@honk I've never been to a convention because I'm always poor, but I would consider myself one, yes. So far as learning Japanese because I'm so in love with the language. Our anime clubs in highschool and college can attest to my love. 😋
But it's your choice. Your questions. What do you consider Otaku?

I loved the Tokyo Mew Mew anime, it's been too long since I've seen it though
I haven't watched the InuYasha anime yet even though I have season 1 and 3 on dvd 😋 I've read the manga though

You had some named after Pokemon which is classified as an anime too though XD

Have you ever seen princess tutu?
It's pretty good.
And sailor moon, which I heard that they are making a new season of it this year.
And then there's Ultra Maniac. It's an anime inspired by a manga, but it's really short with only one season, and nothing like the books at all.
