Even though he must have disliked Laura, it seemed he was a little bit concerned. It could have been for several reasons though.

Yuuretsu sat down and started eating his own burger. He was surprised at how fast Zeneda could eat. Inabikari chomped her own burger off the tray in one gulp as well. After all, Dragon's have quite an appetite. After swallowing his third bite, Yuuretsu spoke. "So, where do you train with Omni? It must be the south side of Kumogata, because I don't remember ever seeing you two around in the north skies."

The scowl didn't leave Bernard's face as he walked away, motioning for General to follow him.

Dominic stood for a long while. He knew it was useless to try and convince him to let Laura in. Just then he had an idea. Running back to the front desk, he whipped out an empty folder and slipped Laura's application inside before running outside and down the street, passing right by Laura and her Dragon and into the Recreational hall. Only Kumogata Sky Soldiers and staff were allowed inside.

Nearly bumping into him, a woman with a long black ponytail exited the building. "Woah, watch where you're going." she said, stepping aside to avoid being crashed into. A long, sleek emerald colored dragon exited behind her as the young man continued on.

"Sorry!" Dominic called back.

The woman sighed in slight annoyance as she flicked her ponytail back.

Laura grimaced as Dominic walked by her. "Come on Acid, I wasnt accepted. Lets go home, and check on M'Chor." M'Chor was a little bit over than a month old, a baby dragon Laura found in abandoned nest, its nestling dead before they were even hatched. Laura climbed onto Acids back, and dug her heels into his sides. Acid grunted, and lifted off.

Dominic stopped, gasping for breath in front of Kurome, the best flyer of the city.

"Hey Dominic, what's up?" he asked.

"Kurome... you have to... take a look at this...!" he panted, holding out the folder.

Kurome took it and pulled out the paper. "It's an application form for the Sky Soldiers, signed today. ...What about it?"

"You gotta pull some strings for her. Bernard rejected the form before she could even show her potential!" Dominic pleaded.

"She was already rejected? Hmm... I'll try, but I can't make any promises." Kurome replied, putting the form back in the folder. "Why so desperate though? Is she your girlfriend?"

Dominic turned red. "What? No, it's not like that! We always need flyers and I hate to see them go to waste when Bernard is being a jerk! Anyway thanks man, bye." With that, he left before Kurome could say anything else to him.

Kurome slipped the paper out a bit to inspect it further. "Laura and Acid, huh?" he said to himself.

Acid starred chittering happily, and turned around in mid-flight. "Acid, what in the name of Death are you doing?!" Laura said, upset. Acid started flying back to the Hall, and Laura grabbed at the chain at his neck. "Acid! Stop!" She screamed. Acid started flying faster and faster, and started to flips and quick turns. Acid roared, a happy roar. "Gahh! Acid stop! Whats the matter with you?!" Lauranwas screeching at the top of her lungs, clinging to Acids neck to try and keep from falling off. Acid started doing more ad more tricks, from corkscrews to complicated flight patterns. "Aciiiiiid!!!!" Laura wailed, scared out of her wits. Her heart was racing, and her face scrunched up in terror of falling. She pulled fiercly at Acids chain, and he stopped suddenly in mid-fight. Laura sighed in relief, and Acid started flapping slowly to land.

Zeneda bobbed her head animatedly until she swallowed her current bite of sandwich. "Yup," she then replied with a cheeky smile. "South-western end, sorta'. There's less of a crowd. I think I'd be embarrassed to try new things if I was flying up in the north." Omni snorted in agreement, curling up around the legs of Zeneda's chair. He seemed content for the moment, although he would probably be asking for another burger before the two of them left.

Acid landed gently, like a a pixie, not a lurking 3 ton dragon. He purred, and stood on his hind legs, making Laura fall with a thunk off his back. "Ow... what was that for?" Asked Laura. Acid purred again, and nudged Laura up. "Oh... we are home." Laura said. She must have been deep in thought to miss this miniature haven. "Scree!" Called M'Chor, and leaped onto Laura. "Oy vey, M'Chor, your heavy now..." She laughed. She pushed the nestling off, stood up, and brushed hersef off. "M'Chor, have you been good lately?" She said, glancing around her surroundings. He clearly hadnt, for the clearing was a mess.

"I was pretty sure that was why I had never seen you. I haven't heard of you either, so I guess your not one of those prodigy flyers who race to the top before anyone can blink an eye?" Yuuretsu chuckled a bit. Behind his laugh though was a disappointed realization that he'd been flying for several years and still hadn't reached a higher rank than 10. It was his ultimate goal, even if he could only reach exactly 10 and no higher... he would be content with it.

Inabikari let out another yawn and rested her head on the edge of the table. She was more than ready for a nap.

Laura was interrupted when a very small purple Dragon flew towards her. Landing gently, swiftly and elegantly, it folded it's wings and trotted up to her. In it's mouth it held a letter addressed to her. It was from none other than Kurome Yamihishou.

"Whats this?"" Asked Laura, gently removing the paper from the little dragons mouth. She patted it on the head, and held out some cherrys. M'Chor seemed to love those fruits, and she wanted to see if the little purple dragon did also.

The small Dragon excitedly stood up on it's hind legs, lightly flapping it's wings to stay up, it's eyes following the round red fruits that Laura held. She noticed it wore a black collar, the name "Swift" embroidered on with silver thread.

"So your Swift, huh? Cool." Laura tossed Swift the berries, and snapped her fingers. M'Chor walked slowly up to Laura, and when he noticed the cherries, he ran up to Laura, with a begging look on his face.

With her mouth once again full of food, all Zeneda could do for a moment was shrug. "I don't think I've ever been a prodigy anything," she admitted finally with a slight gasp. "But I don't think I have nearly enough practice, either. Omni and I are getting really fast, and I'm . . . slowly learning how to handle turns." Her eyes darted to the side, avoiding Yuuretsu's gaze. "Still falling out of the saddle. Good thing Omni's got such big feet! Sharp claws, though." She put down her sandwich (albeit with slight reluctance) to pull her left sleeve up to her shoulder. On that arm was a gash at least four inches in length, sutured up but still red and swollen. "That was yesterday," she added, tugging the sleeve back down.

Swift circled around Laura and sat down in front of her. It seemed he was waiting for her to read the note, it's beady yellow eyes fixed on the paper.

"Ouch, that had to hurt..." Yuuretsu cringed at the thought of getting scraped by the claws on Omni, they did look sharp. "I've fallen off Inabikari a few times, so I wouldn't feel bad about it- everybody jumps through that hoop. I'd even say Kurome must have fallen once or twice." he couldn't help but laugh a bit as he imagined Kurome falling off his dragon. Something like that now would be like the sun not rising, it'd just never happen.

Laura sighed, and tossed some cherries to M'Chor also. He chittered happily, and settled down to eat them. She glanced at Swift again, he was staring at the paper in her other hand. "What, you want me to open it? Not likes its gonna be anything important..." She opened up the folded paper, and started to read it.

Name: Selena Avoux (Pronounced A-Voh)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: Selena has wavy, midnight black hair that reaches the middle of her back. Her skin is light, but not overly so. She has bangs that cover her left eye, and hang done to her chin. The bottom inch of her hair takes on a light silvery blue color. Her eyes are light blue, with several silver speckles.
Dragon's Name: Zero
Dragon's Appearance: Zero's scales are almost all black, except for those near the end of his tail. The scales begin to turn a shade of lighter black, until it reaches the end of the tail, where it is edged in silver blue. The top of his head has a crown of small silver spikes. Much like the scales on his tail, the ones on his limbs gradually become a lighter silver-blue shade. Three small silver spikes are set in each of the dragon's limbs around the elbow and knee area. His wings are black, and edged in silver.
Dragon's Element: Ice Black
Other: I love my Dragon ~* Selena hates spiders, and is possibly afraid of them, though no one but her dragon knows that. Zero is a male.

As Laura began reading the letter, Swift got excited and began bobbing up and down.

"Greetings, this is a letter to notify you that you have been accepted into the Kumogata Sky Soldiers

I hope you will do well to protect the city and the people in it.

Sincerely, Kurome Yamihishou."

The letter had really been signed by the best in the city, she was probably holding something that's be worth tons in the future. Not everyone got a letter from Kurome.

"Im accepted, now arent I? What do I care. When I go back,their probably gonna arrest me for stealing, killing, assult, voilence..." She listed a bunch of more things she had done against the law, and frowned. "Or they just want to humiliate me for not being afraid of the Taka whatever." She folded up the letter again, and handed it back to Swift. "Tell them denied. Its not worth going back." A sad look was on her face, as she patted the little dragon on the head.

Zero circled a few times over the recreational hall, before he changing the angle of his wings so they faced the ground. He pulled his wings together on his back and dove towards the ground, before spreading them wide when they were only a few feet away from the dirt ground. Zero flapping a few times, before landing. The dragon sat on the ground, after stretching out his wings. Selena hopped off easily and once her feet touched the ground, she gave Zero's snout an loving pat before rubbing a spot beneath one of his head spikes.

"I'd say I've fallen off more than a few times," she chuckled in reply. Beneath the lighthearted tone, however, there was some true shame in her eyes. The comment about Kurome had her laughing out loud. "Now that's something I'd love to see," she replied with a cheeky grin. "What's he like, anyway? I've never had the privilege of meeting the guy. General word is that he's nice but that might just be hero worship."

Selena began walking towards the recreational hall doors, Zero following right behind her. His head hung high in the air above her, casting a shadow as he followed behind Selena. She stepped into the hall, and her gaze swept the entire room.

Swift lowered his head then ran in a few circles, confused. It seemed he was told not to take the note back, as if someone already knew what she'd do when she got it.

So anyway...

Kurome walked through the Recreational Hall, on his way to the cafeteria. Three girls were sneaking around behind him, they obviously weren't riders so they had probably followed him inside without permission. "I wonder if he looks any cuter when he's eating!" One squealed. (Lol, I can't believe I just wrote that. xD)

"Well, he /is/ nice. I just envy him in all honesty. I've been trying to get up in ranks so I can feel a little bit better talking to him." Yuuretsu sighed and admitted. "I know it's stupid, but I'd feel out of place talking to him when I'm so lame right now."

Inabikari lifted her head, she hated seeing Yuuretsu so pessimistic. Nudging his shoulder with her snout, she made a small growl.

Her gaze landed on three girls that were sneaking through the cafeteria. She looked in front of them to see an guy that seemed to be about 20 or so years old. He wasn't that bad looking, with his brown eyes and black hair. Why there were girls stalking him, she had no idea, but she decided to walk over to them. Selena started walking towards the guy, Zero still following behind. The dragon seemed genuinely curious about something, and Selena rolled her eyes. Selena stopped walking once she was only a few feet away from him. "There are people stalking you." She informed, with an raised eyebrow.

Swift chittered a bit as he got ready to leave. Spreading his long thin wings, the small Dragon took off. Leaving Acid, M'Chor and Laura below. Dark clouds were gathering, it was most likely about to rain.

Kurome turned around at the voice, looking around the room to see the three giggling girls behind some crates. "Uuum, thanks I guess." he said, not sure what to think of the fact that he was being stalked. Sumizome hissed and sped at the three, scaring them away. "So Sumizome, is that why you've been running away at random and coming back, recently?" Kurome asked, looking up at his Dragon. Sumizome made a low growl, not denying it in the least.

Selena laughed at the exchange between the dragon, Sumizome, and the rider. Zero took quiet steps towards the other dragon, before giving it(Is Sumizome male or female?) a nudge as a greeting. Selena's laughter trickled away, before she spoke in between short bursts of giggles. "Your welcome."

Zeneda chewed a large bite of sandiwch thoughtfully. "If he really is nice," she commented, "then why not try and be his friend? If you're trying to get better, he might even have some cool stuff he could teach you. Besides, you can never have too many friends." She smiled brightly, before someone on the other side of the cafeteria caught her eye. "Speaking of . . . hey, Selena!" She greeted the other girl with a wide wave. Omni stood up, and stuck his head above the sea of people to make the two of them more visible. "Is that-?" Zeneda asked, knitting her eyebrows. "It is! Looks like she's beaten you to the punch. Why don't we go say hi?" Hastily, she crammed the last bite of sandwich into her mouth and jogged over toward the two of them. Omni followed close behind, swinging his tail as he went.

Swift returned to Kumogata, landing in front of a young boy. "So Swift, what's the code?" He asked, excited. the boy had blonde hair and wore the official blue Kumogata Mail Service uniform, his bright blue eyes complimented the clothes he was wearing.

Swift ran in a quick circle then bowed his head in an almost sad fashion.

"So it was declined, huh?" The boy asked. Swift nodded slowly. "I better go tell Kurome."

Sumizome glanced at Zeneda, but her attention was grabbed by Omni. Very quickly she turned her head to inspect the ceiling instead.

Kurome noticed Yuuretsu hadn't left the table with the two, but took Inabikari and through the back door and exited there. He didn't think much of it though and turned his attention to a young boy entering the building with his little purple Dragon.

"Kurome!" The boy called.
