Irascible was getting sleepy. His eyes closed and he fell asleep.

Cinder grudgingly got to his feet, "Fine, happy?"

Winter watched Irascible drift off and she soon did the same, her eyes shut and her breathing slowed.

Ria smiled as her stomach growled. "Let's go hunting, Sirius." She said. "Cinder can come if he wants- he doesn't look hungry though."

Sirius nodded, "Sounds good, we can just bring him back something." He told her as Cinder fell back asleep. "Let's go," he told her.

Sirius walked near the river and began to search for prey in the river beds.

Ria sniffed for prey. She couldn't smell any. "That's strange... usually there is prey scurrying everywhere..." She said uneasily as she looked at Sirius, her eye carrying nervousness.

Irascible rolled over in his sleep and fell in the river. xD

Sirius nodded in agreement, "Yeah, that's so weird, I wonder why there isn't." She questioned and continue to sniff for prey but she could scent any.

Winter heard a splash and she leaped to her feet and she spotted Irascible in the lake, "What happened?"

Ria perked her ears up. "This only happens... when a beast is nearby.." She murmured. Beasts always scare away prey.

Irascible gasped in surprise, only to breath in water. He jumped out of the water onto land and choked on water. He coughed out a mouthful of water.

Sirius nodded slowly, "Yeah, one must be close..." He said tensly, he looked around quickly trying to see if he could spot the beast.

Winter cocked her head, she raised an eyebrow and smiled emotionlessly, "You fell in, how the heck did you do that?"

Ria sniffed the air as she suddenly heard a crash. She swiftly turned her head to the direction she heard it from. "What was that?"

Irascible started laughing. "I have no idea. I was having a dream.. then I guess I just fell in." He shrugged.

Sirius looked around rapidly, "I don't know." He walked towards the noise and said, "Think it's a monster?"

Winter nodded slowly, "Oh, are you okay?" She asked him, she looked at him calmly and waited for him to answer.

Ria took a step back. "Probably..." She swallowed.

Irascible sighed and nodded. "Yeah- I'm fine." He said as he shook himself dry.

Sirius got ready to fight, his neck fur rising as he growled towards the direction that the noise.

Winter nodded, "I guess it's about time we got up anyways." She said, leaping out if the way of the water that was splashing from Irascible's pelt.

"Sirius, be careful!" Ria shouted as a mountain lion burst into the open. It roared with fury.

Irascible nodded. "I... I guess it was a good few minute nap." He shrugged.

Ria pounced forward and jumped on the lion. She started tearing at it's face.

Irascible stretched.

Sirius growled and leaped forward. He hung onto the lion's back and bit at its neck.

Winter got to her feet and yawned.

The lion roared in pain and hatred as he shook around, trying to get rid of the animals on him.

Ria jumped off the beast and stood in front of it, waiting for it to lose energy.

"So, you want to take another nap?" Irascible said, humorously.

Sirius jumped back and he stumbled over his tail as he did so. He got to his feet and shook away the pain he felt in his back leg.

Winter shook her head, "Nope, I don't think I could go to sleep again after already waking up.

Ria ran over to Sirius. "You alright?" She asked. "We need to wait for the beast to run out of energy."

Irascible nodded. "Yeah." He looked up at the orange and yellow leaves falling to the ground.

Sirius nodded, "Yeah, but that could take forever, we might be beaten up pretty bad by the time he runs out of energy..."

Winter looked up at the trees to and she stared at them for a long time.

"It's still freaking out though..." Ria noted as she watched the lion shake around crazily. "It thinks we are still on it..."

All of a sudden the lion stopped and gasped for breath.

Irascible looked at Winter.
What does she think about the trees... and nature..? He wondered.
