So on September 6th I turn 16. The problem is that I have no idea how to celebrate my birthday. We're not exactly poor, but we are kind of tight on money so I don't want to inconvenience my parents with the responsibility of throwing a party. Due to their long work hours I don't think we'll have the time to plan one anyways, so that's out. I really didn't want to make a big deal out of this, but they insist we must do something as 16 is a huge milestone and whatnot. So any ideas? ^^"

Maybe on like a Saturday night host a sleepover with your best friends 😃
I would do that 😸

One of my friends went to the movies but told everyone to buy their own ticket and to not get her a present

Another had a sleepover with under 5 friends, still pretty cheap

Another had a party in a park near their house with some fun party games

Sometimes at party places, there are special sales that can go pretty cheap so you can have a look through those AND LOOK at the websites for any extra sales

I have no idea what I'm going to do for my 16th because
1. I'm a twin who doesn't really get her say in anything
2. I hate almost everything out where I live -_-
3. Some things are just too pricey!

@wispers Um, most of my friends are guys. I don't think my parents would approve of that. Heh heh ^//^

@mastergemma Thanks, those ideas I will consider. The movies sounds cool, if I had friends to go with. My parents don't exactly let me go out much... *sigh* I'm sorry, haha my only sibling is two years younger, no twins.

@lynncrow Thanks for putting it back 😊 I didn't think anyone would even answer oO. I just might blow off my 16 too.

@lynncrow I don't exactly want to celebrate the first few weeks of school >.< *late birthday* But that sounds neat.. and convenient.

So I was thinking for my birthday, what about a trip to the dollar store and buy like 10 packs of glow-sticks and animal crackers and throw a techno party with just close friends, or something? It'd be fun, no? And certainly different. Maybe.^^

Do you want to spend it with your parents, friends, or both?

@kimichanx3

Have your friends over for the night and at night go bowling! It's only a couple bucks per person too. Or at least where I live it is. Or you could all go to a lake for the day. Or the park. 😃 And then rent a movie and watch it and eat candy. Haha this is like the kind of party I'd want so I don't know 😋

@tralala44 I was thinking just close family, my parents don't approve of my friends. (since they're mostly guys..)

@lonewolf What about a glow-stick techno party? ^^ it's original all right. And it's possible to buy everything at the dollar store even!

@kimichanx

Ok. Why dont sit down and watch some tv!? Parents like spending parent and child time. Maybe popcorn too? Or go to a cinema!

@kimichanx3

That sounds awesome! :0 Do your friends like anime? You could totally rent some anime movies too. xD

And the dollar store is cheap and has some pretty cool stuff. You should do that! :]

@tralala44 I don't watch much tv oO. But the cinema I am also considering. Thank you for your ideas 😊

@lonewolf I'm not sure if they do.. but maybe we can watch Studio Ghibli films, like Sprited Away, my favorite movie ^^ both are great ideas, thanks ❤️
