Well I guess since you were gone you missed the whole thing where they took away CC gifting. I was gone too. Many people have suggested letting you offer cc on trades but the mods don't like it. So there is no way to transfer cc anymore and because of that lots of people have ended up leaving the site.@moon_thief

@moon_thief leafpoolz is right. I sat back and watched it all and watched people leave. It was sad but oh well. I manage ta find people who still do freezes and trade new CC critters. And others have managed too. Just takes a little more time and effort x3 I like the idea but I really doubt it would happen though cause of all I've seen said and stuff.

@moon_thief @leafpoolz @immortalraven Ya, I think that this should be included in the trades. đ Lots of people are leaving EggCave now because it is not possible to transfer CC anymore and they think that the new creatures aren't good. âšī¸

This is a direct quote from @Ian addressing this issue in another topic on this subject. I hope it clears up some of the misconceptions about CC gifting and this supposed "lots of users" quitting."First off, CaveCash gifting wasn't removed primarily because of scamming. It was removed because CaveCash became a sort of "gold standard" that trumped the Egg Coin (EC) in the free markets. As a free web site, it was detrimental for our players to be dominated by a paid currency. Gifting was meant to be used for sending a one-way gift to a friend, without expecting anything in return. But it was misused and established an insecure, under-the-table currency exchange market, which massively inflated the value of CaveCash relative to the EC.Second, with regards to trade/forums activity, school season has just begun. Students are back in class all around the world, which leaves less time for Egg Cave. So, yes, you may notice a change in buzz, but it's certainly not because Egg Cave is dying or that there's a mass exodus of people "quitting." There's not. And remember, "I'm quitting" topics are often drama-filled and exaggerated. Ironically, the people who start them often remain on the Forums to continue to discuss things."

Thanks for the ping @Orderedchaos. You've pretty much covered the bulk of it.I also want to mention that the removal of CaveCash gifting didn't cause a bunch of people to quit. Some people did leave, yes, but it was not en masse.Topic closed, since your original question has been addressed. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
