Maybe this would help reduce CC scams?

Ok, this may be a little confusing at first so just ask me to elaborate a bit if you get lost, I won't bite.

I know CC is non-transferable now but one of the main problems that have come up as a result of this is how do people with no access to CC obtain freezes/gender changes/stars without the threat of being scammed?

What if there was a special type of trade feature called 'creature holding', where the creatures/EC offered and the creature to be frozen stay IN THE TC until the item is used on it by the OTHER USER, then when the creature is frozen it automatically is transferred from the TC holding page back to its owners account and the payment is automatically transferred to the person who froze the creature for you.

It would work like this:

There would be three main parts to the page when you make a lot:

1) Creature the service is for (the one you want frozen/starred)

2) The payment offered (could be a LIMITED amount of EC maybe 500,000-2,000,000ish or a LIMITED amount of creatures, to to help keep people from over charging and inflating the cost of the service)

3) What CC item you're looking to trade for (Freeze/star/etc.)

Then it would be set up like a trade but only someone who has the actual CC can offer to use the item.

So say you're looking through and see a trade with an offer you like, you have the CC and are ready to use it to freeze this creature but one problem... you can only go to the CSP and freeze one of your OWN creatures, right? Well to fix this problem, maybe this new page can be linked to the cash shop park somehow, maybe with a special individual link that only applies to the creature in the opened lot? Then when it is clicked you get an additional scroll bar next to the one with your creatures that allows you to select the creature in the lot instead! Then you would be able to freeze the creature while it's not in your possession.

Maybe it'll work? I dunno, but this way your creatures would technically never have to 'leave your cove' and everything could be automated like in the TC or CSP. So maybe there would be less scams?

I'm sorry this was so long, but if you took the time to read all of that maybe you'd like to give some pointers or help me tweak it so it would work better and make more sense?

Thanks for reading 😊 ~Whitescales

It sounds really complicated.

I think I heard something was being thought up for freezes? So we'll see.

@whitescales Hm, sounds complex, but the idea is very good! 😊 So the person freezes the creature(s) and is payed automatically?

@cotton

Thanks 😊

@april__

It is pretty complicated to set up and that's one of the draw-backs to it. I heard that too, they're all probably working on it as we speak but I thought I'd just throw this out there to try & help out. 😊

@whitescales

The staff said they are working on a way to make CSP items more available to all users, not just those who can buy CC.
They said one way would be, making the CSP items, such as freezes, something that is stored in the users inventory after purchase.
That way, people could send Freezes to other users, like travels.

But they have to make sure Freezes won't replace CC in the Trading Center. Meaning they don't want trades to turn into "For Freezes only" lots.

They are still tossing around ideas, though.
So I'd wait to see what happens with CSP items before suggesting things.
This is just my view, I'm not saying this isn't a good idea, it's just what if CSP items become easier to obtain? This would render this suggestion moot.

I'd like to wait and see what the Staff does before supporting this idea.

@chapus2009

Yep that's exactly how it is. 😊

@shelby

I'm personally worried about CSP items becoming the new 'CC' in trades. But you do have a good point, if they do make CSP items more easily obtainable then this topic would be obsolete. I wouldn't mind if that did happen though, the problem would be resolved and we wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. 😊

I just thought that every idea may help out a little bit. But I am excited to see what changes they have in store for the near future. 😊

@whitescales
That's what the staff is worried about as well.
I think what they could do is make it against the rules of the site and Trade Center to make trade lots for "freezes" only.
That would prevent people from making those lots.

I agree this is a good idea, while complex, still good.
It might be hard to do with coding and such, but it's nice to have more ideas floating around.

@shelby

That's a good idea too. It'd be a lot easier to do, they'd have to reinforce the rule but they're good at making sure that happens anyways.

The coding is the biggest thing I was wondering about when I posted this topic. I know nothing about coding and what is simple or complex regarding it. So if it is too complicated to do then I definitely can see how it wouldn't work. But I agree having more ideas around is a good thing. 😊

@whitescales

Haha yeah.
Plus they got users that help report in rule breakers.

Yes I don't know much about coding, but I'm sure it'd be hard to do this. I know a little, like very little, but I guess it's possible.

@whitescales Hmm...it sounds kind of complicated, but it's an interesting idea. Maybe it could inspire someone else to come up with a similar but simplified idea.

@shelby

Either way I'm sure they'll figure something out soon. Having less coding to do would be better time wise for a solution. 😊

@musicgurl333

I hope it does inspire someone, the more people there are thinking about it the better the end result will be, right?

@whitescales What if multiple people (with CC) freeze/star/offer a CC item on the creature?

About your step #2 (with inflating/over-charging): People have different views about how much CC is worth. There is no set trade value.

It sounds complicated and I'd rather wait for the mods to add/discuss their own ideas first. 😉
