@newlife I can't skip to the back. Lol. Then my excitement to read disappears! @iceyfira Hmm... Idk if I'd read that type of book.
syndrome • 28 May 2013 at 9:24 PM
@orderedchaosYes, I deeply love the show. So unexpected and exciting. I plan to read the books over the summer. Who's your favorite character so far?
Orderedchaos • 28 May 2013 at 9:29 PM
@pirateseaz Tyrion Lannister ❤️, followed closely by Arya Stark. I just love those two and their storylines.
syndrome • 28 May 2013 at 9:33 PM
@orderedchaosTyrion Lannister is by far my favorite as well. Arya Stark is amazing due to her vivid personality. Have you encountered the faceless man yet?~EDIT~The hound also intrigues me with his careless attitude and bloodthirst.
Orderedchaos • 28 May 2013 at 9:41 PM
@pirateseaz I've finished the series, at least all of them that are out so far. So of course I have. 😉 Its the later books, especially A Feast for Crows, that makes me like Arya so much. 😊
syndrome • 28 May 2013 at 9:45 PM
@orderedchaos I love Tyrion's wildfire idea. That one of the of the most epic things I've ever seen. I have the first two seasons of it on Blu-Ray. The extras are interesting. Arya is so clever, especially when she's staying with Lord Tywin Lannister.
iceyfira • 28 May 2013 at 11:02 PM
@klaenm Ah. It's really big, and all.. complicated. Almost a thousand pages. >>
newlife • 28 May 2013 at 11:08 PM
@klaenm You got the family tree right? That's the first thing I looked at as well. xD
karamel • 29 May 2013 at 8:55 AM
@emma1897 Try this: http://www.whatshouldireadnext.com/It depends how old you are as well. If you like fantasy/adventure, maybe try reading His Dark Materials (trilogy by Philip Pullman, first book is 'The Northern Lights')? -Am I the only one confusing the Infernal Devices (Cassandra Clare, which must be the version you guys are talking about) with Infernal Devices (Philip Reeves from the Mortal Engines Quartet)? D:

@clayosaurusrex Aha. XD For me, it definitely depends on what I'm reading for how fast I read. I tend to read textbooks and such a bit slower as I have to re-read or just let things sink in a bit more. @newlife I'll think about it! XD Okay, to anyone, there was a book series I used to read when I was about 8, cause I was in grade three. And I remember it being about a bat. Was it named Shade or just my imagination? I swear. There were books called lightwing, or sun wing or something. I read the first couple for sure... I can't remember after that. Anyway! Did anyone else read it? I remember thinking it was the coolest thing but none of my friends would read it cause they thought the books were too long. At the time though, I thought they were kind of sad. I can't rememebr why.Yeah. Okay. I'm just crazy. Maybe the books never existed. XD
cotton • 29 May 2013 at 10:46 AM
I'm definitely a book nerd, lol.I LOVE the Harry Potter series (who doesn't?), Maximum Ride, The Hunger Games series, The Lorien Legacies series, the list goes on. xD I actually read The Rise of Nine in one day haha!I'm currently reading Unwind by Neal Shusterman for a summer reading thing for school. I've read some of his other books (the Skinjacker Trilogy) and loved them. Unwind is really good so far.@april__ OMG I KNOW WHAT BOOK YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! I read it in seventh grade! Umm.. I think it's Brightwing or Lightwing.. I can't remember!EDIT: It's Silverwing!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverwing_(novel)
april__ • 29 May 2013 at 10:50 AM
I read 'The Lovely Bones' at work this morning. I'd always meant to read it. It wasn't bad, but I don't think it lived up to all the amazing things I heard about it. @cotton Yay! I'm not crazy. And I actually have af riend that hates Harry Potter. I used to adore it when I was younger, but now I've kind of moved on. I realize a lot of flaws in the writing and the books now that I'm older and over analyze absolutely everything. But it will always hav ea place in my heart. ❤️ a huge part of my childhood.
cotton • 29 May 2013 at 10:54 AM
@april__I got way too excited about finding that for some reason.I do know some people who don't really like it, but only because the books are "too long". That's one of my pet peeves. Really? It's too long? Why don't you just try and read part of it? To me, if I really love a story, I want it to be as long as possible. xDIn fact, @rileytibbles_side and I became friends because of Harry Potter. 😃
april__ • 29 May 2013 at 10:57 AM
@cotton That's pretty awesome. ^^ I love long books. ❤️ Also! I don't think I've seen anyone mention the LOTR? Or I missed it. Because I love that series too. ❤️
glados • 29 May 2013 at 11:05 AM
I enjoy classic books. 😋
karamel • 29 May 2013 at 11:31 AM
@april__ How could I forget LOTR? D: Or any of Tolkien's books, to be honest. x3My best friend absolutely /hates/ it because it's so long. I love it, though, but I haven't seen the movie. I have a serious grudge against people that make classics into movies. :I
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 10:56 AM
@iceyfira Oh my... Sounds giant.. Lol. Sounds like my book Inkdeath. Part of the Inkheart series. Very good series too.@newlife I got it.. But didn't realize I had the family tree until 3/4 of the way through the book... Lol. When I finally found it my reaction was, "AHjgbfjlbfdlsahnbfsalj!!!! OH MY GOSH!!! WAIT! When does he die? Wait who is this?!?"
iceyfira • 30 May 2013 at 11:10 AM
@klaenm Ooh, I've been wanting to read that series.
april__ • 30 May 2013 at 11:14 AM
@karamel To be honest, the LOTR movie trilogy was better than most books into movies in my opinion. Then again, I only started watching it when Iw as younger cause of my thing for Orlando Bloom. XD @klaenm Inkheart is a great series! 😃
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 12:19 PM
@iceyfira Don't let the books size get to ya. Lol. xD It's a good book. I've read it twice which is a definite way to say I liked it. I'm one of those readers that can picture it in her head to. I love trying to think of what everything would look like. I just wish they would make the movies for the other books...@april__ Loved it!Btw sorry I just now replied to you guys today. Yesterday I had to go to my Regional track meet.
iceyfira • 30 May 2013 at 12:34 PM
@klaenm I never saw the movie. D: Oh well.
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 12:40 PM
@iceyfira They made one for Inkheart. But that was it...
iceyfira • 30 May 2013 at 12:43 PM
@klaenm I know. They really should make more movies. D':
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 12:50 PM
@iceyfira I wanna see what the world looks like... With the fairies, and everything. I have a feeling with the technology today they could make an amazing movie.I take that back! I just looked up Inkspell movie. They might be making it now?!?!
april__ • 30 May 2013 at 1:05 PM
@klaenm Inkheart was a decent movie. I think it might just be my liking most of hte actors, but still. ❤️
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 1:12 PM
@april__ I loved the person they picked for Mo. Couldn't have asked for a better person. Or Meggie, the actress was perfect.
newlife • 30 May 2013 at 5:01 PM
@klaenm XD brilliant. My sister told me about it, and I was like, he doesn't die? What type of witchcraft is this!?
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 8:27 PM
@newlife Did you hear about the connecting series they are making? It still goes with all the Shadowhunter stuff, but reflects different characters. I so excited!!! 😃
newlife • 30 May 2013 at 8:59 PM
@klaenm No, I haven't heard about it! 😱Must researchhh
klaenm • 30 May 2013 at 10:56 PM
@newlife I read about it online last month! I was so excited. Screaming followed soon after finding that out.
