@fluffamun would Delilah like to go with Shaun?
@jennifer

"Well nice to meet you Bryce" Camille said with a flirty glim in her eyes. "Do you have a date for the dance?" Camille asked.

Grant watched Camille and sighed. "At least she has an idea for who she wants to go with" Grant said to himself. Then he remembered Angel. 'I could just go with the beautiful Angel' Grant thought with a smile. Then he finished the rest of his food.

"Guess I'll have to get used to that," Angel said out loud. She opened the doors herself and surveyed the scene. Waiters wove elegantly through the tables, casually offering princesses food items with an exquisite smile.

Remembering Shaun, Camille and their lunch offer, Angel scanned the crowd and found them sitting with Grant. She walked up to them and politely took a seat and said hi. She glanced at Grant. No offer to push her chair in? Good.

She eyed the variety of foods. "Hm... the salmon looks good. I'm thirsty!"

At the precise moment Angel was about to snatch a glass of lemonade off a passing waiter's tray, Ms. Graythorne appeared in the room and gave an announcement.

She slowly took a sip of lemonade through the pink straw while thinking. Angel wasn't the best dancer so the teacher might do her good but who would she go with as a date? Camille had already ran off to flirt with a bodyguard when she heard the news. Maybe Angel could do the same. Her eyes landed on Grant. Maybe...

Vanessa laughed. "Yea, not for the dancing." She giggled. Then she turned to the bodyguards. "Do you guys mind signing up? I mean... We are you princess!" She laughed. "Oh, princesses." Suddenly she was disturbed by Ms. Graythore.

She heard Ms. Graythore say something about prom. "Prom?" She looked at her bodyguard Jace. "What's prom?"

---

Charles saw his princess walk back towards him. "How did it go? Madam." He smiled. As much of how annoying she was, she was a true beauty. Suddenly, an announcement about prom ran through their ears. "Madam! Who are you going to take to prom?" He asked, looking away and praying it would be him.

"Bodyguard. It went well. And I know he digs me." She smiled, making her cheeks go red.

'Oh no.' Charles thought, 'that has never happened before and that means she isn't appealing to Jace!' Charles frowned. Whatever did he do wrong to get this princess.

Sasha said, "I bet he loves me. He's just to shy. And you know what? I'm going to make him ask me to the prom." She then continued thinking for a plan.

Charles ran through the canteen when he suddenly stopped at where Jace was. "Listen. I'm Sasha (the annoying one's) bodyguard." Charles nodded, "and you MUST love her. Believe me. Everything is going to go wrong of you don't ask her to prom. You can go the easy way, which is that, or you can go the hard way. Ask your true love but go on a challenge. Your choice. I'm warning you." Charles then ran away to keep his princess busy.

Jace scoffed at the notion of dancing. "I am already quite the dancer," he said, smirking. But still, it was the truth. Jace could dance. The princesses could believe what they will.

"There's no need for me to relearn what I already know," Jace said slowly, eyeing the sheet. "But don't worry, Princess. I'm still your bodyguard." Jace grinned boyishly at Vanessa, then grabbed the pen and wrote down his name in the stark, spiked, and messy handwriting of a boy.

"The deed is done," Jace said, mock seriously, then proceeded to wipe his hands together, as if washing his hands of the act.

The bodyguard almost laughed when his subject asked about prom. Who didn't know what a prom was? Even if you went to the tiniest, poorest school in the world, they would at least have a dance of some sort, albeit small. Vanessa's naiveness surprised the bodyguard.

"Prom, dear princess," Jace said, smiling a genuine smile this time. "Is a time of much stress for girls. It involves getting asked out by a guy, picking a dress, playing with makeup, and fixing up your hair. Us guys have it easy- well, except for the asking the girl out part. I have no problem in that department, though."

Jace laughed. "And then, Princess, it gets better. You go together to a dance, where you dance with the guy that you accept. Unless you're in some scandalous relationship and end up ditching your original guy for another. It's happened."

The bodyguard grinned, sadistically this time, as if he was remembering that time. And it was fun, too, going behind everyone's backs like it was some covert operation only they were in on.

Jace decided to just continue. "After you dance and stuff, most couples will usually sneak away, have some fun." Jace smirked.

"Then there's the after party, away from the teachers and adults, and where all the real action happens. Spiked punches, crazy people, loud music..." Jace sighed. "But then again, this is a posh school- their idea for prom might be way different."

Jace perked up, as if an idea had just come to him. "Hey, Princess. Want to come with me to the prom? I'll make sure you have a good time."

Suddenly, Sasha's bodyguard was there, warning Jace of impeding doom if he didn't love Sasha. This was getting way too cheesy for his tastes. I mean, it was obvious the guy had a huge crush on her. Why didn't he just ask her to the prom himself then and be a man? Besides, Jace didn't even love anyone in that way. Yet. Or ever. In fact, he had asked Vanessa out on a whim.

"Sorry, Sasha's bodyguard!" Jace called after his retreating form. "I just asked Princess to the prom! Ten seconds too late, man!"

"Well, I kind of just heard about it, so no." Bryce quipped, brushing a piece of messy hair from his face. "But I wouldn't mind having one." he said, a small smile forming on his lips.

--

Delilah laughed slightly at Vanessa's naivety. She decided not to answer, but gazed around at the bodyguards talking with their princesses. She looked over at Sasha and Charles talking to Jace a foot or so away. "Hmmm, why not?" Delilah asked, and walked over to him after Charles had finished.

"Ah, would you like to go to the dance with me? I understand if you wouldn't." Delilah said, her face going as red as a tomato. She was mostly doing it to make Sasha mad, but she had to admit, Jace was kind of cute.

@cutebirdy79 - I'd actually rather prefer one date so that Delilah is still available, it's not as fun to roleplay with just one person.

Jace frowned, leaning back into his chair. Sure, having all these girls ask him was expected. It was fun. Jace enjoyed it. But somehow, he had expected more from Delilah. She didn't seem like that kind of princess. That was more of Sasha's department.

Girls. Jace sighed. They were weird. And strange, albeit the tool for good times. And you could never go expecting the expected- no, sometimes the athletic girl might turn up with an overdose of makeup, or the goth girl burst into tears. Jace had seen it all.

Now that he had been asked once already, Jace scowled. It all depended on Vanessa's answer now. If she turned him down, Jace would most certainly accept on a whim, just like how he had asked the girl. It really didn't matter for him. Jace didn't like anyone that way, strangely. There was no one he knew that he wanted to live the rest of his life with. No one he wanted to... just be with. No, he wanted to be with Vanessa because of the challenge. He wanted Sasha because of her social status. He wanted...

Something. Jace wanted something else. Something besides some possession, or a handful of jewels.

And he had no idea how to get that. Or who to get it from.

"Sorry, Delilah," Jace said, smirking. "I just asked Princess. Yet again, you're ten seconds too late."

"Buut," Jace said, thinking. "If Princess turns me down, I'll take you up on that offer."

Grant finished his food and looked at Angel. She was looking at him. "What is it Miss Angel" Grant said with a smile.

Shaun watched Camille but got bored and looked at Grant and Angel. 'Eww there probably going to start flirting or something like that' Shaun thought so he got up and moved to an empty table where he could still watch Camille.

Camille smiled and moved to the seat beside Bryce. "Well Bryce do you have anyone in mind that you would like to take? Please don't say another girl because I would be totally jealous" Camille joked in a flirty way.

"Of course.Though, it would be a pleasure to attend with you." Delilah said with an expressionless face, and curtsied blandly. She sighed and sat back down.

"I don't understand guys." Delilah said, resting her head on Ryo's shoulder. She quickly sat up, realizing her mistake.

"Ah, sorry Ryo. I guess I'm going to have to go with you, huh?" Delilah sighed and looked into her cup of cider. "Nah. You're probably going to find someone beautiful and smart and funny and everything I'm not and I'll be stuck with someone like him." Delilah jabbed her finger in the direction of a scrawny boy picking at his teeth.

--

Bryce laughed quietly. "Not particularly." he said simply and took a bite of asparagus. He wouldn't give anything away. "Though I wouldn't mind going with you." Bryce said, lifting up her chin to make her look in his eyes.

"Princess."

@fluffamun What about Delilah ans Charles?? Yay!!😊 @marinalily @cutebirdy79 @kurochi-akuma @starperson101
--

Charles stopped in the middle of his path, and turned around. "Jace.... Please!" He frowned, knowing it was no luck. So he continued walking like he didn't do anything. He stared at Sasha. "Uh... Wanna go to the prom with me? Madam?" He smiled, feeling pressure.

"No!" Sasha cried. "Ugh. I've got to save myself for Jace." She grinned, putting a bit more make up then usual."Jace wants me, so I say yes." Sasha said, feeling her bag for a lipstick. "And I give him what I want." She grinned, putting on a new coat of dark red lipstick.

Sasha took a turn and asked Charles what he thought. "First time. Major heartbreak." He thought, as he couldn't help feeling a little bit of mischievous actions.

Sasha walked over to Jace, where he was slouching on his chair. "Hey there," she said in a glamorous voice, winking. "So... Anything you want to say to me?" She grinned, waiting for the 'happy' moment.

----

Vanessa looked at Jace understandingly. "Ohhh.... Prom. Pth. Duh. I know prom." She laughed. "Ok I don't." She giggled. Suddenly, she heard her bodyguard ask something.

"Hey Princess. Wanna come with me to prom?" Jace suddenly asked.

"Sure!" She giggled. "I guess that's a great idea." She flashed a smile. "But a few questions. 1. Umm why didn't you pick another girl? I mean so much more prettier than me. 2. Will you explain to me what make-up is? And 3. Help me pick a dress.... Never wore one before." Maybe she said that a bit too loud. All the girls in the canteen looked at her surprised. "Hah.." She laughed embarassly.

"So? Is that okay with you?" She smiled. "I really want to go with you, but as you know... I'm a beginner." She laughed at her sentence.

Suddenly, the girl from before stepped in.
"Anything you want to say to me?" The girl said to Jace. Vanessa looked at Jace. "Why are you here? Girl who pushed me on the floor." Vanessa said.

"Oh, so you are the girl who never wore a dress... Eh?" Sasha laughed. "And why are you saying all that to MY date to prom?" She grabbed Jace by the hand and kissed his cheek.

Vanessa frowned.

Whoa, it's like a "I ❤ī¸ Jace" party over here. LOL
--

"No luck?" Ryo asked Delilah as she walked back from asking Jace out. She slumped in her chair, looking a bit depressed about the whole situation, as if she thought she wouldn't get a date for the prom at all. Her head fell to the side and landed on his shoulder and she muttered a, "I don't understand guys."

He tensed up a bit. Why should he do? Should he comfort? Stay there? He didn't know. Before he had to think of what to do in this type of scenario, she lifted her head off him and apologized for her mistake. He smiled, "No, no! It's alright! You were just feeling down, I understand!"

He took a sip of his ice water and turned towards her. "Listen," He started, "Don't throw yourself over at him. You deserve much, MUCH better, trust me. You're a very pretty girl and are very kind too, so getting a date to the prom should be no problem for you. You just have to find the right person."

After he finished his little motivation speech, he was now thinking about how he should take his own advice and go find a date before he was stuck with someone he didn't want to be with.

A part of him wish Delilah could just go with him. He knew her the best and felt the most comfortable around her, but he knew not to be selfish and decided not to speak up. 'She would probably dread it anyways.' He thought.
--

Zack picked up some of the single white cobblestones in his arms and placed them in a stacked pile in the middle of the group of trees. "Here, you can sit here while I make a 'desk' for you to write on." He said to Cynthia, going over to grab another huge armful of cobblestones.

He placed them in front of the other pile, this time laying them a little more flatly than the first, creating a flat surface for her to write on.

But something seemed off about this.

He looked towards the school, straining to hear something from it, but there was nothing. Silence.

"That's weird, usually I can hear the bell for next class by now." He mumbled to himself.

He shrugged it off though. He probably missed it while talking to Cynthia a few moments earlier. They were pretty late with getting here.

"So, all set? All good? Anything else you need?" He asked Cynthia, walking back over to her makeshift seat and desk out of cobble stones.

@kurochi-akuma @starperson101 @tralala22 @fluffamun @Jennifer
I can imagine Jace laughing his head off right now.

Jace smirked. So he got to pick out her dress. And makeup. He was in charge of this. Before, when he went with girls to a dance, they insisted on dressing him up like their own living Ken doll. Now, he guessed, was just a strange deliverance of karma.

It wasn't like his sense of fashion was corrupt- no, Jace just needed a dress store and a cosmetics counter. A weird kind of plus to dating all kinds of girls- your clothing and makeup skills become more prominent. Especially when you listen to them rant or gush excitedly about the newest Lancome product or the "in" colour of stilettos.

Jace was pretty sure that if his fashion knowledge came to light, his reputation would suffer a beating. Or maybe girls would find that charming. He never knew.

"So many questions, Princess," Jace said, smiling a cocky smile. "But have no fear, I'll answer them all for you."

"First off, why wouldn't I ask you? You're still and always will be my first priority, Princess," Jace smirked. "It's my job."

"Makeup," Jace said, now appraising the girl's face, "is a bunch of different products that enhance your face. There's mascara for your eyelashes, blush for your cheeks," Jace reached out and trailed a finger down Vanessa's cheek, then withdrew the hand, scrutinizing it. "And lots of other stuff. Don't worry about any of that, though. All I need is for you to be my Barbie," Jace smirked, thinking of how this was his second plastic-toy analogy in a minute. "I'll take care of it. All you need to do is dance and behave as a princess should."

Sasha once again sashayed to the table. What did she want? What was Jace supposed to say to her? Never mind that, she now left a fat, red lipstick mark on his cheek. Just when Jace tried to date a different kind of girl, the type he usually goes for starts throwing herself at him. It was a cruel world.

"What?" Jace asked, raising an eyebrow. "Am I supposed to be saying something?"

Wait. "Prom date?" Jace sputtered. "Yours? When did this happen? Who asked me? Did I ask you?" Jace groaned. "Sorry, Sasha. I'm going with Princess to the prom. You should go with your bodyguard," Jace lowered his voice to a mock whisper. "I think he has a crush on you."

------

Cynthia smiled at her bodyguard. "Yeah, I'm good," she said. "Thanks. Although sitting on the grass would've been just fine." Cynthia laughed.

Placing her bag on the grass beside her, Cynthia placed her papers down and picked up the fancy fountain pen that made her parents happy when she used it.

"Dearest Mother and Father," she wrote, then glanced up. "Hey, Zack," she said. "You probably don't want to be here, go... well, I don't even know what you do when you skip." Cynthia propped her head in a fist, appraising the bodyguard from her seat. "But feel free to jet. Or stay. Just don't forget to come back if you leave or I'll get lost trying to get myself back."

Done with her statement and satisfied she had granted her bodyguard some freedom, Cynthia hunkered down and began to write, in her loose, curving script.

"School is going well, I think I may have made one or two friends. Considering this is my first day, I think that I did quite well." Cynthia pondered that. Did she do well? Was skipping considered well? Probably not, but they didn't need to know that.

"My bodyguard is not some boy with loose morals, as you were so worried about that. I can assure you that he does his job quite well." Cynthia sighed, letting her pen rest. Writing with formality took effort. "I am also not lacking in etiquette, as you were also concerned about. In fact, I find that many of the other princesses here are quite beneath me." Cynthia frowned, realizing how uptight that sounded. Her parents would love it.

"I was told I was to have another princess sharing my dorm, but I have yet to meet her." Cynthia indeed was curious about who was supposed to be sharing a room with her. Was she nice? Mean? Would she snore?

"Classes are alright, I suppose. They are much like the ones that I received at home. Do not stress yourself over my education." Well, at least the one class Cynthia actually went to. She almost snorted at the earlier statement.

"I hope you and my lovely brothers-" Cynthia couldn't hold back a small smile, "are doing well. I hope you are doing well with them as well, without me there to (somewhat) hold them in line."

"Your loving daughter, Cynthia"

Satisfied that she had made no error, Cynthia folded that paper, setting it aside. She was pretty happy with the outcome of that letter- it befit what her parents expected from her.

Now Cynthia could pen five letters in whatever way she wanted to.

@cutebirdy79 ...maybe we should linger 'til Grant gets asked by someone else and Angel is, like, "Nyaaaa~ TT^TT I wanted Grant!" and she's all jel. XD

Romace partay!

Slurping down the last of her lemonade, Angel thought better of it. Going to a only once in a while event with someone you get to see everyday doesn't seem all that worthwhile. Besides, Grant was handsome enough to get someone of his own. She could leave him alone.

Angel got up and walked to a nearby table with a bodyguard who talking his princess /Ryo/. All the other girls were surrounding various boys like bees with honey. Quite frankly, it disturbed her.

"If you're need of a date, you should just ask someone. Or are you the other kind who sit back and count on their looks to attract girls?" Angel laughed, trying to stir up a conversation.

@jennifer okay sounds good but who would ask him? you want me to make Camille do it?
@fluffamun

Camille blushed when Bryce put his hand on her chin but it was a minor blush. She was looking his eyes now. 'Wow his eyes are amazing' Camille thought. "Well you should know that I would love to go with you but I have been asked by someone else. I haven't given them an answer yet so maybe you can make me choose you over him" Camille challenged Bryce. Then she took Bryce's hand off of her chin and kissed his hand. "I best be going unless you want me to stay" Camille said as she stood up from her chair.

"I think I'm a little bit of both." Ryo laughed back, looking up at the other princess now by his side. "But I haven't seen anyone free to ask yet."

He paused for a moment, before standing up from his seat and gathering up his dishes on the table. He stacked his and Delilah's finished dishes on top of one another, creating a mini-tower, to which he picked up and went to discard in the proper area. Before he left, he looked at Angel and asked, "Do you have anyone to go with to the prom?"

He didn't want to make Delilah sad for asking, so he tried to keep it brief. After all, he would be a huge jerk if he went and asked out another princess, while she still had no one to go with.
--

Zack grinned, "Alright then, have fun letter writing. If you need any help, just call."

He went over to one of the trees and took a seat in the tall grass next to it. Normally he would take a nap after lunch, but somehow that felt awkward when he should be protecting his princess. Still, it wasn't like anyone could attack her from here.

So with that in his mind, he lay back on the grass and closed his tired eyes. His one arm hung lifelessly over his stomach, while the other draped over his eyes to block out any light that wasn't blocked by the tree's leaves. He let out one final sigh, before going silent.

He didn't sleep at first, in fact, he didn't recall even sleeping at all as many minutes passed by. The warm air and occasional cool breeze was calming, one of the reasons why he enjoyed coming out here to take naps. No one would bother him because no one really would think to look here, so it was great if you just wanted to get away from being proper and royal.

He felt himself start to drift into some light sleep. He just hoped he wouldn't snore in front of Cynthia if he did.

"I will," Cynthia said, waving Zack off.

Now that she was done with writing to her parents, Cynthia could now have fun with the rest of her letters to her brothers. She had what she thought to be a very good relationship with all of them, and Cynthia knew exactly how to make each one pleased, or perhaps even laugh.

"For Ace, brother to us all,"
"Dearest brother and most amazing prince James,"
"For my best friend, Anden,"
"I still think cousin Amelia has a crush on you, Oliver."
"I've always hated you, Peirce. And I'm very serious this time."
"You'd make fast friends with plenty of the guys here, not to mention the princesses."
"I hope you aren't trying to war with each other now that I'm gone."
"Still giving mother and father a hard time about that horse?"
"You should know by now that doing such things is hilarious with us, but that the nobles find it terribly annoying."

"With love, Cynthia."

Sighing, Cynthia finished signing the last of her letters. Really, time had flown by, and the princess was quite unsure about what time it was. Putting her letters safely into her folder and putting her pen into its spot for next time, Cynthia stuffed her folder into her bag, getting ready to leave.

But she was missing someone. Where was Zack? After a quick glance around the area, Cynthia found her bodyguard beside a tree, taking a nap and snoring gently.

Stifling a giggle, Cynthia walked towards the young man. "Hey, Zack," she said quietly, shaking his shoulder gently. "I'm finished. Do you want me to leave you be? I'm sure I can occupy myself for a while longer."

Unfortunately for Zack, his nap didn't last very long. He felt a hand shake his right shoulder gently, causing his mid-snore to catch in the back of his throat. He coughed a bit, trying to clear his throat and while doing so removed his left arm from over his eyes. The sunlight stung his grey eyes at first, causing him to squint them away from the harsh sun.

"Hmm?" He groaned, rolling his head over to look at the person who shook him.

Sure enough, it was Cynthia. She was standing over him, halfway bending over so her arms could reach his shoulder and smiling as if holding back a laugh.

"Done already?" He yawned, looking up into her eyes lazily.

He arched his back and stretched out both of his arms over his head, letting out another large yawn, before laying still on the ground once more.

"That's alright. We should probably head to next class anyways, unless you want to stay out here some more?" He said now more awake, leaving the question at the end to linger in the air between them.

My internet died. /kicks router/

Cynthia laughed at the antics of her bodyguard just waking up. So much for the stereotype of being tough and scary as a bodyguard. Every man to himself, the princess supposed.

"Yep, I'm done!" She said cheerfully, patting her bag where she had stored the letters fondly, while her bodyguard yawned. Well, it was better to be yawning there than in class.

Cynthia looked down upon her bodyguard, frowning a bit. "I was thinking we should leave soon, because I still need to drop these off somewhere to get delivered."

The princess cocked her head. "There is somewhere I can drop these off at, right? I'd like that done soon, because I'm not sure how many days it'll be before they reach home."

"But," Cynthia amended. "I'm sure it won't make a difference if they're dropped off later today, so it doesn't really matter to me. You, on the other hand," Cynthia paused to laugh a bit. "You look like you needed that nap. Like I said, I don't mind furthering our tardiness."

Completely understand, my internet sucks too. :c

Rawr! Youtube is freezing and I can't listen to my music. ;A;
--

Zack sat up from his laying position on the ground, pushing himself up the rest of the way with the balls of his feet so that he was now standing. He laughed at her comment of needing the nap. "I didn't really need it. Actually, I didn't intend to fall asleep on you, but of course with the nice weather and all, it was just too good to resist." He grinned, running a hand through his messy dirty blonde hair.

"I hear most of the students send their letters to the local post office just down the road on the weekends, so if you don't mind waiting till next week...we can go looking for the place together. To be honest, I never been there, so I don't really know the way." He informed her, yawning one final time and dropping his hand to his side.

"But I agree, we should probably head back to the school. I haven't been hearing the class bells for a while, which means that some event is happening at the school. I'm," He paused, "...not exactly sure what type of event, but I have a feeling we'll be hearing about it soon."

He began to walk out of their hiding spot under the trees and into the flower garden, leading Cynthia along with him. This time he decided to spark up a conversation with her on the way. Who knows? Maybe it'll pass the time.

"So Cyn, I can call you that right? Why did your parents send you to this school? You seem alright to me." He smiled, "Not hiding any bad girl habits from me, are you?"

He felt like he was prying, but he was kind of curious. Besides, she said that he could drop the formalities when around her, so why not? It wasn't like he was in the school yet and had to watch out for the teachers who passed by in the hallways.

Out here, in this place, both of them could be themselves, without hiding behind the nice and proper sides to them. It felt good.

Guys!!!! Charles and Sasha have no one to go with!!!!☚ī¸
--

Sasha let go of Jace's hand angrily. "You are not going to the prom with ME?" She laughed, "And you are going with that smudge over there?" She pointed at Vanessa with her 100$ manicured finger. She put her hand on Jace's finger. "I live your jokes. Come on let's get you a perfect suit. She smiled, showing her perfectly white teeth.

Dragging Jace to a private place, she looked at Jace. "Listen. You don't want to go with that rag over there." She looked at Vanessa trying to find Jace. "You want to go with me. Tomorrow, you tell me your choice.
-

Charles looked at Jace coming out of the private place that wasn't so private. He flashed him a 'I told you so' look.

--

Vanessa giggled. "Thanks so much!" She laughed, "Then it won't be a problem. So when do we start?" She said, taking another bit of her salad. She turned to Delilah and Ryo. "You guys ok?" She asked, sitting down next to Delilah and looking at Ryo in a confused way.

Suddenly, Jace got grabbed by Sasha. "Uh... Jace! I thought you were going with me?" She shouted at Jace, hoping he would reply. Vanessa ran after him, but soon they disappeared, and all she could do was just to wait there, like waiting for a tractor. Well of course she stayed where she was, waiting for Jace like an owner waiting for its pet. Suddenly when Jace came out, she ran to him and said, "are you ok? You seem frightened...?"

Charles and Sasha could go together..?

"Aww, all the way next week?" Cynthia said in dismay, glancing at her bag with a small frown. Now that she had been hit with that, Cynthia realized that there really wasn't a lot of ways to be with her family anymore.

As the reality of that set in, a small part of the princess deflated at the thought. When Cynthia had first come here, it was all fun and games. New people, new place, it was all an adventure. But now that she had time to think about it, Cynthia never really had a passing thought this weighted about her family until now.

What were they doing?
Did they miss her?
Was she missing out on their latest adventure for the first time?
Did he get a new girlfriend?
Did he propose yet?

Cynthia knew there was no way she could answer the questions- yet alone quell the feeling of homesickness. Maybe writing letters wasn't such a bright idea. Pushing the feeling into a dark corner of her head before she dwelled on it any longer, Cynthia quickly masked any expression she might've been showing on her face. And she was quite good at that too, especially when it came to hiding the expression of boredom.

Following Zack back towards the school, Cynthia was relieved when he started talking.

"Yes, you may call me Cyn," the princess in question said with a small smile. "I thought we had already established that."

At the mention of being sent here, Cynthia took a few seconds to think, and merely walked behind her bodyguard while doing so, the closest sound being the sound of their footfalls on the ground.

"I was sent here because..." Cynthia thought about it some more. "A lot of reasons, I guess. Apparently, according to my governess, my brothers were 'spoiling', 'influencing', and 'doting' on me. And 'in the worst way fathomable'. Which wasn't that great, in my case." Cynthia laughed, shaking her head.

"My parents were also worried about my 'lack of feminine influence'," Cynthia said, making air quotes around the four words. "Although you and I have discussed that I had already taken that matter into my own hands years ago. They wouldn't have any of it."

"Having my notorious reputation of never getting to class on time-" Cynthia grinned. "Or ever, also did not help my case. There was also the fact that I played most sports, save for the ones my brothers deemed too 'manly'."

Cynthia sighed. "Like I said, a lot of reasons."

------

Jace smiled back at Vanessa, propping his head in his hands and watching the girl. She seemed genuinely excited, and not just excuted because he was there, or because he was going with her, or because he was doing... something. She was just excited, and that was that.

"It's no problem for me either, Princess," Jace said, giving a lopsided smile. "If you have time after classes, we can start looking for all the items you'll need," Jace gave the girl a lazy once-over. "Although I don't know if one day will just be enough. We can start with the dress, though, which happens to be the hardest part."

And then there was Sasha. Jace sighed. Her likeable meter had just dropped. A few metres. Wouldn't she just... give up? Jace had already pointed her in the right direction. But noooo.

"I'm not joking," Jace said slowly. "And I'd prefer it if-"

What was up with that? Now he was being dragged to some private place. Again, cheesy, cheesy, cheesy. Normally, Jace would love it. Normally. Now, he was the one who had done the asking. And he intended not to back out on his date the first time he had asked for one.

"Don't worry, Princess!" Jace called, twisting backwards and mock saluting with the hand that wasn't in a vice-grip by Sasha's manicured hand. "My first priority has always been you! It's my job!" Jace smirked. He liked that line. It had.. many ways to be interpreted. It was confusing, and even he didn't know exactly what he had meant when he had said that.

Of course, it was Jace's job. But was it something else, too? He really didn't know.

And this was a bad time to be thinking about his love life.
A very bad time.

"You," Jace said, slowly and easily. "Can't tell me what to do. I like my freedom. And now that you've ever so politely imposed on it, who exactly do you think I'll go with?"

Not her, of course. What a cat. Turning his back from the princess and walking out, Jace caught Charles' "I told you so look". Jace snarled, his lip curled. He was tired of this.

"If you really like her so much," Jace said, calling across the dining hall so that many could hear. "You can have her! Ask her out! Try harder! Do something! Or don't and take someone else to the prom! It's. Not. My. Business." Jace gritted out.

Satisfied with that retort as well, Jace smirked and coolly turned his back on another person, finding himself face-to-face with his princess.

"No," Jace said, his lip curling once more. "I'm not okay. And I'm not frightened. Just..." Jace groaned running a hand through his hair. "It's not always fun and games."

Somehow I feel like either Zack or Grant will end up with Sasha and I dunno about Grant, but if Zack has to take her...that will just be a really, REALLY baaaad train wreck. Seriously. lol

*cough* Since Charles and Delilah may be going to the prom together... *cough*
--

Zack walked back inside the school and, once again, held the door open for Cynthia on the way in. He wasn't too surprised by her answer. So she wasn't overly horrible behavior-wise, but she still didn't meet the princess criteria her parents expected of her. "Yea, this school isn't really the average place you go to just to study your academics. Usually everyone gets sent here for bad behavior or because they're just not up to par with their family's expectations." He replied, closing the door behind them both.

He walked down the halls side-by-side with Cynthia so they could have a better conversation, without having any of the students or teachers overhear. He stuck his hands in his pockets as he walked.

"So I guess that means you want to hear how I got here, right?" He chuckled, "It's only fair. But...mine isn't as nice as yours."

He paused, thinking about what to tell and how to tell it. He took in account how he only knew her for one day and tried to keep details to a minimum.

"I wasn't the richest kid in the neighborhood. My parents had to work a lot to support me and my younger brother. I was stuck home babysitting most of the time, even during my summer break. I don't know if it was because of the stress of it all or financial problems, but my parents liked to argue and fight." He shrugged, taking a turn down a hallway, "It caused me to...get into a lot of trouble. I got bad grades and fought with the bullies almost everyday. Overtime, I became angry with my life. I fought with my parents and even fought with my younger brother at times."

He stopped for a few moments, walking quietly before continuing the story.

"So, as life has it, a few bad things happen here and there and next thing you know your world gets turned upside down. My parents sent me here because they couldn't take me anymore. They want me to shape up into a better human being. And well, here I am." He said finally, cutting the end short.

There were many more details, but it wasn't like she needed to know that, especially since he barely knew her. He only hoped what little info he did tell her, wouldn't cause her to fear him or anything.

@kurochi-akuma
I have no idea who's going with who anymore except for Jace and Vanessa. |D All this confusion and romance and Jace being Jace. xDD

"'Family', meaning your parents," Cynthia laughed, going through the door that was graciously being held open for her, and a habitual fake "Thank you!" escaped her mouth before she could think about it. It was just drilled into her mind. Cynthia mentally slapped herself for being such a stiff.

Smiling lightly as she noticed her bodyguard making an effort to keep up conversation and stay beside her instead of in front of behind her, Cynthia listened to his story, her smile slowly fading away as she did so.

What a poor guy. He hadn't lived the posh life she had been living, in which everything was a choice, everything was handed to her on a silver platter.

He wasn't like her. No, Cynthia was just a whiny princess with too much time on her hands and too many siblings.

And there was another thing that was nagging her too. Should she be afraid of him now that she knew who or what he could be, or maybe even what he was like? Cynthia didn't know. But then again, she didn't think he would try to hurt her either, what with his going home on the line. The princess was truly unsure now.

Nevertheless, a large part of Cynthia's mixed feelings consisted of pity. She wouldn't say that aloud, though, for she knew firsthand that nobody liked being the object of such feelings. But Cynthia still couldn't stop herself from feeling that way, thinking of her own, wonderful life.

"Geez," Cynthia said quietly. "That's rough. I must seem like such a little kid to you, sorry."

@marinalily

Maybe I should make a post to show who is going with who in the discussion thread. lol

Random Note: My dog is sleeping on my arm. It is difficult to type like this. lol
--

Zack caught sight of the sad look on Cynthia's face. 'Uh oh, didn't mean for that to happen.' He thought, quickly thinking of a way to fix it.

"Hey look, don't worry about it, alright?" He said, stopping their walk in the middle of the hall and turning to face her.

"I told you it so you would know where I come from. I'm not some prince-charming guy most girls are looking for. I'm not this royal bodyguard who trained hard to get here. I'm-" He paused, sighing. He was really starting to go off on a tangent wasn't he? "Just...me."

After finishing those last few words, he gave her a wide, genuine smile, showing that there was nothing more to be sad about. There was no reason to. It wasn't her fault she lived the grand posh life and he didn't, so why was she feeling guilty? It didn't matter, it was time to move on to a different topic. This one was getting depressing.

"Enough about that, okay?" He said, continuing to smile, "Tell me about your brothers! Five, eh? How do you keep track of that many?" He asked, adding a small laugh at the end of his comment.

He began to walk down the halls again, still staying by his princess's side. They entered the empty Study Hall, which still looked mighty grand and large like before. It appeared as if no one left the Dining Room yet, since there was faint talking that could be heard. 'That's odd...' He thought.

Donne sighed as he walked up to the academy. He hadn't meant to be late, but he had been. His dog had gotten stuck in the backyard tree, and the rest of his family didn't like climbing trees. As he approached the large building, he glanced around. Others may have been awed by the sight, he didn't know, but he wasn't. He'd seen the place every weekend, even poked in during a tour. He knew where everything was.
Small sounds of chatter came to his ears as he got closer. It normally was class time, so why were there so many people out and about? Maybe there was some event. Probably, it was the first day, after all. That was good, he wouldn't be late to class then, and might have time to get set up in his dorm.
He saw who was probably a princess and her bodyguard. Maybe they knew what event was happening. Maybe they didn't. Either way, he might as well get acquainted.
"Do you know what's happening?"

@kurochi-akuma Can Sasha go with Zack? Charles with Delilah? @fluffamun
@marinalily

--

Charles thought about the last thing Jace said to him. "Ask her out. Ask her out. " he kept chanting in his head. "Really? I will do that?" He frowned. He was just to frightened. As always. Finally, he had the nerve. He walked up to Sasha's annoyed face, and said, "Will you go to prom with me?" His heart was pumping over and over again.

"No! Why?" Sasha snatched, "Not with you!"

Charles bit his lip. Exactly what he thought would happen. That is always a disappointment.

He walked about, when he saw an amazingly beautiful girl. (Delilah) He walked over to her and put a smile on his face. "Hi. I'm Charles," he said, biting his lip and hoping it would go well.

--

Sasha was heart-broken. How could he not want me? She would always think. Knowing it will never happen, she snatched a look at Vanessa, making Vanessa frown. She walked around when she accidentally bumped into a Handsomish boy. Not as handsome as Jace, but still handsome. (Zack) She said sorry for the first time, and said hi. "I'm Sasha."

--

Vanessa frowned. "Not okay? What did she do?" She lookd at Jace. She then frowned again. "If I cause you all this trouble, why don't you go to prom with someone else." She looked down at her scrubby sport shoes. "I'm just a girl who loves sports and all sorts. Maybe I'm no match for you." She walked away, leaving her bodyguard on awe.

@tralala22 @kurochi-akuma @meixiaotian
.... and we all forget about Cyn. xD
And Kuro, we've got two people bumping into us. /rolls up sleeves/

Cynthia watched as Zack tried to cheer her up, a slight smile on her face as she realized that he at least cared a bit to make sure that she was feeling alright.

"Oh, alright then," Cynthia said, pushing her feelings aside for a more favourable topic- her siblings.

"Let's see-" she said, counting off her fingers. "There's Ace, James, Anden, Oliver, and Pierce. In that order of age. They're always-"

Cynthia was interrupted as a young man, probably a bodyguard, bumped into them, asking if something had happened. Cynthia frowned. Just when they had begun to really talk.

"I'm not quite sure," she said, not really willing to admit that she wasn't sure because she had been skipping class.

"Do you know anything about it, Zack?" Cynthia asked, looking towards her bodyguard. "Does something usually happen on first days of school here? If so, I would also like to know."

And yet again another person had walked up to them. Either the school had a very long lunch or there really was something happening. Cynthia decided to go with the second option.

This girl was gorgeous, dangerously so. And she was addressing her bodyguard. Cynthia just frowned slightly, irked by being ignored but watching for her bodyguard's reaction.

------

Jace gave a small, lopsided smile. "I'll be fine," he said. "She was just a cat- more so than I had expected."

Jace frowned when Vanessa started talking about herself in a way that wasn't very good to the self-esteem. Sure, he usually went for the higher-ups, and that going with this girl was probably more work than Jace had bargained for. But still. Jace still was responsible for Vanessa, even though now he would usually just wave it off and move on.

Circumstances were different.

"Princess!" Jace called out, jogging to catch up with Vanessa. "Where do you think you're going without your bodyguard, hmm?" Jace smirked half heartedly.

The bodyguard soon sobered though, frowning at the girl. Did she really think that low of herself?

"You don't cause me trouble," Jace said levelly. "You just make it more interesting."

Jace smiled, instead of smirking this time. "And you can't walk out on me now, princess- I was just getting excited about picking that dress."

Vanessa stopped in her path. "Pth. It was a test," she put on an extremely bright smile. "Just seeing if you really mean it, and you really care about me." She laughed. "Why don't we go to English class first?" She smiled. "Oh, and by the way, we really need a whole day just to pick out one dress?

Vanessa kept on walking, through the hallways, until they saw the English classroom. 'Im not messing up this class,'she thought to herself, 'I hope it's not hard.' She looked at Jace, and smiled. 'Its lucky to have such a caring bodyguard.' She thought to herself, 'but I can't help feeling something's going one between us.' She laughed inside to herself, and kept on walking.

@tralala22 - Delilah would be delighted to attend with Charles.
@marinalily

@kurochi-akuma

Egg Cave ate my post! D: Sorry.

I want to do Delilah's twin sister in the roleplay but then she wouldn't have a bodyguard and it shouldn't be uneven :c I would make him myself but four main characters does kind of sound like a lot...

--

"Hi." Delilah said after Charles had walked up to her. "I'm Delilah. Charmed, absolutely charmed." she said politely, curtsying.

"Oh! You're felt for brains bodyguard, aren't you?" Delilah laughed into her napkin, hoping a teacher didn't hear that work of pure genius.

--
"Not yet, I just heard about it after all." Bryce replied, tipping way back in his chair. "Ah, but I don't want to be a second choice, princess. I should go too. Tch, see you, Camille." He stood up, pushed in his chair, and sighed. Bryce threw away his garbage and walked to English Class.

@tralala22
Star hasn't been active on this RP though.. :/

"A test, huh," Jace said, smirking. "And I'm sure I passed. With flying colours."

Jace pulled out his own schedule, this time using his, for he was sure he wasn't going to find any more loose schedules on the ground anymore.

Scanning the small slip of paper, Jace looked over to what was happening after lunch hour. "It will be my pleasure to escort you to English, Princess," Jace said while giving a lopsided smile.

Walking alongside Vanessa, Jace gave a thoughtful hum, pretending to think about the question about the dress.

If Vanessa wanted the "perfect" dress for herself, it was either going to show up the first try or during the last store they had went to. Or anywhere in between. Jace knew that, from all his times where he had escorted girls to dress stores. If he was lucky, they would be done in a few tries. If not, the whole day.

If Vanesa didn't care- well, that was too bad. Jace was in charge, and he was going to relish it. It wasn't every day that he got to dress up a girl.

"That depends," Jace said, drawing it out. "You could find the dress on your first try, or on your last. Or anything in between that. But don't worry, my tastes are pretty solid," Jace reassured quickly, smirking. "You're in good hands."

Somehow, they had ended up at the English classroom. Jace glanced around, surprised they hadn't gotten lost in the grandeur of the hallways. For a country girl, Vanessa was holding herself together pretty well in the school. Pulling the door open, Jace held it for Vanessa, cocking his head. "And anyways, if we get finished early, you still need shoes, makeup, and perhaps a clutch if you want to carry something around. Basically a lot of stuff. Not to mention your hair has to be done for the day as well."

@fluffamun Yay!!!😊😊😊
@marinalily I know, and I am not sure what I'm going to do with her bodyguard, Richard.☚ī¸
--

Charles face went red. "Heh... Hi, my names Ch-Charles." He said, shivering as he spoke. "I-I don't go well with meeting girls. He smiled an embarrased smile. "Would you go to prom with me?" He asked, getting a little bit more comfortable since the girl seemed to be nice. "I-I'd understand if you wouldn't," he suddenly broke in, as he bent down on his knee and put his hand out.

---

Vanessa looked at Jace surprised. "I hope it only takes little time," she laughed, looking at her grossed out muddy high top converse sneakers, "I'm going to need a lot of work done." She walked through the door help open for her. Sitting down at a free desk at the back of the room, she carefully read the rules on the left side of the classroom. It read:

1. Raise your hand.
2. Be nice.
3. Don't talk when someone else is talking.
4. Have nice grammar.

And last of all,

5. Have fun.

She grinned at the last rule. 'It should be easy,' she thought to herself.

Suddenly, the teacher spoke up.
