The Dragons were banned from the Kingdoms in the olden days, when the humans waged war on them out of fear. Their leader, CoalFire, made a pact with them. The Humans stay away from Ka'lee, and they will stay out of The Humans way. But the Humans have broken their pact, engulfed with fear for their safety, and out of greed and for fame of being The New Age Warriors. They brought their Tech to better their lives, but is only destroying them. This is the story, but Dragon style.

Dragons can live to about 10 Sunspins. ~Years~ And they can become Elders at about 7 years. Or, they can become Elders if they have been badly injured in battle. If your Dragon dies, you can make another one.

Well, I start.


Forged sat in her den, pondering on her choice. She did not know it her choice was best for her Weyr (Pack, clan). Fighting the Humans may be a great choice in some Dragons opinion, but she knew better. She had been in a few battles, caused by their past leader, Ground Quake. He had hated the Humans, and wanted to obliterate them and all of their creations. He wanted to take all that they have lost back, all the Humans have took from them. "My choice is best for the Weyr." She muttered to herself. She climbed out of her den to tell the Clan.

The beams of morning light shone down upon the Weyr's home grounds. Y'liath came out of his cave and stretched his golden wings, the shimmer of his scales flashing though the shadows of the den. Several dragons had already stirred, and Y'liath could see his leader's black form emerge from her den. "Perhaps she plans to address the Clan?" Y'liath muttered, and made his way into the stone clearing below.

There had been much chatter among his fellow dragons about the humans' uprising. Y'liath himself knew that a full-out battle would be dangerous, especially at this time of year, when prey hid too well in the forests and mountains. Fighting would leave them too weak to hunt, and the Weyr would starve. Many dragons had already been killed in past battles, and the clan was weaker than ever, both in strength and number.

"Clan! I call this meeting to order!" Forged called. "I know we have many anxieties about the Humans. We shall NOT fight, unless the Humans attack first, and the casualties are few!" She looked at the worried faces of her friends, family, and the rest of the Weyr. "If the Humans DARE attack us again, we shall stand, and FIGHT!" She snarled, and lowered it to a growl, and listened to the cheers of the clan. She then looked closely at the few dragons she consoled her thoughts to, and only one looked upset. It was D'hearn, meaning 'Darkest of Hearts.' She knew he was angry about her decision, and decided it was for the best. 'Anything he hates anyways,' She thought, 'means that its the best choice.' She paused from her thoughts as the Dragons cheering died down. They then disbanded and went to start their daily tasks and chores.

Sunspots parted away from the group of dragons reminding herself to get healing herbs( are there specific herbs in this rp?). Sunspots lept off a cliff and soared away. She could feel the wind rush past her body and could tell it would be a sunny day. She started flying towards the forest where most of the healing herbs grew.

Y'liath broke off from the dragons, thinking about Forged's speech. True, there were some who opposed her decision, but Y'liath believed that it was the right choice. There was a lot of work to do besides preparing for war. Which reminded the golden dragon to find his apprentice, Whirl. He had been planning to show her some new hunting techniques. Hel'kar Woods was the perfect place to practice, providing lots of foliage and trees for coverage.

Taking a quick look around the clearing, he spotted the young cyan dragon. "Whirl!" he called, coming over to her, "Have you seen Wind-Flight around?" He couldn't seen to find the female dragon, who was Whirl's other mentor. Due to the lack of young dragons, Forged had doubled up two warriors to each apprentice. Naturally, this made training harder for the future warriors, but it also gave them amazing potential if they could combine the skills taught by both instructors.

Sunspots landed in a small clearing in the forest and sniffed the air, there was the sour scent of human machines. what are they doing here? sunspots slowly walked towards the scent. she peered around an ancient oak to see humans digging into the side of a cliff. You watched as a large human ran out of the cave with a large piece of diamond and yelled excitedly and many other humans crowded around. Are they digging for diamonds? This can't be good. Sunspots slowly crept away and pushed off the ground and flew towards camp.

Windflight dove gracefully from her cliff. Her blue wings stretched far and as she neared the ground, took a sharp turn up-wards. She floated lazily above the cliffs edge as it turned into forest. She swerved her body to the left, hunting for any wandering deer.

"Alright. Are you up for some hunting?" Y'liath flicked his tail. Perhaps Wind-Flight was just out, or on other duties. He hoped something hadn't happened to her, with the humans out there and all...

A shadow fell across him, and Y'liath looked up as a light gray streak shot past. It looked like the H'lind, Sunspots, but he wasn't sure. There were several gray dragons in the clan. In fact, most of the dragons in the Weyr were of a darker color -- blue, gray, or dark green. The brighter-colored dragons were too easily noticed by humans, and most had been killed. Y'liath was the only gold dragon in the clan at this time. Before, there had been several others...

"Oh, there you are!" Y'liath sighed with relief at the sight of his fellow warrior. With one powerful stroke, the gold dragon was in the air, gliding away from the cliffs that the Weyr called home. He flicked his tail for Whirl to come along, and adjusted his course to fly parallel to Wind-Flight.

The vast sea of green lay out under them, branches of ancient trees waving in the wind, as if dancing. The forests here had stood for hundreds of years, and were home to many creatures, both common and mythical. Warm currents of wind softened the dragons' flight, providing a gentle lift above the buffeting winds. There wasn't any visible human activity below, but you could never tell if they were there or not. The small human beings could hide among the trees as well as any deer.

she wasn't jealous about how fast he was. She flicked her tail and flew through the sky, scanning for prey. The green trees looked more like mini bushes for the were densely clumped together. Turning her head, she called out to Y'liath scowling,"Hey Y'liath, come on and stop dawdling."

Y'liath caught her look, and smiled to himself. It was great to know a she-dragon who didn't flirt with him or attempted to get his attention. He went out as much as he could, because he couldn't be himself in the Weyr. Wind-Flight treated him as an equal, or perhaps less than that, but Y'liath didn't care at all. Spending time training Whirl with her was carefree for him.

With smooth wingstrokes, Y'liath dived downwards a little, tilting his wings to give him a better angle of descent. At this lower elevation, it was easier to detect movement in the forest. Strangely enough, he couldn't see the usual treetop inhabitants. Which meant that there was something in the woods that didn't belong there. It could be anything, of course: a stray dog, cattle, a gryphon, or... humans.

Sunspots descended and ran quickly towards forged den. "forged!" she called out breathlessly. "th-the humans th-they*gasp* they are digging into a cliff in the south of the forest! They seem to be digging for gems!" sunspots breathed in deeply. "we have to do some thing! They could dig into our camp!" sunspots collapsed onto the floor out of breath. @iceyfira
