Lately, I've been seeing an extreme amount of travels in the TA. Those many travels of HIGH RARITY, along with plenty of common ones.

I get that almost everyone is trying to help raise the value of EC, but adding too many travels in the TA will only cause more problems! If there are too many travels of a kind (especially the ones that are in higher rarity than the others), they become as valued as COMMON TRAVELS (be it stating common in the rarity or one of those travels that are always in the TA no matter what). As a matter of fact, it's happening now! Many travels that used to be held in at least a bit of a higher regard than common travels, are now on the same level.

How does this hurt the value of EC?

Well, if the travels' worths are reduced to a small amount of EC (Like 5K ~ 25K in my own opinion), there will be more EC left over from feeding/trading.

Ways to "cure" this can be to reduce the amount of EC being given out when feeding, or standing firm on the rarity of travels. I'll admit, that upholding a travels' rarity status will not do as much help as reducing the amount of EC that comes from feeding, but at least it's a start.

What I propose for the travel part, is to reset the chance of them appearing in the TA to those of the chances of them appearing in the TA in early 2013 or so.

I don't know if that made any sense at all. 😋


On another note, I would also like to propose the idea of putting the same character limit when naming and renaming creatures. The character limit for renaming creatures in the Town Hall is up to 14 characters. The last time I checked, the character limit for naming creatures in the Cave were 20 characters. I would personally like to see this changed so that they both have the same character limit, but I don't suppose it's very necessary.

Ooh. I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME THING OK like I love the really pretty rare travels but MMF I'VE SPENT 1 MIL EC IN TRAVELS IN LIKE THE PAST WEEK AND I HAVE OVER 200 SOME TRAVELS IN MY STORAGE ROOM HELP I'M A HOARDER qq

But yeah. EC value is important. Other stuff that you said much more eloquently than me.

And that character limit thing is a good suggestion too, just 'cause. I didn't notice, but it's a legitimate claim. ^^

Back before I was stuck paying like 5oo,ooo to 1 Mil EC for just one new travel. I like it this way better because I'm not forced to pay a greedy price /eye twitch/

LOL I know nothing about economics. I don't take Personal Finance for two years 8'D //shot

But from my general knowledge of bad economies, I think so too. Nobody really cares about EC anymore. :/

My dream is to have an all aurora lights-ish cove. All travels like Ajani Asteroid, Eastern Windlights, etc. c:

But thinking about the long run, I'm a little iffy. FairyWorld travels used to be worth whole creatures, but now I have three in storage.

Ever since I joined I'd never seen a Fairyworld go for a critter other than a evolved common. They still go for the price that I've always been able to get them and they still go for the same that I've seen others go up to. The travels still can and do go for the same amounts that I have seen since I joined and before the TA was changed. I don't know how many times it's changed but I admit they are in there more. But now it is easier for some to get them for fairer prices. Some people had horrible trouble getting travels because people asked ridiculous prices and still do and still get ridiculous prices. I still see new ones go for like 5oo,ooo to 1 Mil but not as much. I rather it this way than someone asking for a price I won't do and me turning them down again and again until I find someone who does a reasonable price. Cause they'll still available in the TA. Some used to ask for the same as a retired would go for so yeah >.>

It's true that in the past, we had to pay massive amounts for one single new travel, but that did give EC somewhat of a higher value, did it not? The price of the new travels died down as well after a week or two passes by.

I've never seen a travel such as FairyWorld go for a hatched common! 0: I've seen FairyWorld and other travels such as BioJungles go for the high prices of 500K- 1mil, maybe even higher.

Maybe the Restocking rates should change, but not as extreme hard to get like last year's, yet not as easy to get as now?

Hi I'm back from watching a movie//

All I really know about economy is

-If everyone is poor, that's a really bad economy. ((is that even correct grammar))

-If everyone has excess of something but no use or it has no value ((Like overproduction in farm areas after WWI)), the economy is bad.

So maybe I really shouldn't have made this topic due to my limited knowledge, but the travel agency was just bothering me a lot.

But from what I've said above-- This economy seems similar to the one with overproduction/excess of something. Most users have excess of EC with no way to use it, ((auctions helped raise the value highers but I feel like it's still lacking ;A;))

I see your point. Trouble is, I really like that the TA has tons of travels available. When I say that, I don't mean I like that it's ignoring the rarity, I like that recently, it has been STUFFED with travels. Before, there were usually only four or five available, and they were all junk travels. I like that I can go there and see several.

As far as effecting the value of ec, the only impact I've noticed is on the people trying to sell travels. With so many available in the TA all the time, its difficult for people to sell travels on the forums and make a profit. Because people will just nip over to the TA.

As far as rarity though, I think it's something else entirely. If rare travels are still in the TA, then its simply not in high demand. Take Egg Patch. It's hanging out in the TA right now. It's very rare. Is anyone buying it? No, because people are after more popular travels right now, like tree nook. All of the recent rare travels are not to be found in the ta, because people are snapping those up!

And please, please do not ask them to lower the amount given out for feeding. I will hunt you down.
