Hunter chuckled and watched in delight as Umberisk killed more Pokemon and humans. He looked around to see that there was blood almost everywhere around the floor of the forest. Trees were all over the ground, there was fire at some places and abandoned machines were not far.

Alex had told Sirius to get away and back to the cave. He, of course, did just that because he didn't like beig around so much conflict. The fire that surrounded her made her stronger, thanks to good old Flash Fire, and she sat on a burning log, watching all the Pokemon race around in fright. She made a slight face as the stench of human hit her nose, coming from their machines. She had been blocking out the scent until them and it was horrible.

Umberisk then turned to the Houndoom, still grinning. Blood spattered her face, and her serrated tail lashed from side to side.
'Umber! Umber, stop!' came the voice of Umberisk, one of her other forms.
Umber frowned and shook her head.
"Umberisk, it's my turn. I still wanna party!"
Then she leaped at the Houndoom, wanting to kill it before Umberisk reclaimed her body.
'She won't get me this time...'

Alex rolled her eyes as the Umbreon ran at her. She couldn't help but think, This pest couldn't kill me before, now she thinks that she can kill me in my element. These fires are powering me up but they're obstacles for her, let's have some fun. She instantly dodged to the side and leaped into the hollow trunk of a burning tree. Alex could jst barelyget in but she managed and she raced to the other side before leping ot.

Umber couldn't track the Houndoom, yet somehow she stayed on its trail, crashing through the trees as she chased her quarry. Spittle slipped through the corners of her mouth and mingled with the blood there, flying off in translucent drops as she pursued her next victim.

Alex stayed calm, it was one Umbreon and Alex was more than twice her size. She thought about her chances for a moment, Okay, so I'm a lot bigger than the Pokemon but she's pretty psycho. We're both dark-types, but I'm also a fire-type. We also happen to be in an area that is smoldering, and flames can't actually hurt me. She's smalled and can fit into tighter spaces than me. Alex was thinking all of this as she took a pause in berween a rock and a flaming tree. She then continued to sprint, though not in fear, more to just wear the Umbreon out.

Umber felt her legs growing weary, and thus unfolded her bat-like wings to take a more aerodynamic approach. She took to the air, slightly higher than the treetops, as she pursued the Houndoom.

Alex looked up and saw some sort of bat creature thing. She swore under her breath and darted into the shadows where her pelt blended in, Guess I'll just have to wait this Umbreon out. She thoght and she became very silent and very still.

Umber circled above and cried aloud in frustration. She had lost her quarry!

Alex waited quietly, she wondered if Sirius had made it to the cave alright, he could handle himself against a couple humans and Pokemon.She heard the cry of frustration from above and she became even more quiet, if that was possible. She hoped she wasn't visible, she was getting annoyed with this Umbreon and she began to wish that something would come up behind it and eat it already.

Umberisk fell from the sky. She had just regained control at the convenient time of being midair. She didn't cry as she fell, she simply hit the ground wordlessly. There was a sickening snap as a leg broke, yet still she didn't speak.
There was a hot liquid spattered across her muzzle, but she couldn't clearly see what it was. But upon feeling the same substance on her paws, she managed to glimpse it.
She choked back a cry of horror as she saw that it was blood.
'No... Not the blood of other beings! It should be my blood. My blood... Not enough of that was spilled,' she thought as she felt tears of shame pricking at the corners of her eyes.

Alex watched at Umbreon from far off cry and she rolled her eyes. She then decided to get moving so she slipped from the shadows, and raced past Umberisk. She was slightly slower at she had been wore out quite a bit from all the running done. She slowly dodged the falling trees but one landed right on her tail as she ran past it.

Alex growled, "Of course this had to happen now, while I escape from this wretched place." She pulled hard, trying to get the tree to release he tail but it was no use, it wasn't budging. Alex growled and pushed her head into the tree and she pushed with all her strength, managing to move the tree, but not with out causing it to scrape hard against her tail. Her tail was bloody but she kept running, her tail lying limply and bleeding as she ran.

Umberisk shuddered and looked away from the Leafeon. She wanted to run so badly, run and take away all the blood from her paws and face. She wanted to die, she wanted anything but this. She had a broken paw and a broken rib that she hoped would never heal. She hated herself. She had made the Houndoom hurt her tail and now she couldn't help because of her broken paw. She was useless, like always.
Always...
Useless...
Why couldn't she just die?

Umberisk complied, still shaking. How many times was she going to go through this? Every time she killed somebody, it hurt. It hurt... She was one to talk; she wasn't even the one dying!

Umberisk stood.
'I have to help that Houndoom!' she thought determinedly as she took a step... With her broken paw, of course.
'No... I can't let that stop me.'
She forced herself to walk, ignoring the pain in her broken bones as she moved. She narrowly avoided a falling tree as she limped through the blazing forest. She was mostly able to scent the Houndoom, though sometimes the smoke would be too strong.
Finally she caught up, though she stayed behind with her tail tucked in so as not to appear threatening.
"I--I'm sorry about earlier, that wasn't me! That was one of my other forms, Umber... I promise I'm not like that demon! I want to help you; your tail's hurt!" Umberisk rasped, her voice weak from strain but firm.

Zio woke up sometime later and noticed the Umberisk was gone. He then thought to himself "Oh no, Umberisk walked away on a broken paw I have to find her." Zio then started to sniff the air ; her scent was nowhere to be found.

Umberisk couldn't go any longer. She collapsed, sides heaving, among the burning trees. Blood trickled from her parted lips, pooling beneath her head. Her paw twitched painfully as she lay there, wishing she could get up to help.
'Maybe it would be better if I just died...' she thought, thinking of all the damage she had caused already.
'Maybe it would be better if I just disappeared...'

Well... The conflict ceased, but Umber (Umberisk's evil form) started killing off their ranks. She started trying to kill Alex, then became Umberisk again and fell, breaking a few bones. Then she started trying to help Alex, who was bleeding from her tail after it got caught under a log, or something.

Once Carla evolved, she realized how long she'd been out of the water so she went to the nearest pond, which happened to be very close. She started killing anything else that went in the water with her including submarines with saws to cut trees from above and to try and destroy Carla, but she destroyed the subs first. A Carnivine that belonged to the trainers happened to have been living at the forest for a while and saw what Carla was doing. Since his pokeball got destroyed in a yellow machine not long ago, he decided to help Carla.

Okay, time for Umberisk to be a bit more light-hearted. Once she's safe, that is.

Umberisk shook her head weakly in an attempt to clear it.
'No,' she thought. 'No, you are not always useless. No, you should not disappear. For all the harm you've done, there is still good in you. That you want to help is enough. You don't want to die, so live with all your might!'
Feeling mildly guilty for her pep-talk, she rose shakily to her paws and, Umbreon tail trailing in the dust, she trudged through the flaming forest out towards safety, searching for a place to rest.
