@gggaaahhh1 I live in Massachusetts also. How hard do you think it's going to hit us? ☹️

They closed school for the day here in Massachusetts
@gggaaahhh1 You got no school too?
I'm kinda worried that the hurricane will make us loss power, that's why i'm going to put my creatures in tims. The hurricane might also flood the basement but that's happened before when there's heavy rain.

I've been watching it and it has always been a worry for these areas. That a Storm of this magnitude would hit.Especially the NY,NJ, and LI areas. Stay safe all those in the direct path. Especially heed all the warnings and if your supposed to evacuate do so.

We are just close enough to get all the rains and winds. The cold is a very, very wet cold. Feels odd to me. Used to a more dry freezing type cold. If the weather is too bad tomorrow I'll keep my kids home. My son walks to the bus stop and I take my daughter to school. My big worry is trees falling a part and hitting my son or the car while driving.

@luvmykids244

Yes I agree the cold is a different type of cold feeling. But you should keep your kids safe from this kinds of stormy weather. I think that's best that they do have school canceled, but other means of transportation are canceled too. From Airplanes, buses, subways everything.

@spirithawk

I don't know, but I really, really hope that the rain isn't strong enough to flood the basement. ☹️

@pinkred

Yeah, I got no school too. 😊

@emeraldmonster
That sucks 😱

@ladyrhea
Yeah, my dad was considering buying a generator because of last year. But I have my phone, so I'll be okay xD

Deleted • 29 October 2012 at 12:22 PM

@zafeyry

So he didn't get the generator yet? It's better prepared then not having anything you know. Your dad should get one just in case in any situation. Where I live there's always thunderstorms where the power goes out for an hour or more. Which isn't so bad, but when it's for days and a week that's alot harder to deal with. Also when there's no electric there might not be any phone service. If you get stuck anywhere make sure you have a meeting place for emergencies. I remember when I went thru an big earthquake all the power went out and some ppl didn't even have cell phones work. Now that's pretty scary especially if you're not with your family.

It's pretty windy/rainy here. Power went out for a split second last night.

Deleted • 29 October 2012 at 12:28 PM

@metaphor

My internet went down for a lil bit too. *sighs* Prob might have to log off soon cuz it might also mean the power might go out which is what happens when it's going off in the first place☹️

😱 I don't live in America, but from all the news etc, that storm sounds massive and dangerous. Take care of yourselves guys and make sure you're prepared.

@metaphor

I was wondering how it was in your area.

Getting small power surges. Lights keep dimming and the coming back up. If it was Halloween would be pretty cool lol I just hope the power stays on all I care about. Every thing runs on electric including the stove in our house.

It's right above us... The power just flickered so we're waiting for it to turn off completely. It feels just like Hurricane Irene.

Dang. I'm in Britan, and all American weather is passed on to us. NUUUUUUUUUUUU. And on Halloween too? Well, at least we don't have to lock, stock and barrel *phew*. Wait. Or do we D:

Not too bad yet, but it's only going to get worse from what I hear, starting tomorrow. Lucky for me, I don't have a class til 1:15.

It was very cold today, though, and all I hear is the wind outside my room as I type this. It definitely is bundle-up weather. I don't have gloves with me, but I need to get some because I could hardly feel my hands today!

Living in Britain too, @angelwolfeh. I think Sandy will die down and won't reach us 😉 *fingers crossed*

Thinking and praying for all you Americans... stay strong and take care all :]

@metaphor

Your a little bit closer to it then we are. I was frantically looking for gloves in the closets. Found them all. Most I had put away but my Daughter's were MIA. Found them inside a Winter Hat lol

Son came home excited hoping they call off tomorrow. I just hope the power does not go out all I ask for. Picked up my daughter and there are already tons of trees parts in the road. Poor kids walking home looked miserable ☹️

@karamel
Sandy's a weird little hurricane. She's turning into the Northeast U.S. and is making a semi-circle in the area. She's supposed to die out on land though.

@zafeyry Oh wow. I thought I was the only one who knew of it. It's hilarious on Twitter, not so much IRL 😋

EDIT: You just pinged me right when I was posting x3 Hopefully she'll die out soon, wherever...

It's a heavy mix of rain, snow, and wind right now.
Western Maryland is apparently looking at 18 inches of snowfall by the end of this. I'm gonna be snowed in, it seems.
