Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

I snagged myself a copy of White 2 on Sunday at the closest GameStop using what little money I have (I wasn't actually expecting to get it until around my birthday on the 19th), and I must say, I'm only a few gyms in, but it's a ton of fun already. Blame PokeStar Studios. xD

But seriously though, I'm liking the fact that the folks at Game Freaks are actually doing something DIFFERENT and releasing sequels instead of a remake with a slightly different plot. I really can't wait to explore some more new areas of Unova.

@spikaya I give credit to GameFreak for throwing a curveball. I 100% expected Pokemon Gray/Grey, not Black 2 and White 2.
Last time we had a sequel was with the second generation.

My copy of Black 2 came in the mail today, so I'm pretty excited. I haven't played it yet though. The English names for the protagonists are much better than Hilda and Hilbert.

@Meteroid Well, Nate and Rosa aren't my favorite names in the world (not that they're bad names or anything), but almost anything's better then Hilda and Hilbert. Seriously.

@goku The games are made for the DS, so, either, technically.

@goku It's for the DS, but there are a couple 3DS-exclusive things for some visual stuff, I believe.

You guys need to tell me if it's any good. I have Pokemon Black and I heard in reviews that it's the "best Pokemon game ever". Also, what starters did you guys choose? I chose Oshawott. Mainly because I like how it looks the best. I always stuck with Fire type ever since I started playing Pokemon but I don't like Tepig.

@lonewolf I've been playing a LOT of White 2 since I got it, and I'm having a ton of fun with it so far. I'd highly recommend it to anyone except for the people who are just tired of Pokemon.

I chose Oshawott as well. Honestly, other then Chimchar and SOMETIMES Cyndaquil, I just go for the water type. I probably would've gone for the fire type when I originally got Black 1 if it wasn't a PIG.

@spikaya oDo i snagged one in gamestop this sunday as well and boy... The line went 3 stores down(thank god i was the second one there).i got white 2 and black 2 (black was for my sister) i have to say, i thought they were going to recreate some of the old games.

Yeah, one of my friends was telling me yesterday that I really should buy it. Right now I'm kinda broke though haha. Maybe for Christmas or something I can get it.

I know right? I was like,"Oh great- it's a pig..." Otherwise I would've chosen Fire. And then the Grass type was just some kind of snake- and I hate snakes. Bleh. 😋

My friend absolutely adores the Nate character & his Japanese name though.
All day I hear:
"KYOUHEIIII
ALL THE KYOUHEIS
PRINCE KYOUHEI
NINJA KYOUHEI
ASFASAD-
AND MORE KAWAII DESUDESU KYOUHEI"

She really does.
But she already finished the game in two days. It took me two days before I could have the time to start xD

@sanibel_18 So far (I'm working on getting my second badge) its different than White was. You start in a different town, an actual city and not a tiny village. The first and second gym leaders are different, you can catch previous gen pokemon right away. Yeah, its pretty different so far. 😊 Which makes sense since they are sequels and not remakes like all the previous generations.

I'm really excited to get this game, but I'm going to wait for X-mas rather than spend my money right away. x3

I still have Black 1 and I'm going to buy White 2, since I just love how Reshiram turned out. *-* I remember when me and my brother both wanted White because of Zekrom, but now we both want Reshiram. xD

And of course, I'm going to choose Oshawott. ^-^ I've always been found of Water type starters. 8D I already got my team done. 😃 Electross, Samurott, Breloom, Lucario, Arcanine and maybe some Bird Pokemon. o3o

@daikirai The only real differences are Black City to White Forest, a design change on a lategame city I can't remember the name of, a few design changes in dungeons specific to the sequel versions, and some Pokemon. So they're pretty much the same.

@orderedchaos You do start exploring old areas after beating the second gym, but there are some new routes and caves to explore. Even some of what's already there has been changed. So yeah, it's all still pretty new.

Also, since I have a 3DS, I'm thinking about getting the Dream Radar app thing for the special legendaries. Does anybody have it, and if so, what do you think of it?

Anyways, my fight against Ghetsis (omg spoilers you fight Ghetsis in this game) was freaking terrible - I won, but only my Krookodile was left standing AFTER abusing the four Max Revives the game just hands you.

@icymuffin I really want a 3ds too, I feel like if I get pokemon then I will want a 3ds, then I will want animal crossing 3ds.

I cost enough as is, I shouldn't add unneeded expenses D:

I will just get the pokemobs mod in minecraft!
