You did a great job giving the last two stages different silhouettes, but I agree with @wildhorse32 that the last two stages could benefit if they contrasted more. Maybe you could add fins to the last stage, an extra set of tentacles, or even a red (or other contrasting color) "gem" to the forehead.
On the whole, I especially like the tentacles on the egg. I'd be tempted to freeze an egg or two beyond the ones that I let grow up. You definitely have a flare for creating unique creatures.

I agree as well, but I knida did it on purpose. I wanted to give this creature a simpler look, because I thought it as a common cave creature. Nothing too fancy or elaborated. 😋
By the way, I like however the idea of adding more fins (maybe also two more tentacles would be ok), and I'll surely try to work something out very soon. ;-)

I think it looks great for a cave creature. The second stage could maybe use two more tentacles, either between the already existing pairs (so if you count them from the middle, it would now be "1+3", with the "2" missing) or on the outsides (so the now existing ones would be "1+2"). Does this make sense? 😃

It does evolve really nice, the first stage looks a little "childish" and the second stage looks mature and a little mean...so I say "EC, go for it".

Yup, it makes sense, and I agree with you, @megadash and @wildhorse32 about it. ❤️ How I said, I'm kinda lazy when I have to re-doing something, but I'll eventually do it, don't worry. ;-)
And lol, yes, it's definitely a little mean. It wants to spray ink over people who approaches it. 😋

@wererage But I totally like it the way it is now, already. So these additional tentacles may not be neccessary or make it better. 😉 If you do them I might say "uh, I liked the first design better". 😉

It's for that reason I prefer to not edit the original drawing. ;-P
I think I just try to draw the second stage in a different way, following your suggestions, and If I will like it more than the precedent, I will add it on the first post. ^^
