@ems Midnightblaze looked at her with a question mark. She used her dark magic to make a towering black wall appear in front of Shadow. "Are you sure you don't need any.. help?"

@sandstorm99--Shadow frowned, removing her hood to reveal her scarred, black face, choppy green mane and electric green eyes. "Help with what, exactly?" She asked.

@emsNightfury was assigned to keep patrol of the clouds. With a watchful eye, she flew around, shoving any unwanted clouds into their place. Around the afternoon, the sun became a pest. The rays directed themselves to Nightfury's black body, causing her to overheat.

@ems Midnight removed the black wall and looked at Shadow straight in the eye, her hooves firmly planted on the ground. "I know you're up to something, and I can help with it."

@sandstorm99--Shadow smiled under her hood, her white, sharp teeth illuminated in the faint light. She led Midnight Splash towards the Everfree Forest. "If you're curious, I've found quite the little shop down here."

@featherstar_stormclan Not much happened... Just read page 2 and 3, it should help.@sandstorm99--"Nice trick." Shadow noted, coming up on the little shack of a shop. "Well, here we are." Shadow trotted inside and hung her cloak on a convenient hook. "Hey Dead Weed." She greeted the shop keeper. Inside, the shack was at least eight times as big as it appeared on the outside, and shelves covered the walls, cluttered with various knick-knacks and magical items. Behind an even more cluttered desk sat an old, haggish unicorn who was missing half her teeth. Her coat was a tumble weed brown, her mane and tail a surprising jet-black for her age. Her eyes were beady and grey, and she wore a small pair of reading glasses. "Hello Shadow." Dead Weed croaked, giving the filly a toothless grin. Shadow smiled at the old pony and turned to Midnightblaze. "You see, with magical items like amulets, even pegasi and earth ponies can use magic. I need to pick up a few charms and ingredients for some potions. Take a look around: you may find something interesting." The filly gave a lop-sided grin and began to browse through the shelves."So Shadow, what sort of amulets are you looking for today?" Dead Weed cackled as Shadow meandered over. "Oh, you know. Mostly for defense charms and a few brutal deaths. Gotta keep my shack safe." Shadow chuckled. "Well, if you hadn't noticed, I've done a bit of cleaning, so naturally things are a bit more organized. The violent charms are over there, and the defense charms are on this wall next to me." Dead Weed said, and Shadow rolled her eyes. "Yes, the place is much better than last time." She said, not lying. The first time she'd found this place, it was nearly in ruins.

Oh I reckon I'd look good in one, don't you thi-"She realized that Midnightblaze had gone off."Midnightblaze? Sweetie? Hmph." Glimmer pouted. The nerve of that pony, just dropping her off like that. She is never going to get a discount now!

@ems @creampuff lol!@featherstar_stormclan Midnightblaze took a look around the dusty place, looking at the amulets kept in jars and the charms and magic spells and paper everywhere.. In a quiet voice, Midnightblaze asked Dead Weed, "What's your most powerful dark magic item here?" Her mind was spinning, if there were an amulet to make her dark magic even more powerful than it already was...

@sandstorm99 Ooo.@creampuff@featherstar_stormclan--Dead Weed grinned. "You're a smart young mare, aren't you? Ah, well I'm afraid that I can't trust this item to just anyone. That little filly is the only pony I really trust. And remember; power is addictive and dangerous. But I'll show you anyhow." She winked at Midnightblaze, and rummaged through the shelves behind her, pulling up a locked glass box with a red velvet bottom revealing a pitch-black amulet with thirteen charms. "This does not only contain the most powerful magic in my shop, but also the darkest magic. It is most certainly not for sale though. The thirteen charms add to the dark intentions of this amulet, and I believe that it should've never been created. Wearing this amulet corrupts the wearer to extreme measures, and this amulet alone has destroyed hundreds of civilizations." Dead Weed explained, and set the box back on the shelf. "And I'll know if you steal it, girly, so don't try any funny stuff. I have a good reason for not selling it to even Shadow."Shadow picked up eight charms and trotted back over. "Nineteen bits please." Dead Weed said, and Shadow handed the money over before clasping the charms to her chain necklace of charms. "I'll come back for potions later; I've got to activate the charms." She told Dead Weed, and the unicorn nodded. "Go on then."

@ems Midnightblaze narrowed her eyes at the black amulet.. "Hm.. what if I say the fate of Ponyville rests on my shoulders? What if I tell you that only dark magic this filly can make will be able to save us from the light and goodness trying to win us over?" She gave Dead Weed an unbreakable stare. "What if I told you I had a connection to the elements of darkness?"

@sandstorm99--Dead Weed cackled, tears coming to her eyes. "Oh dear, you're so funny!" Shadow looked over and smiled at the old unicorn. "I doubt she's joking, Dead Weed." The filly rolled her eyes. Dead Weed took a deep breath and wiped to tears from her eyes. "Well Shadow," she said, "I did have the intentions to give you the amulet anyways. You'll have to pass my test first, though." She said with a devilish grin."And?" Shadow asked expectantly. "Dearie, you can't have this here pony help you." Dead Weed warned, "You'll have to protect your 'base' from my minions. They're just magical statues, but don't go underestimating them." Suddenly the shack disappeared, and the three ponies were somewhere deep in the forest. "The charms you have now are your only defense. Toodles!" She said brightly, disappearing.A red flag stood behind the filly and Midnightblaze. "Alright then..." Shadow muttered. "Let's get to it." She set up every defense charm she knew around the flag, waiting for the on-coming foes.

@ems Midnightblaze whispered. "Nice going!" She kept her eyes open. "How come no one's coming...?" SUddenly, a big crash sound appeared and Midnightblaze caught herself rearing and preparing to use her own dark magic. Then stopped. "Wait, I can't help you? Tarnations!" She grumped, then paused to yell at Dead Weed. "NICE WAY TO TORTURE ME!" Then she looked back at Shadow. "Wait a sec.. don't you-" She yelped suddenly, her eyes widening at the oncoming statues.."

@sandstorm99--"Don't I what? And stop distracting me! I have to start using my offense charms!" Shadow yelled over the crashes, and threw charm after charm at the statues, but soon she had run out of spells to use. Cursing, Shadow tossed her gaze around, and seeing a large pile of rocks, she dove to it, casting her last charm on them to make them extra hard. She started to lob the rocks at the statues, making each one crumble under the enchanted stones.

@ems Midnightblaze immediantly shut her mouth, thinking to herself. 'Why do I always do that?' then she curiously watched how SHadow handeled the statues, in case she would be attacked by evil magical enchanted statues sent by an old pony as a test to get a extremely powerful magical item. Very likely!

@sandstorm99 What's likely? O-o--Shadow had finally downed the last statue when she felt the ground shake, hearing trees tumbling to the ground behind her. Looking up behind her, she watched as a 18 foot tall stone pony lumbered over. Thinking quickly--and stupidly, Shadow remembered that she had to protect the flag. An idea came to mind, but she'd have to cast a spell, which even with her winged amulet would sap almost all of her energy. So she cantered away, leading the large statue away from the flag. The incantation formed in her mind, and she began to shout. She grew in size, almost as big as the statue now, and plucked a tree from the ground to beat the statue with.

@sandstorm99 Oh. Just saying, that sentence made no sense to me at all. XD--Shadow began to strike the stone pony repeatedly with the tree, deftly ducking blows from her foe. The stone managed to hit Shadow on the head a few times, but the filly refused to back down until the statue was reduced to rubble. She swayed, shrinking in size again before collapsing to the ground next to the flag, her breathing rough and ragged--yet she wore a smile.
