My dog is kinda worrying me. ☹️ She's in pain and very tense. Everytime I press her stomach, she cries in pain, and we don't know why. We saw the vet yesterday and they took some scans, but saw nothing unusual. They gave us meds for the pain and they worked fine yesterday, but today we gave them to her and she's still in pain. ☹️ Can anybody help? Any advice, or any clue of what my dog may be having?Help...? Please..?

@chapus2009What kind of scans, like, did they see if she might have eat something? Is her stomach hard?I don't know how late it is with you, but I think that if you can, you'd better take her to the vet because he/she knows best!
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 6:18 PM
@infinityfate X-rays. And yes, her stomach is hard, but I dunno if it's because it's hard or because she's all tensed up. xIYah, we already did take her there, but they said there was nothing... though I'm not sure that's exactly right, I fear that the X-ray scan missed something. ☹️

@chapus2009 Maybe find another vet? Some vets can miss something. Other than that, I don't know what to say. But I'm sorry for your dog, I hope she turns out fine!

@chapus2009Have you or your vet thought about Gastric Torsion? I'll give you a link: http://www.vethelpdirect.com/vetblog/2011/03/16/gastric-torsion-in-dogs/If your planning on going to the vet again, you could consider going to another vet. Although most vets are good and well, there are still some bad ones out there, and from my own experience I know it could cost you your pet. Try to look a bit on dog forums, and search on google, you know the symptoms of your dog the best, and sometimes animals act different in a different environment. I hope your dog gets better!

@infinityfate Hmm... that could be it, but she's still eating and pooing and doing stuff like that. Sounds like a good idea to go to another vet as well, we have quite a few around the corner.
whitefire • 13 August 2013 at 6:55 PM
@Chapus2009Is she spayed?
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 7:12 PM
@whitefire No. ☹️
nitromegamer • 13 August 2013 at 7:31 PM
@chapus2009 Going on what @whitefire asked, if she isn't spayed, she might be having puppies. o-o" I'm not a dog expert, but just maybe. But if you did the X-ray, and the vet didn't see anything wrong, maybe it's not puppies.
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 7:37 PM
@nitromegamer That would be a possible case, but it's impossible. My dog won't even let a dog get near her. >~< And we would have seen the pups at the X-ray. RIght now, I'm directed to believing that it's bloat, but then again, it would have been seen on X-ray...*sigh* I just feel like I'm turning in circles.
nitromegamer • 13 August 2013 at 7:39 PM
@chapus2009Aw, love. ~Hugs~ I mean yeah, but I'm just saying. It could be possible, but probably not. D:Feel better. ❤️

@chapus2009 I'm sorry ☹️1. How old is she and what breed2. Does she play with dog toys?3. Can she walk straight and with out a limp?4. What kind of dog food does she eat?5. Does she seem to have any allergys? 6. Has she thrown up?7. Has she tried to eat grass recently?
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 8:19 PM
@nitromegamer Thanks. *hugs*@monchhichi01 ;-;1- She's a daschund and she's 4 years old.2- No, not really... some bottles and a tennis ball, thats all, really.3- More or less. When she needs to, yes. But other than that she just stays still.4- Iams.5- Well, she got an allergic reaction to a vaccine once...6- No.7- Nope.
nitromegamer • 13 August 2013 at 8:21 PM
@chapus2009 ;~;
monchhichi01 • 13 August 2013 at 8:26 PM
@chapus2009 1. Okay so she's not that old... Daschunds can have some medical issues but not many...2. Is it possible that she has swallowed any of her toys?3. Does she lay on her back, side, or stomach?4. How long has she been eating that brand/type?5. When did she have a reaction to that vaccine?6-7. Okay so most likely it's not a bug or else she would have or tried to. Does she seem to be wanting you to give her attention? Where is she laying? Do you have any other pets?
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 8:29 PM
@monchhichi01 1- Yah, thats why I'm worried. ;-; She's still young!2- No, they are far too big. :I3- Well, on her stomach.4- For a long time... but we change quite often.5- 2 years ago I believe.No, she's completely ignoring me. ☹️ Though she did ask for my dad when the pain started. (yesterday) She's laying on the kitchen floor, but I (gently) moved her to the couch. Nope, I have no other pets.@nitromegamer *sniffle*

chapus • 13 August 2013 at 8:32 PM
@nitromegamer But I'm worried for my dog. ;-; I love her so much... I'm just afraid it's something serious and that it will be too late to save her when they have to.
nitromegamer • 13 August 2013 at 8:33 PM
@chapus2009 </3 I.. ... ~Hugs~
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 8:34 PM

nitromegamer • 13 August 2013 at 8:37 PM
@chapus2009 ~Hugs your face~ Don't worry, love.
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 8:40 PM
@nitromegamer Don't touch my face. ;3; *hisssss*Okay, nevermind, I'll accept your... face hugging. But only this once! >>*aherm* Back to topic. Do you have a clue of what my dog could have though?
faybaybay • 13 August 2013 at 8:43 PM
@chapus2009 im so sorry ☹️ Could it be bloat? if she eats really really fast like my dog, she could have a twisted stomach? like in marley & me. or she could just have some sort of blockage. Also could be some kind of internal/intestinal tumor? or fluid in the abdomen due to heart problems? Just throwing some common dog health issues out there.
monchhichi01 • 13 August 2013 at 8:51 PM
@chapus2009 Well maybe she is laying on her stomach to "protect" it... ummm maybe her stomach is twisted or swollen. Has she had any surgeries recently or anything? Has she been going to the restroom on a regular basis? Has she been eating normally? Has she tried anything new? Does she have a rash?
nitromegamer • 13 August 2013 at 9:10 PM
@chapus2009 ewe Heh.Anyways, I don't have a clue. D: Sorry.
chapus • 13 August 2013 at 9:12 PM
@monchhichi01 Yah, she is kinda protecting it. No surgeries lately. Yah, her restroom times are good. She didn't eat much today though... Hasn't tried anything new, well, we are giving her food that the vet recommended us. No rash.
jirachiwishmaker • 13 August 2013 at 9:23 PM
@chapus2009I hope she feels better if it is something she might've ate I think lots of water will do her good that way it shall pass through her system also lots of love and attention, pets can sense when their master feels anything, but if you pet her to make the pain less comforting. And also talking to her to give her strength animals understand what you're telling them so tell her it's gonna be ok every day until this thing passes. Also, a second vet could do no harm as you're getting another opinion after all it's like with doctors sometimes they might not find anything wrong, but another person might find it.
monchhichi01 • 13 August 2013 at 9:23 PM
@chapus2009 Okay so if she isn't eating much that could mean that means that there is something wrong inside the stomach. She could have problems digesting... is she sleeping?
newlife • 13 August 2013 at 10:18 PM
@chapus2009 I used to have two dogs [one was a total idiot lol]But when they aren't feeling well, they eat grass. Grass is like a medicine for them o.o It's natural and it makes their stomach better. If she isn't eating grass... it could be something else

I can't offer any advice that hasn't been given, but I hope your dog gets better!
