I've experienced that awhile back. It happens, either life gets in the way, they just don't have as much fun on here and they grow up, people on here get to them, annoy them, or are rude, or they have trouble getting things they want and just give up and such. But ya usually end up making new friends and such x3 Or they eventually come back c:

@takochu Yeah I've noticed that. First people make accounts and then they don't come on again leaving their creatures to die. My real life friend Mia is @hamburger. She signed up but never really went on again.

I kept going on hiatus in seventh grade due to being grounded and a lot of my friends left during that time. I myself am gonna quit soon though... It came to a point where I was just here to roleplay, and the kind of roleplay I like seems to have died down so I don't even bother any more.

@takochu I've noticed it too, many people are quitting. And if many of your friends are players that have been here for quite some time, it's normal, because the excitement of the website is gone for them, thus they see no more reasons to stay or they get busier in real life. I, myself, have jumped back and forth from quitting and not quitting and I still come back every day, but I'm far from being as active as before.

It's an issue that either school is in the way, life is just too hard, or that Eggcave is becoming unappealing.
Eggcave has changed from those 2 years ago, when CC trading was allowed, and everyone was active.
Compared from then to now, Eggcave seems dead. And it is, a bit. Not too much, but compared to then, yes.
Also, the amount of beggars, rude, and snotty people are increasing. Two years ago, barely anyone bothered me about UFT creatures when I said they weren't UFT on my profile. Now, I get about 2-3 questions about UFT creatures when it says on my profile, wall, and their profiles that they aren't UFT.
People need to read, and I think people are quitting because the new comers are just so hard to deal with. I've been taking hiatuses more often than not because Eggcave is not as appealing, and I've found something else to waste my time on. Plus, all these noobs are bothering me too much to actually /enjoy/ the game enough.
Also, it's also because GlitterGraphcis blocked codes from adoptables sites, so now it's so much harder to immortalize, other than Yarold's, which is a bit slower.
Plus with Eggcavern gone, it's about ten times harder.

I had 2/3 of my friend list leave at roughly the same time early last year

It made me want to quit too...
I would love to RP but I do not have the time because it's the last year of school for me and a few have said that they would return at the end of the year **maybe**
I'm sticking around though because I personally love EggCave as a website and it intrigues me how much is user suggested. No other website I've seen has done anything like this and each new suggestion makes me happy 😃

@takochu

It's bound to happen. The best thing you can do is get another way to contact them so you don't lose them completely.
