It seems like a good idea, but here's something that was bugging me when I thought about it.
Some people don't want their creatures to evolve, so they would hide them in a secret storage. But with this, people might find the secret storages, causing the creatures to evolve.

In that case, should there be a view mode for side accounts?...
Like, the user could choose whether he/she wants the side accounts to be visible to other users...

This whole thing is so complicated xP

Yeah that'll be good, a option to hide your creatures from visitors. The more useful tools we have in this suggestion, the better it'll become. It may seem complicated right now because we're all sharing our thoughts and ideas, but once everything falls together we'll have a better understanding of how this would run. 😊

In my point by point list in the first page, an option like that is mentioned. It is compulsory to verify all accounts infront of the EggCave staff/side account panel for reference for moderators, but it is optional to show any/all of your side accounts in front of the public, with your profile text.

What about combining the strongroom EC and travel storage? Then you wouldnt have to transfer EC/items back and forth if you wanted to put the creatures in Tim's or put some travels on creatures.

I love the fact that people actually want this to happen, I am still looking forward into seeing this here on Egg Cave in the future.

I love this to be made. I can see it to be a great hassle to create, but also to prevent a lot of trouble when made 😃

I do wonder how it will look to others; is it visible in an account if it's a side (or a main)?

Also wondering how it happens when switching accounts; are they still seperate accounts that (as now) you have to log in and out (or maybe first go to your main and then log in on your side), or can you just hop from one account to the other once logged in on either one of them?

Lol I hope I don't make it more complicated then it is 😋

Well, it shouldn't look like your profile, maybe like a cove with just a username. Maybe we can have a side account(s) list on our profile that other users can request to see?


You'll only be able to sign into your sides through your main account by using the side account(s) panel. I don't think re-entering your password (or having seperate passwords) would be necessary, but it could be a big belp when it comes to safety.

I hope it gets implemented too!

This would be useful for the main purpose of sides, which is transfers. They only really exist for storage, right? I would support this suggestion on one condition: Any existing sides should be allowed to integrate into their main account. I like the name I have on my one and only side, and I'd like to keep it.

To add to this suggestion, I would also like the option to hide a side. It would be really awesome to have a place to store eggs I am trying to immortalize without people being able to access them and potentially ruin my efforts before I have a chance to earn enough EC to try to trade for a freeze. To be clear, ideally these creatures would still be able to collect stats if I link them somewhere, but people would not be able to search for the side account that they are on or even see a profile for that side - it would be completely hidden from any kind of view here on Egg Cave, and only directly linking to specific creatures would allow people to see them at all. Think of Dragon Cave's "Hide Scroll" option, as that's essentially what I am suggesting here.
