O-O {Fairy type. W00t!)@~@{Jigglypuff and Marril have turned into fairy type??)O3O {Well, at least Sylveon kinda fits!)>-< {Some of the new pokemon look robotic or weird. I miss the old days with more natural-lookin' pokemon. *sigh*)O0O {Is that a new type of Mewtwo? *hehe* looks funny😋)^o^ {3D! Awesomeness!)^O^ {Whoopee! Fun stuff everywhere!)*All of them at once* {this is going to be AWESOME!)Do you have any thoughts or opinions about the upcoming Pokemon XY? I got pretty excited about the new fairy type. At least we know what type Sylveon is! 😊 My favorite new pokemon so far are talonflame and the two legendaries. The starters are pretty nice! 😸 However, I really missed the style they had in the first few generations ;-; What do you think?
icymuffin • 1 July 2013 at 10:51 PM
Sorta yeaaah e u eFairy type: wat. No. Why D:Sylveon: Why couldn't you be flyinggggg </3Mewtwo: Eclair forme. Heh. Pastry forme.3D: HECK YEAH~ ;DKinda not sure which version I want to buy because of how they're keeping mum on all the information :'DI'm excited to see all the changes they made on this gameAnd if they're gonna have a green themed Pokemon Z xD
eggs • 1 July 2013 at 10:58 PM
@icymuffin I kinda had a derp moment when I saw the release of fairy type xD I had a horrible premonition that soon fairy type shall dominate the pokemon world 😋 Did you notice how the new pokemon seem somewhat unfamiliar? I really miss the style of pokemon before :'(I decided between my sister that she's gonna get X and i'll get Y 😃 She just happened to like deers and I preferred birds more 😊
newlife • 1 July 2013 at 11:37 PM
@eggs Gah, I don't like the new pokemon at all.Everything kinda went bad after the release of Platinum. >A<All the legendaries are cool, it's just that the common pokemon are....Ekasjdasdlkasjd
eggs • 2 July 2013 at 12:12 AM
@newlife I share your feelings T^T I loved the pokemon from generation 1~4, but the pokemon started getting... weird xD I don't really like their names either. I think the pokemon company are starting to run out of ideas! 😋
newlife • 2 July 2013 at 12:14 AM
@eggs I know right 😱They should just leave it as it is </3 Or at least remake. I love remakes.
Zac • 2 July 2013 at 12:30 AM
Not a huge fan of Fairy type, but it's similar to when they introduced Steel so I can't really complain. Like when Magnemite was included in the Steel family. I'm confused as to why Clefairy wasn't announced as Fairy, haha.I'm planning on getting Y, but as you guys mentioned I'm really unfamiliar with all the 5th and 6th gen Pokemon.I remember people complaining online that we were getting a new game instead of a remake. But the better not touch my Ruby! It was my favorite version! (with Gold coming in a close second.)
eggs • 2 July 2013 at 1:36 AM
@zacLOL, I was also wondering why cleFAIRY wasn't fairy type xD Just like you, i've never played black and white and some of the only pokemon I knew from it was an ice-cream and some gear-pokemon-thingiemagig 😋 I'm probably going to get Y too, since I like Yveltal! I think Ruby and Sapphire might get a remake soon; it'll be pretty awesome to see the results 😸
cat • 2 July 2013 at 2:04 AM
@zac I loved Gen 3 too 😱 They had the best starters, in my opinion, and I loved a lot of the Pokemon like Flygon and Manectric ❤️ However, I love all the games c: @eggs I hope R/S/E get a remake, it would be awesome!
inkpelt • 2 July 2013 at 2:07 AM
@icymuffin @zac @eggs @newlifeI love Fletching! And Fennekin 😊 Foxes are my favorite pokemon. I'm super excited about the new pokemon game, and the new type. I'm trying not to look at the new pokemon though, so that when I get the game, I'll be totally surprised by whatever pops up 😊Definitely getting X though, because I like the deer, can't remember the name. I agree that they had a lot of flops in the newer generations, but this one seems a lot more promising. Well, based on the first few previews I saw 😊
gabrieltaft • 2 July 2013 at 2:38 AM
@eggs Yes! They are doing some really interesting things. Gameplay wise (Character Customization) and horde battles!
carter • 3 July 2013 at 1:31 PM
Fairy type seems okay, And I can see how some Pokemon are being changed to them. I think it'd be really cool if one day Eevee got evolutions of every type, but I can also see how some people wouldn't like that. I do not like the new Mewtwo at all, I don't think they should have changed him. And One of the bird ones, I think its called Talonflame? (I'm sorry but they are running out of names) Looks like a Digimon.
eggs • 4 July 2013 at 9:44 PM
@cat *high-five!* 😸@inkpelt Me too! 😃 However, I can't help looking at the pre-released pokemon out of curiousity xD The graphics and storylines are getting better and better, but poor Mr.Sugimori (the guy who makes the pokemon) is slowly running out of ideas 😋 I can't blame him though, 600 pokemon must have been a pain to make xD@gabrieltaft Yup! I can't wait! 😊@carter Same thoughts with Eevee! 😃 And for that mewtwo thing, I agree the new forme doesn't look nice. At least you have a choice to change mewtwo's formes! 😸 And I totally agree that Pokemon is running out of ideas slowly... I can't help thinking about the old pokemon styles ;-;
whitefire • 5 July 2013 at 6:04 PM
I reallyreallyreallyreallymiss the old gen Pokemon. The newer legendaries are nice, but the 5th gen games aren't my favourites. The story line hurt too much (it made me sad at the end when N left, and all that), and it was too short for me. I just felt that I had nothing left to do when I finished it, besides completing the Pokedex, which was not an appealing option to me because it takes so much time to evolve everything, unless I'm using my Action Replay. If it hadn't been for Lenora being so darn hard to beat due to my dislike of the Fighting type, I would've had the game complete in about 40 hours max. Not even two days. I mean, it was fun while I was actually playing, but the end-game and post-credits "adventure" was no fun. I mean, there were no exciting events, nothing to strive for. And the Pokemon weren't quite as nice. I mean, I really like some, especially Snivy (who I somehow recognized despite never having seen before), but they just weren't... weren't... They were just lacking something, some element that the others had. Everything just sort of started deteriorating after the Sinnoh region. As for the Fairy type, I'm not a fan. I don't want to see cool Pokemon like Pikachu lose their type and become little fairies dancing around their pretty gardens. I mean, Pikachu doesn't even look like a fairy! Clefairy I can understand, as its called the Fairy Pokemon if you look in the Pokedex, but Marill? It learns Rollout, for pity's sake! I mean, I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I really don't see some of these type changes. I'll stick to my Dragon- and Dark-types, thank you very much. And here's to a remake of Hoenn! Just please, no Fairy-types. I want to play it like it was.
eggs • 5 July 2013 at 11:55 PM
@whitefire O-O Total. agreement.
lonewolf • 6 July 2013 at 12:56 AM
@whitefireYes. Exactly.Pikachu is a fairy type now? What-? If I read that correctly?!That's just horrible if he is. I'm disappointed in the newer Pokemon games. What happened to originality? It's all too predictable for me. They should have remade Ruby and Emerald and Sapphire.
eggs • 6 July 2013 at 1:12 AM
@lonewolf Some bad news for ya: Pikachu MIGHT BE fairy type! ☹️Well, you can't blame the designer, Ken Sugimori, since he already threw out 600+ pokemon ideas! If anyone replaced him then the pokemon won't be pokemon style 😋 He's the person who created both awesome and weird/strange/terrifying pokemon 😸 Things started getting low on the nice-o-meter after diamond and pearl. *sigh* that's the same track for other classic games ;-; I also totally agree for a remake of Gen III! 😊
lonewolf • 6 July 2013 at 2:58 PM
@eggsGah D: Pikachu is forever Electricity type to me.That's true. I feel like he's trying too hard to attract the older Pokemon fans with more "cool" and "fierce" looking Pokemon. No more cute, original Pikachus. I don't know- I feel like they're trying to imitate different creatures like frogs and walruses, but leaving out more "popular" creatures. For example, wolves. I don't know of any Pokemon imitating a wolf. Mightyena is a Hyena, Ninetails is a fox, and other Pokemon look more dog/coyote-like.Yeah, that's just my opinion. I wish they would go back to Diamond & Pearl, y'know? Those were very original and great. Piplup looks like a penguin, Chimchar looks like a monkey, and Turtwig looks like a turtle.
syndrome • 6 July 2013 at 3:19 PM
@eggsI'm very pleased with a new type. Put some balance on those dragon types. Plus FAERIES, who doesn't like faeries. I'm a dude and even I like them. I do agree that it's a bit rash to change the typing of old pokemon, but sylveon and flabebe thoroughly facinate me, especially with flabebe being able to obtain different abilities from different flowers. As for their design. I see nothing very different about them, I mean sure there's a few more inanimate objects. Honedge is awesome though, A sword plus a ghost in that sword equals AWESOME.Ans sue me, but I like the new mewtwo form. At least it's tail is on its head this time instead of its crotch. I mean I know it's VERY new, floating away from pixels and all that, but I truly see personality in it, and I love it.Faerie type ~ Haters gonna hate.
whitefire • 6 July 2013 at 3:21 PM
@LoneWolfIt might be, but it might not. I saw a list of fairy-type candidates on Facebook, and Pikachu was one of them. Let's hope he doesn't get "promoted."As I said earlier, I'm all for a remake. I can't get my hands on a GameBoy, so I can't play. But if I do get a GameBoy, then you won't be seeing me for a while~
lonewolf • 6 July 2013 at 3:27 PM
@whitefireYes, let's hope. I used to have a Gameboy. Gosh, they're worth so much now. I let my younger brother use it 8 years ago or so and we were at a park- he left it on the slide. Some kid stole it. -_-I ended up getting a new one, but sold it to get a DS lite when they were popular. @eggs & @whitefireALSO: What starter type are you guys looking at to choose?I usually always end up choosing the fire type because I love it, but with Black and White I chose the water type. I think I'm going to choose the fire type this time around. Yet, it's another fox. Foxes are prevalent in Japanese culture rather than wolves. I'm hoping someday for a really great wolf-like Pokemon.
syndrome • 6 July 2013 at 3:35 PM
@whitefire@lonewolfI have a GBA, I'd like to see emerald, ruby, sapphire, and crystal remakes. It would also be cool to get an original gameboy to play yellow *_*
lonewolf • 6 July 2013 at 4:01 PM
@pirateseaz@whitefireI have this gameboy:bbsimg.ngfiles.com/15/22834000/ngbbs4ddf1f215e832.jpgGot it in a trade 5 years ago. I traded a couple Pokemon cards for it loll I'm such a nerd. I used to be into Pokemon cards years ago. I used to have Pokemon Gold with it, but I think my brother stole it and traded it to someone. 😋
whitefire • 6 July 2013 at 4:21 PM
@LoneWolfI'll probably start out with Fennikin too. I really like foxes, particularly Fennec foxes. I usually start out with a Grass type, though.I have a bunch of Pokemon cards, but I don't know where they went. :/@PirateSeazI'm just gonna do a facedesk if Fairy type is super effective against the Dark and Dragon types. XD I'm not really a fan of the new type, mostly because fairies aren't violent enough for me. But I heard that they're coming out with a Light type too, so I might go for that a bit more if it's true.As for Mewtwo's new forme, I like it a lot. I think the tail on the head is a bit weird, but it's certainly better than the other way. As far as Honedge goes, I would rather my weapons didn't think, thank you very much. XP
syndrome • 6 July 2013 at 4:24 PM
@whitefireI think it's just going to be super effective against dragon. I wonder what's super effective against faerie? Right now I'm preferring X over Y, but I'll have to wait and see the version exclusives.
whitefire • 6 July 2013 at 4:37 PM
@PirateSeazDark is probably super effective on Fairy. At least I hope it is. XP I prefer blue to red, but I think I'm going to get Y anyway. Whichever version I don't buy at the store I'll just download, I think. If there's anything like Black City/White Forest, then I'll probably go for the more nature-oriented one. I hate people, and I hate cities.Right now I'm going through my Pokemon book and looking for more type-changes. Just a hunch, but I don't think Bastiodon's gonna get to be a Fairy-type. CX
eggs • 6 July 2013 at 10:43 PM
@lonewolf @whitefire @pirateseaz I'm thinking on either getting Chespin or Fennekin 😸 The water type froggie looks a little weird xD But I better wait until I see their evolutions to decide 😋Oh, and did you guys see the new pokemon just announced, honedge? It's basically a sword xD Now they REALLY are running out of ideas!
gwaine • 7 July 2013 at 2:19 AM
I personally think the new generation is MUCH better than the last generation. Now I personally think that one was way too much forced and the story line was interesting but it turned into the entire game. Like it was less about catching pokemon and more about stopping N and stuff. I also think the Fairy-type was also a bit ridiculous, but only because they changed some pokemon(like Marril) that didn't make sense on why they changed them to it. Also, I will be picking Fennekin as I love fire-types. I am also super excited for all the fire-types introduced thus far but scared that my entire party is going to consist of fire-types now xD
syndrome • 7 July 2013 at 8:22 AM
@eggs @gwaineI will most likely choose fennekin as my starter. Though I did hear a rumor that froakie was going to be one of those weather gods that floats around on a cloud like in zelda. Only thing is that it was confirmed to be water/fighting so it probably won't be the rumor. As for marill as a fairy, that seems pretty legit to me, as there are several sub-groub for the fae people and I can see marill as fitting in.
lonewolf • 7 July 2013 at 7:26 PM
@whitefireCool. I'm going to wait and see their next stages before deciding for sure. Who knows- one could turn out really dumb looking and another could turn out awesome.@eggsAHH- a sword? Their standards are lowering that's for sure. But really... a sword? Pokemon are supposed to be creature-like, not like an inanimate object. Bleh, now I'm really wondering what XY is going to be like.
