Ascendants (Dragon RP)

PLOT:

Long ago, there was a war between dragon clans, Dark Ones and The Pure. There was a powerful crystal that held the ability to grand wishes, so all the dragons wanted it, but it kept changing side. One day it was with the Dark Ones and the other day, woops! It was with The Pure. Unlike the names, none of the sided were really considered 'evil' for they both wanted the crystal for the good of their nation. Dark Ones wanted it to replenish their empty home with a beautiful and luxurious land and give more fertility to their females, while The Pure wanted more knowledge and power for the better of their people. But they weren't the only ones in this war. The poor humans were stuck in between, and even if they didn't have a side they preferred, their villages were often targets of hungry warriors desperate for food and land. It was until the kings decided to split the kingdom in three and help whatever side each kingdom wanted to help. There were three big lands at the time.

The first one, Fors, was the land of frost and the kingdom with the smallest population, but their villages were filled with magicians and savants. Tired of the frost and cold that invaded their homes, they sided with Dark Ones.

The second one, Bota, was known as the land of forest. They mastered the art of crafting and were capable of building deadly weapons and large towns with all their resources like stone and wood. Wanting all the knowledge possible, they sided with The Pure.

And the last kingdom, Nira, was known as the land of sea. They had both knowledge and magic, for some villages were even built underwater! They were able to craft magical weapons and knew about many things, but since some parts of the kingdom were dangerous, so the kingdom didn't have much space to thrive. Since everybody had their own motivations, each person went their own way.

The dragons were surprised from this at first, but quickly liked the idea. Dark Ones promised to cleanse the human's lands and The Pure promised to help them to a better and higher technology if they won. The war waged on for many centuries, yet the crystal still moved from side to side. But one day, the crystal magically divided into two pieces, both sides were so happy! They could now get their goals with no fighting, so each side got their piece and the war ended there.

This fight happened many thousands of years ago, and it is now almost forgotten. And what is strange is that dragons and humans have... disappeared. The division disrupted the crystal's delicate energy and... the pieces exploded. The explosion then caused the fusion of dragons and humans, so today, all that is left are dragon humanoids.

But it doesn't stop there.... a new crystal with the same power has been found. Will there be a new war? Will brothers and sisters fight against each other once more? Nobody knows for sure, but the battle has already started and kingdoms are already starting to divide... now take your side!

CLASSES + TYPES:

There are a two classes, magic and warrior.

MAGIC: Your character masters, or almost, the art of magic. They were either born with it or they decided to learn this ability. In this class, there are types.

Elementalist: controls the power of the elements FIRE, FROST AND ELECTRIC.

Conjurer: has the ability to summon creatures under it's command or raise people from the dead to fight for them, but for a very short time.

Healer: these people are usually passive and try to avoid conflict, usually just there to heal others, but if they have to fight, they usually carry swords or staffs that are often very effective against the undead, making them feared by many Conjurers.

Druid:

The disadvantage of magic is that it drains the caster's energy which can result in black outs, multiple complications like skin cancer or brain tumours and even death. But if used carefully and correctly, the complications are less present.

WARRIOR: Your character masters, or almost, the force and smarts of a warrior. This skill is mainly learned but some people have an inborn talent. Once again, there are types: Long-range, close-range, assassin or thief.

Long-range: masters the art of the bow and other long rang weapons. They have a keen eye and a very good aim.

Close-range: masters in brute weapons such as axes, swords, maces, etc. They usually have very strong arms but are usually slower.

Assassin: works in the shadows and usually has very light weapons such a daggers, but can carry bows sometimes. They are fast and quiet but aren't as tough or strong as Close-range warriors.

Thief: like the assassin, these people work silently and quickly, but their motives are different, for they prefer to avoid conflict. They just want their loot, but if fighting has to occur, they usually aren't very skilled, as many thieves are just trying to get some easy coin. They carry daggers, usually cheap ones, but more fortunate thieves can be as good as assassins and many of them have been assassins before becoming thieves or vice-versa.

SPECIES:

There are also two different species that both live in this world. (The species does not change the side.)

Winged: These are basically winged humans that have dragon wings, a tail and sometimes horns and/or claws. But they mostly look more human than Anthros.

Anthros: These are pretty much as if a human wore a dragon skin. They have wings, tail(s), claws, scales, everything a dragon has, but stands on two legs. Tend to be more savage/'animal' than Winged, but have better stamina and strength.

KINGDOMS:

The kingdoms are still the same today, but have changed a bit.

Fors: This frosty kingdom occupies the north part of the country, and there are large mountains in the middle of this territory and to the south are snowy forests. This kingdom has many lakes around its mountains, so the population is more concentrated there. They are 100% Dark Ones.

Bota: This plentiful kingdom occupies the south part of the country. Smaller than Fors, it is still much more populated. To it's south are beaches that are avoided for the pirates that roam there and to the north, there are thick woods. Many rivers flos in this land, one which goes from the top of Fors, passes next to Nira and empties into the ocean at the south. This kingdom is 100% The Pure.

Nira: This coastal city occupies a smaller space than the two other kingdoms, located in the Western area of the country. It is an important place of commerce, since the Tumi River that start in Fors flows here. There is also a large sea at it's left, so many boats come here. This is the only places were there are no major disputes between The Pure or Dark Ones, though there are some occasional drunken bar fights. The villages that were once in the ocean have now been removed.

OTHER AREAS:

Dead Land: This spooky field is right in between Fors and Bota and to the right of Nira. It is called Dead Land because there have always been fights here since the beginning of time, so there are many skeletons and remains of ancient battles, thus nobody dares walk these lands for it is rumoured to be haunted by ancient ghosts. During war, it is passed on.

Streak: This long stretch of forest on the Eastern side of the country is like the Dead Land, so it belongs to no kingdom. Though it is used to pass illegal merchandises from kingdom to kingdom without having to pay taxes. It is also place for many refugees that have escaped or lost their homes.

Castien Lakes: These are the large lakes that surround the large mountains in the middle of Fors. They are the main source of water for many of the villagers in this cold kingdom. They were actually made by Dark Ones because of the numerous avalanches that destroyed the human's homes around the mountains. It's source actually comes from under the ground and it empties it's waters into many rivers across the land, many which verse into some lakes in Bota.

Personality: Niurn is a creative and imaginative girl. She loves to explores new places and loves the forest. She is brave and very friendly. Although she has a certain fear of big, loud and crowded places. She is also scared of strangers. Other than that, she is also very patient and observant.
Looks: She has long, brown silky hair that has a golden reflect in the sun. She is very tall (6"3) and slim. She has bright yellow eyes that look like dragon eyes. Her nails are a bit sharper and longer, but she cuts them often because they disturb her when she uses her bows. She has a long, white tail with a bit of fluff at the end. On her back are large white wings that have a large wingspan. She has lightly bronzed skin.
Crush: None for the moment. 😸
History: She was born in a small village up north with her parents and siblings. When a huge avalanche nearly destroyed the entire village and killed her only sister, they were forced to move south. They then installed in a big kingdom near the forest, but when the war started again, they were forced to move out since the city was purely The Pure. She teached herself to use bows and was taking classes in the city before. Her parents and her then lived in the woods when her parents died from food poisoning, she walks on her own. She was hunting quite often as well.

Class + type: Magic, Alteration.
Side: Dark Ones
Personality: For the most part, Ae'jorn is known as lazy. Not one to do something or really ANYTHING least he see a worthwhile purpose to it. He's bossy, and has a temper easily broken, but contrary to his blood type, it's a cold anger he has. He's got the ability to be patient, caring and empathetic, only he isn't accustomed to exercising it much. Pride, aloofness, and arrogance are all traits he possesses. However, he is not at all vain. In fact, he loathes being an Anthros, considering his kind ugly, and the fore-mentioned traits are ploys to hide his insecurity. Despite appearances, he's not all that bad to be around so long as he isn't in a bad mood. Just not exactly dumplings of joy.
Looks: His entire body is covered in fish-like scales, silver and baby blue in color, which vary greatly in size, with some of the largest being as long as his pinky finger and half as wide. But in places like his cheeks, palms, soles, undersides of his arms and a stripe running vertically up his stomach and chest, the scales are so small that they seem as smooth and unbroken as skin, and here they are more of a white than anything, awfully pale and lifeless in shade. Much like a human's response to feelings of fear or cold, his scales will raise slightly so that their pointed edges may do more damage if Ae'jorn is feeling angry, or so that heat may be more easily released when he is overheated. His ears are long and tapered to a point, like an elf's, and he has a mane of long black hair, and a matching tail of the same; much like that of a horse. He has fingers longer and more slender than those the humans had, and lacks completely nails or claws; only scales cover the digits. With a slim and sleek but not un-muscled body, an athlete could yet be made of Ae'jorn, were he disposed to such an end. His face is similarly thin, features not soft, too harsh perhaps to be considered really handsome (as lizards go), and somewhat slanted. He possesses no wings. Lastly, his eyes are colored a deep brown, truly the most human aspect of Ae'jorn.
