Hydreigon roared happily, glad to get out and about. It wasn't quite the fight he'd been longing for, but enough to make a splash.
Unlike Ryuu, who's dissatasfaction practically emanated out of his pokeball. "We'll be over sea soon," Lance thought out loud.

Lance released Ryuu as soon as they were over water, and leaped down onto his back. Maybe they'd encounter a trainer as they went, Lance knew his pokemon needed a battle.

Crystal ate a berrie sandwich, but had to give some to Charizard since he threatened to throw her into the water, and almost did.

Lance cleaned out all the trainers in the route, found himself way ahead of Crystal, went to Fuchsia city and bought a RageCandyBar with his winnings and waited at Cinnabar.

Crystal saw she'd been ditched, fished for 2 hours, fell asleep for 30 minutes, woke up to find two kids drew on her face, had Kabutops scare those same kids, washed the maker off her face, and flew to Cinnibar Island eating Sushi.

The hall was lined with odd things floating in green fluid filled giant test tubes, giving me the shivers. This was definitely Team Rocket. Falino changed into a science lab coat and handing me one, instructing me to do the same. He got out his card and held it to a scanner, and the wall transformed into an elevator. I stepped in.

Lance waited in the pokemon center, but attracted looks and people started whispering, so he went outside.

Crystal finished her sushi, and landed on Cinnibar island.
She couldn't help be remember something that made her stomach drop.
Charizard had flew off when they first landed, and Crystal knew why.
/It's his choice, and he knows it./ Crystal thought. /If he doesn't come back, that is what he wants./ she told herself.

"I don't know, are you?" Lance said, and poked her. "Okay, you are. I'm meant to check out the pokemon mansion, there was suspicious activity reported there. might be team rocket. Wanna come?"

"Sometimes it happens," Lance shrugged, then waved Shelly to knock down the door.

Pushing the remains out of the way, he stepped into the dark hallway.

Crystal followed, wishing she had Charizard as a light.
So, she uncalled Umbreon.
*I see Charizard is...* Umbreon yipped as she brust out.

Shelly breathed fire occasionally, lighting the path. Lance walked down the corridor briskly, turning his head and looking into each room, until the passage ended, and he faced a statue of a strange pokemon that emnated power.
"Ahh," he breathed out.

Crystal looked at the statue. "Is that Dragonite?" she asked. "I can't really see."


Charizard landed on the Gym, and flew down it. He perched on a ledge and waited, flewing stalkerish.

"No..." Lance said thoughtfully, and clicked his fingers to shelly for more flame. "It looks a bit like Mew."

Crystal screamed, and fell.

Charizard finally saw her. He smiled, and remembered when he first saw her.

*Flashback*

Back when Crystal still was a novice trainer, she challenged Blake.
At that time, he had a female Charizard who was scard to fly.
Charizard helped her conquer her fear,and really liked her. But when it was time to leave, he choose traveling with Crystal above staying there.
He wanted to see how she was doing after all these years.

Lance landed in a crouch, Shelly landed hard on the stone floor. *Ouch,* she muttered, and Lance returned her. "That was meant to happen," he said, dusting himself down.

Crystal landed not as prettyily, as in, on her face.
To make matters worse, Umbreon landed on her back.
*Thanks for breaking my fall!* Umbreon yipped, laughing.

Lance noticed a bit late Crystal's bad landing and helped her up. "Land on your feet," he chastised her. "It should be automatic."
