Choose Your Path Wisely

So, this is a little game for you and me. I will post an entry, for example:

Bobby the turtle slowly trodden forward. Creaking out of his shell, he gazed at the crossroads before him.

You are now presented with a choice.

A) Right

B) Left

C) forward

There is only one correct choice for each entry. You will keep guessing until the right option is chosen. Then, the story will continue. Ready? Lets go.

Sierra looked at the feral dog chasing her. She stood on the edge of a cliff, her midnight cloak flapping against her, brown hair whipping around. With her staff firmly planted on the rock, she gazed at the ocean frothing below. The wild dog howled, and sped toward her spot.

Sierra froze, adrenaline and fear stiffening her body, eyes as wide as a rabbit's.

You are now presented with a choice.

A) Jump into the water

B) Fight the dog

C) Hide using an invisibility spell

Sierra glanced back at the dog, glowing red eyes fixed on her. Sierra's heart hammered in her chest, and she gasped, then flung herself over the cliff edge.

Sierra hit the water hard, sheets flinging out all sides. Choking at the impact, Sierra was dragged deeper into the bubbles by her weighty cloak. Clutching her staff, Sierra mumbled a spell, and she rose to the surface in a large bubble. She turned around, and there behind her, the feral dog bobbed, paddling in the rough water.

You are now presented with a choice.

A) Fight the dog

B) Swim away

C) Call for help

Swim away. I think she would have called for help in the first place if there was an help, and not jump of a cliff. So I'm assuming there is no help. xP

@sharkout - Wow! Reasonable! Ok...here goes...and remember there's only one correct choice for each stop!

Sierra glanced at the drooling dog before her, and frantically paddled away. Before the dog could react, a mountain of water crashed upon it. Pitiful howls pierced the air as cruel waves dragged the feral dog down deep. Sierra didn't even look back as she placed her energy into reaching the shore.

Sierra dragged herself onto green grass, thankful to be alive. Suddenly, a wave of hot air brushed her neck. Surprised, Sierra looked up, right into curious snout of another feral dog.

I'm sorry, but that was the wrong choice. Please pick again!

Sierra planted her feet on a nearby stone. Sporting her staff, she leaned forward, ready for the impact of the dog's hulk against the wood. It never came. Surprised, Sierra looked up. An arrow protruded from the now still side of the monstrous beast. Sierra squinted up, where, surprisingly, a boy stood, brandishing a proud bow and arrow.

"You need help getting up?" He shouted, black curls shaking.

You are now presented with a choice.

A) Accept the help

B) Reject the offer

The boy's curls shook once more. "Well? Help, or not?"

Sierra muttered, then shouted, "Yes, please!"

The boy up above laughed, then immediately was distracted by another noise, probably his companion. "Sorry!" He disappeared out of Sierra's view, a little rain of pebbles disrupted by his retreating feet.

@sharkout - Hey..no prob! Back on another virtual pet game I would drive people mad because I'd give them 4 choices and they'd pick the right one when it's the only one left

Sierra looked up. Did she really trust this stranger? "No thanks, I'm fine."

The boy smiled. "Alright. Suits me fine."

Sierra hefted herself up the cliff face, and when she had dragged herself fully on the jagged rock, she whipped out her staff. Muttering a levitation spell, she rose to cliff height and neatly dropped onto the ground. The boy stood there, obviously expecting her show.

He raised a dark eyebrow. "Impressive," He mused, "But can you do better? Tell you what. Fight me. If you can knock me off this cliff, I'll consider you a possible ally."

"Or else?" Sierra crossed her arms.

"Or else death," He grinned, "Or you could run right now. Go ahead, the coast is clear."

You are now presented with a choice. (Good luck! Mwahahahaha!)

A) Fight him with magic

B) Fight him using with no magic

C) Run

D) Hide

E) Cry for help

Sierra lifted her staff with a sneer on her face. "Good luck, buster."

The boy smiled. "Hit me."

Sierra fired shots left and right, but none did so much as skim him. The boy maneuvered with incredible skill, and impossible speed. Without firing a shot, he managed to dodge every shot Sierra made.

Sierra's forehead shined with sweat. The spells were taking huge amounts of energy, and she couldn't hold on longer. Suddenly, a huge ball of pain erupted behind her eyes, and she collapsed. The boy stood over her with a smirk, "Nice try." Sierra didn't say anything as she fell asleep. For the last time.

Sorry! That's off the list! (By the way the right results are pre-planned...I'm not picking on you)

Sierra grabbed her things and ran...she didn't want to take chances. Her footfalls pounded through the ground, flipping up clouds of dust and shaking pebbles.

The boy rubbed his chin. "Coward...huh?" He lifted and fired his bow in one quick move, and his aim was true. Sierra hit the ground, and the boy nonchalantly walked away.

Well, your choices are.... (Down to three!)

A) Fight him using no magic

B) Hide

C) Cry for help

Sierra couldn't take it. "Help!" She screamed. The only thing that answered was the whistling of the wind and the distant screeches of the falcons. "Help!" She cried. No answer.

The boy grinned. "No beautiful savior with white wings and a halo? Don't worry, he'll be here soon."

The last thing Sierra saw was the boy's lifted bow.

Sierra hardened her eyes. "Yeah, you bet I'll fight you."

The boy twirled a flower between his thumb and forefinger, then let it fly away in the breeze. It dropped out of sight below into the dark chasm, complete with a rushing river at the bottom. "Fight me," He sneered.

Sierra threw her pack, her staff, and her cloak to the ground. Underneath she wore a canvas blouse and rough trousers. She revealed two daggers hidden in her boots, and yet another want shoved down her pants. "Ok," She flipped her hair to one side, "I'm ready."

It was hand to hand combat for close to an hour. Noses almost touching, they both grappled close to the cliff edge, trying to throw each other off. Finally, she flung him over the cliff edge. The boy grimaced, clinging to his life with four fingers.

"You know, you're the first one that's ever done that...you know...beat me. I guess I know how it feels to lose." He smiled. "But you always have the choice..."

You now are presented with a choice. (Finally!)

A) Save the boy

B) Leave him...he's trash

"Heh..." Sierra looked at the boy's grimace. "Fat chance." She plodded away.

"No...wait! Look, if you leave me, I have a partner that will revenge me! Really!"

Sierra walked past. "Really? Oh please. Lamest excuse ever. You've got to be kidding me."

And guess what. He wasn't kidding. Two lives were lost today, one a mere effect of the first one.

Sierra looked at his grimace, and behind his pleading look, she saw deception. "He might be a useful ally on my mission..." She muttered. Reaching down, ignoring the vertigo that shook her, his hand clasped hers and she hauled him up onto the cliff, as she watched his eyes widen at her strength with satisfaction.

"Look," She said. "I only saved you because you're useful. Meaning, I find a talent in you..." She paused, wondering if this was safe, "Bargaining."

He smiled and a husky laugh escaped between his lips. "You hesitated there." Sierra glared at him. "No, really, do you want me or not?" Sierra paused at the maniac glint in his eyes. "I could kill you if I want," The boy drawled, revealing a knife neatly tucked under his shirt.

Sierra set her jaw, if the boy was bad enough, what would his friend be like?

Sierra clenched her teeth and stared at the smiling boy. "Lemme see him."

The boy grinned, almost laughed. "By the way, my name is Ulric."

Sierra raised an eyebrow. "Well, Ulric, lemme see your little friend."

Ulric gave a mysterious laugh then sneetred, "You asked for it." He whistled into the breeze. "Lazula! You can come out now!"

Nothing happened for a moment, then, a great gust of air hit the two from behind. A monstrous black dragon with icy blue eyes lit down onto the cliff, puffing steam from its nostrils behind Ulric. Sierra's mouth hung open as Ulric grinned. "Like her?" He asked. Turning to his dragon, he commanded, "Kill her."
