"What no, I was talking about you being the god of set-ups. I'm not going to switch, I'm alrea -" Tsana had an idea. "I just thought of something that could solve a lot of problems! Rue, you're not happy with your job. Chris is a problem because he's a mortal and he's seen all this, and I'm not sure if we could somehow make him forget or not - and even if we did he might still remember it all eventually. You could become the god of set-ups, and Chris could take your place as the god of death! That is, if he was okay with it." she said, then switched to words mortals could hear. "Hey, Chris?"

"I've got a question for you. Are you OK with killing a lot of innocent people - and some not-so-innocent people - every day? Rue here wants to switch to being a love god and we need someone to replace her. 'Course, a lot of the innocent people would be really old or really sick, or something. Would you be able to handle it?"

"...Hercules was just a legend. And mortals can become gods. Whenever we need a new god - or one of us is unhappy with our position - either we bring a mortal up to join us or one of us takes the new position and we bring a mortal to fill the old one." Tsana shrugged. "So, are you ABSOLUTELY SURE you want to do this? Once you decide either way there's no going back or stopping."

"Thank you Tsana. It seems Hvarr will hav to GET OVER IT." Chris said. "So how do I become this god?" he asked. Then Rue handed him a box.

"All you need is my box. Its holds everybody's string. It will show up in the box if they are going to die. If they don't deserve to die, blow on the string and they will be saved. Really you only do that if they have cancer or were shot.. in a place that's not like.. deadly.." Rue informed him on everything.

"But you have to understand that sometimes people DO die of cancer, it can't suddenly become a nonfatal disease. You just have to use your judgement and NOT take advice from the girl who spared every animal and baby on a daily basis. And by every I mean EVERY. You have to have a balance."

Hvarr glared at him, and the other goddesses. She snorted, then turned around. If this was what the meeting was all about, then fine. She ran off the mountain, becoming a quick blur. This was pointless. He was already one, given the responsibilities of the death god. He didn't do anything to deserve becoming one, and certainly had no right to, but it had happened. Old rules get destroyed. However wrong it is, they do.
She felt like snarling, or killing a just-saved mortal just to spite him. Kill that puny creature, and make it impossible for it to recover. That would be wrong, and she couldn't. Maybe making a weapon backfire would work instead. Still, wrong.
Instead she screamed the way only a horse can, ranting at her situation, and one she'd had long ago. As a wolf, with intelligent other wolves. Blatant wrongdoing, complete disrespect of the rules. Complete ignoring of her opinion. She was so caught up, she ran straight pass the country. Oh fuzz.
She swiveled back around, but it slowed her. Her butt suddenly fell into the water, and the rest too. Oh for heaven and earth! She snorted and ran back out of the water, straight into her fort. She fell down, mentally exhausted. Damp and annoyed, what joy. The goddess felt like killing something. That couldn't, wouldn't happen though. Aeria, Tsana, Rue, and that... Thing would probably find a way to strip her of her responsibilities, or maybe trap her as a tree for a couple centuries. WIth nowhere to vent her frustration, she banged her head against the floor so hard, she fell unconscious.
