"Yes, I did." Hvarr didn't feel like mentioning his absence at the meeting, and she doubted he would want to either. Still, he need to know what happened, immediately, so she said, "We have a new god."
She didn't know how he would react, and she certainly knew her reaction wouldn't help, whatever his opinion was, so she promised herself not to go crazy.
Her black eyes locked in on his oddly colored ones. They seemed to shine a bit. Wet. Tears? She was a bit shocked at how upset he was, but even more that he could actually produce tears. She shouldn't have, though. They were gods, there was no reason they couldn't do human-like things in an animal form.

Nevorn blinked a bit and felt a bit embarrassment wash through him with his reaction of missing one emergency meeting.
"That's interesting." he replied and actually turned towards her after feeling his tears disappear a bit.

His eyes scanned over her animal form, then searched her face for a sign of what emotions she held.
Was that an amazed look? No, she was shocked. About what? His eyes? The tears that were in them?
Nevorn got lost in his thoughts but was soon snapped out of it when he figured it out.
"Sorry about my outcome a little bit ago.. I guess I just exaggerated." His eyes softened a bit, although his mouth sported a canine-like sheepish smile.

Hvarr simply shrugged the second thing he said off. Things happen, natural or not. She watched him for a moment, than continued what she had said.
"A mortal that Tsana likes took Rue's job. She now has something to do with love." She could feel a bit of her annoyance coming out, as she got to the point so quickly. She mentally scolded herself, then looked at Nevorn for his reaction.

Nevorn raised an invisible eyebrow at Hvarr's words and sat.
"Rue and love? I knew she really wasn't the type for death although I never imagined she'd actually give her job away to a mortal. And I also never thought she'd get a new job involving love." he said, his eyes flickering to the ground where a ladybug crawled on the grass.

Tsana sneezed twice. Someone was talking about her...She popped up next to Nevorn and Hvarr just in time to hear what they were saying, then interjected a comment. "Well, I was thinking fast. The whole meeting was about Rue having a problem with her role; she had way too much mercy and actually was hardly killing anyone except criminals. And she's always been a bit obsessed with matchmaking. And then the boy - Chris, or Mors now - who Rue set me up with for one date somehow tagged along to the meeting and I wasn't sure what to do about it, because he saw so much...I'm sorry for coming up with the best thing I could think of."

When Tsana and... 'Mors' appeared, Hvarr felt like Nevorn would have adequate explanation, so she turned around and left. She didn't want to spend any time with this worthless newbie. She didn't want to go crazy with frustration either. She had planned on keeping her mind off of him. That goal might end up to be harder than she had assumed.
She swished her dark tail randomly as she went back into her workshop. She hadn't spent much time away, but it would be a good idea to turn the still cooling weapon over before it got stuck to the rack. Using her mouth-held tongs, she carefully picked it up and turned it over. It got up with little resistance.
The tongs were set down, and she walked out of her base again. It wasn't for any particular, god-like reason. It was for a mortal-bodied reason. Food. She ate grass. Lots of grass, unfortunately. It took a lot of time, so she tended to do it whenever she had spare time. The goddess didn't feel like moving far away from her base, so she started grazing within hearing range.

Nevorn watched as Hvarr left then turned back to Tsana and this 'Mors'.
"Hello... The name's Nevorn." he replied to the new god, cautious around him since he was in his territory.
He scanned Mors' appearance and found him looking very.. mortal-like.

The wolf wondered why Tsana would trust this idiotic "god" with her love.
He felt rather uncomfortable with him on his land and frowned.
"Thanks for coming, although I do not find your presence welcoming with how you uncaringly barged into a conversation I was having with a fellow goddess." he said, his eyes icy and the frown he just sported still plastered on his lips.

Tsana sighed. Now she couldn't tell Nevorn the other thing about Mors...and since he was a god now, she couldn't keep him from knowing what she said even if she said it so mortals couldn't hear. She turned and grinned at Mors. "Hi! Hey, um, I think I left my sketchbook in my dorm...Do you think you could go get it? I don't want to be rude and leave in the middle of our conversation..."

Tsana turned back to Nevorn. "As I was going to say, I don't love Chri - I don't love Mors. I like him, he's nice, but the only thing between us is that Rue set us up on a date. It's just...He does have feelings for me, I can tell, but I don't feel the same about him. And I don't want to hurt his feelings by telling him. He was a mortal until just tonight, and mortals often feel love - and the sometimes-resulting heartbreak - very strongly. I can't bear to tell him - he's only nineteen, he's nearly a child..."

I don't think so, anything could really backfire 😋
Like if Tsana fell in love with Mors because of Rue, possibly every author in the world would start writing love letters to the god of death 😋

"Rue decided to set you two on a date? Now I see why she's got a job involving love.." he added in a mumble, but picked his head back up to look at her.
"Sorry, Tsana, but I'm the god of companionship, trust and loyalty. Not romance, love and break-ups. Can't help you, especially since I've never had a relationship like that with anyone." he sighed, wondering when Mors was going to come back.
