CaveQuest is an online rpg -- users will be able to move around on a 2D map, build a party of EC species, battle enemies, collect items, and interact with various characters. We're still looking to finalize the game's storyline.

Basically, if you could create your "dream" Egg Cave rpg or plot, what would it's storyline be? What characters would you have and who is the bad guy? What's the main character's motivation?

Can I also help with the writing portion as well as the art. Those are two things I love to do 😊

Um.. How long do you want the game to be. Is there going to be like saved files or no?
