I'm not entirely sure how to make a description flow so please bear with me, I'll just give you a few basic things about the Garast.

All Garast are born with minor magical capabilities, what those said capabilities are not well known. This is due to the fact that they namely reside high up in the mountains in a herd.

Many of the herds consist of young and adolescent Garast, rarely are elderly Garast seen in a herd. The elderly Garast are loners in most cases.

As the Garast age, they start to loose their color, turning ghostly white/grey. Also with age their magic capabilities grow in power. It is suspected that their abilities reside around illusions and causing hallucinations.

Around early to mid October, there are frequent reports of ghostly sightings at night. These reports become more and more frequent the closer Halloween approaches. (Only the older Garast will wander down from the mountains.) No one really knows why the older Garast come down from their mountain home in October but some theories are centered around them collecting wandering spirits or warding negative spirits away from the populated regions of Ark.


Other info~
Adolescent Garast are aggressive and they will fight for dominance in a herd.

Their hide is primarily made up of a thick leather like skin but they do have a main of fur like material around their necks. From their mains and between their horns a eerie green substance leaks -- this substance is their magic -- it can expand into a fog like cover or used for illusions -- when breathed it causes hallucinations which wear off after a few minutes.

Despite living in the mountains Garast do enjoy a good swim from time to time. Although the cold stream water is not ideal for a creature of cold blood, they will still take shot swims or even wade in the water on occasion - just after they do, they always seek a sunny spot to warm up.
