Anybody else out there going to suffer from the Frankenstorm?

On the eastern side of the US, a cold front form the north is bringing down a snow storm, then hurricane Sandy is coming from the south. And they are going to "collide" in the area I mentioned above.

Oh, I was hearing how bad it's gonna get there. My neighbor just came back from visiting her grand kids there. And she was telling us how she was trying to get out of there before the major part of the storm hit.

@awesomeness365
I know o.o It's so cold

@whispers

Even Fire Island is being EVACUATED. And its a barrier island, so that means the storms gonna hit HARD.

Dang. I live in the middle of MD and apparently the eye will be so close to where I live tomorrow ;o;

@whispers

Apparently that's not the only thing that's going on weather wise, on the other side they had an earthquake up by British Columbia 7.7 that generated a Tsunami warning for Hawaii. A regular hurricane storm is about 500 miles wide this thing is so huge it's seen by satellite image it's 2,000 miles wide it's very huge. And from seeing the youtube vids the newsreporter standing on shore was talking and it's so strong and windy that the sea foam looked like snow.

I haven't heard about those. My news channel is 24/7 Frankenstorm watch o_e

@whispers

Sometimes it's good to look on youtube you'll find news reports on all kinds of things, and I've been watching it from there and reading online.

@iceyfira

I think it's better they evacuate they will lose lots of electricity during the storm. Lots of transportation is being shutdown from flights, to trains, to subways, everything just to be prepared.

My parents don't let me on YouTube xD So it makes sense I don't know .__.

@iceyfira
I agree with ladyrhea on that.

@iceyfira

I think I'd be too considering that they can see how huge it is. This isn't even a normal storm it's going to get stronger as it reaches up becuz of the jet stream that will fuel it more energy. So instead of becoming weaker which should happen, it's going to get stronger and that's what they're worried about becuz lots of damage everything in a storm considered, I'd take cover too, you just don't know what it's going to bring and how it's going to affect those poor pplz there.☹️

@ladyrhea

I know, I never said why are they evacuating them. I said they are. Im just wondering why LI isnt being evacuated also.

Deleted • 28 October 2012 at 9:09 PM

@whispers

Well you can also read it up online I usually look at Yahoo news online they cover everything. It's my opening page so I always see what's on the news. Not to go too far off topic but Taylor Swift already broke up with her bf LOL.

@iceyfira

Yeah I don't know why they're not either. So many area already taking precautions. I think the air does feel much colder that it's passing by the coast today it was windy and chilly too.

I'm in southern CT, and I'm bracing for impact xD

Deleted • 29 October 2012 at 10:44 AM

@zafeyry

Whoa! That sounds very scary and seeing it on the news the winds are really strong from this storm, and instead of dying out like a regular hurricane it will become stronger as the winds from the other jet stream is going to fuel it. I've been watching and reading up on it too...The weather's been cold and chilly and a bit windy, but I think the ppl in the direct line of it is really in for a shocker.☹️

I'm in Massachusetts, and I think our governor ordered school to close. So I don't have school today. I'm not really worried about it, but my dad's friend is expecting a huge storm.

Deleted • 29 October 2012 at 10:47 AM

@gggaaahhh1
It's just for safety that they close lots of places down.
@cat
Yeah they had an earthquake on the other side with tsunami warnings for Hawaii. And the moon has a Halo over it at nite, ppl have vids on that on youtube.

I live in northern VA and right now schools out. The worst of it should start this afternoon or so. Right now it's just so freezing cold and our heater broke yesterday. My family has the worst timing ever.

Deleted • 29 October 2012 at 11:00 AM

@zafeyry

Alot of ppl are buying generators, but it'd be handy for you to have some source of light around like flashlights, candles, lanterns, just in case if it does go out and they estimated that about 10mil might be without power for a week at most. I don't know, that's still a long time to wait for power to get back on, especially if it's going to be cold you need to be warm. No heaters, ugh! I alwayz have heater on during very cold days.
