Ryan thought, eh, she'd probably go to the hotel at night. QUickly, he flipped through his bookshelf, placing any books the might come in handy into his backpack. Then an extra bag for extra things like food, clothes, etc.

Storm lay down on the cold, hard concrete and tried to sleep. No such luck. So she layed alone in the cold, and stared at the stars she could barely see in the city lights.

*The next Day*

Adam woke up early, despite his much needed sleep. He had to gather everyone up, for today was the day, he thought. Today is the day to go! He made one last check for all his stuff, said a few farewells, and started towards the library, where the team would meet.

Finally Storm woke as the sun rose, dark circles clear under her eyes. She sat up on the steps of the library, closing her eyes in pleasure as the sun warmed her cold frame.

Adam ran to the library, and was shocked to see Storm already there. "How did you get here so fast?" he exclaimed. "Well, no matter. Are you ready for today? It's going to be so exciting!"

Ryan yelped as he looked at the clock, he quickly threw on a pair of clothes and grabbed his stuff and ran for the library. "I-I'm h-h-here." He panted, looking like a mess.

"Great! We're all here! Who wants to get started?" he asked. "Also-By the way, any of you know how to fly a- one of those brand new interstellar ships? I can to some extent, but I don't want to bet our lives on me unless I'm the only choice." Adam started to head towards the neatly landed ship.

Appearance: She has fiery red hair that constantly tries to come out of her ponytail, and eyes the color of a bright summer sky.
Personality: She's not used to being around other people, since most of her time was spent with only her parents and her little sister.

History: She grew up on a spaceship; her parents were interplanetary explorers in the first years of advanced space travel. As a result, she's an expert flyer, although she's only flown her parents' and not the newer models. However, she's sure it won't be too different.

Alura smiled uncertainly at the boy. She wasn't good with people... "Yeah...It's really something, isn't it?" She glanced back at it. "Wait, is that yours?" she asked, awestruck. Maybe she was a bit shy around people, but certainly not around ships, and hadn't that boy asked his friends if they knew how to fly it?, and she was good with ships, and it was the newest model, actually interstellar and not stuck in this solar system, and - "Youneedsomeonetoflyitright?right.andiknowhowtoflyshipsreallywellandimeanreallywellandifyouneedsomeonetoflyiticanflyitforyouifyouwantimgoodatflyingshipsand..." She trailed off, taking a slow breath in. "But I probably shouldn't get my hopes up..." She looked away, then turned back to him. "Wait...did you say I could go inside?" She squealed. "OHMYGODICAN'TBELIEVEIT!" She raced past him into the ship.

Adam was overwhelmed. "Don't mess with anything, this is still new! ... You seem to know quite a bunch about ships! We kinda, need a lift across the stars, throughout the galaxy, and we're in need of a pilot. Do you think you understand the controls well enough? You might just get yourself a big adventure if you help us!" He rushed after the girl. "DON'T PRESS THAT!!!!!"

Alura looked at the boy, a hurt expression on her face. "I know better than to push random buttons just because they're there, you know. And yeah, that sounds great!" She grinned, sticking out a hand. "I'm Alura. Alura Johnson. And you are?" She thought of something to ask. "Hey...how many people are going to be going?" she added cautiously.

Name: Shea Peterson
Age: 12
Appearance: Shea is a few inches shorter then average height and has dark brown hair with a hint of red in it. Her hair cascades down in small ringlets her bangs going to the side a bit just barely brushing her thin eyebrows. Shea has pale-ish skin that is just slightly tanned. Her eyes are green, but seem to just have a hint of blue in them. Shea is not heavy, but not very skinny either. You can always know when she is thinking, because she will pull her hair up with a black ribbon tied with a sloppy bow.
Personality: She is a very manipulative girl and can usually find someway to get something she needs. Shea tends to be a bit hyper and is anything but shy. The girl is very adventurous and would rather be exploring then sitting around do nothing. Shea, however, is not an unintelligent girl, and will map out her destination well before setting out on an adventure.
Gender: Female
History: Shea had lived with her mother and father, until her mother had died when she was about two. She has very few memories about her mother and has always been a daddy's girl. Money was tight, and even though her father loved her, he had to give her up for her own good at the age of nine promising her he would return for her. About a year later he was mysteriously dead, leaving Shea orphaned and lonely. The young girl had always known how to get something she wants, but not she used her skill for her needs. After hearing about the expedition she jumped on the opportunity.

"Why are you being so secretive?" she asked Adam, then jumped when another boy spoke from behind her, startling her. She turned to face him. "Actually, you might find that I'm a bit shy..." she corrected timidly. A sheepish smile crossed her face. "I just really like ships..."

Storm looked over at the man who had been watching them, and instantly stiffened. He smirked at her frightened expression and strided over. He had taken off his cloak, revealing that he wore a crisp officer's uniform. "May I ask where your parents are, little girl?" He asked politely, but Storm knew him, and was aware that he knew the answer. So she did the sensible thing. "Uh... Adam... I have to run!" Storm yelled, and sprinted away from the officer, who merely ran after her.

/Not again./ Storm thought, looking over her shoulder as the dude chased her, yelling curses at her as he tried to get her. /I can't be found here... Not after I found some friends... Not after I was offered this amazing journey./ Storm's vision was clouded with tears. Infuriated, she dashed them away and tried to circle back to the ship. /If I can get there.../ But the officer blocked her way. Cursing, Storm turned back and continued away from the others. "I'm sorry, Adam..." She whispered.

Adam saw Storm getting chased away by the policeman. "Well, that complicates things.. Should we go help her? We can't leave without her, but I don't want to leave the ship alone. Lots of people would be interested in taking it." He turned towards Alura. "Could you watch it for us?"

The man was gaining on Storm, a triumphant grin on his face as he reached out to grab Storm. "No!" Storm yelled, diving onto the ground and scraping herself up. The officer stopped just as he began to trip over her, and simply picked her up off the ground. "Alright street rat," He said, gripping her bicep and setting her on her feet, "Time to go." Storm glowered, "Fine, rich man. Make me go through heck while you sit back and laugh." She snarled, but the officer pretended not to hear her.
