@iceyfira I hope my campus has things covered. Internet generally seems reliable right now, but who knows.
It's so dark and depressing outside.

Same with me, I looked out the window, and it reminded me of how I feel when Im sick. o-o I live on Long Island, close to the water, but Im not gonna be evacuated. Its weird, really, with Fire Island being evacuated.

I hope everyone stays safe with hurricane Sandy. I have friends, both in real life and on here, that are currently being buffered by the storm.

Our internet was down for about 1/2 hour. It's also the night our trash gets picked up. I think our trash can will blow over. I'll stay up till they pick it up *sigh*

@Metaphor The wind's so strong on Signal Mountain that I swear I can feel it right now, even though I'm in bed! It's getting rainy and I've got some percussion made out of sticks slamming the roof right above my head (I'm on top of my bunk bed). Don't think I'm gonna get any sleep tonight! I hope they at least cancel school, though I doubt they will. >.<

They closed the schools here. My sister doesn't have school tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned, I still have my class tomorrow, but it's at 1:15, so I suppose anything could happen between now and then.

From what I saw on the news NYC is suffering from a lot more than just heavy rain. Its getting so bad that people are having to evacuate. Buildings are falling and everything.

I just hope no one suffers anything severe. Did you guys know that in Atlanta City, their streets are now flooded? I feel guilty of having electricity and sitting comfortably at home.

my dad is overseas and he's freaking out that his house may get crushed buy trees...the neighbors already lost one of thier rooms ><

they all live close to the woods and a tree hit his deck during the last big storm ><

Don't worry guys I think what you heard is the people that died in the Caribbean when sandy came through there. I haven't heard of anyone dying in the US yet.

I don't mean that to sound like their deaths don't matter. I just don't want you guys to worry too much.

Oh, it's good to hear there were less people dead than I have expected, but yeah, like you said, poor Caribbean people. Still, I saw images of Manhattan right now, the whole city pretty much lost complete power, save for the Empire State Building, quite frightening.

Just heard that some people have been killed in NYC. Empire State Building is basically the only building with power.
