Make (at least CC) travels changeable without disappearing

Would you like to have (CC) travels not disappearing after using them? (Multiple answers allowed.)

The title pretty much says it. I think it's kind of "sad" how the travels just disappear if you change them. I understand the concept of them being places that the creatures visit and I'm totally fine with that.

But my main issue (And I know I'm not the only one who feels like this. @immortalraven and I talked about this.) basically is that if you put a CC travel on a creature and change the travel after a while, the CC travel just disappears. Just knowing that if I start to buy CC and get the CC travels to add them to a creature's item collection will make me lose those travels really frustrates me.

If I'd get all four CC travels that are available for a month I'm spending 200 CC for them and in the end I don't really have anything from it and basically would have to buy them all again to put them on creatures that I'd like to see with that travel or just collect them in the items storage for myself. It kind of makes me want to refuse buying CC in the first place.

It would be way nicer if at least the CC travels would be changeable without them disappearing or/and maybe, as an alternative, that you can pick any travel from the creature's item collection and make it the new/active travel. (Because for sure the creature remembers a place that he/she went to sometime ago and might want to check if everything still looks the same or meet some friends there, right?)

So. What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Comments, feedback and everything else is allowed. 😉

I agree though I think they should only be able to be used again a max of 5 times.
I also like the alternative idea though doesn't really apply to me since I don't collect like that xD

I think the alternative idea is pretty good and makes sense. I think that only CC Travels should be able to be reused though since you do have to pay with real money to get CC.

I totally agree but only for CC travels. You can only obtain these travels for only a month and a little slip can cost you 50 CC and you have nothing to show for it.

@larrystylinson @immortalraven Yeah I agree with you two (although I've never actually purchased cavecash before... XD). Perhaps for normal travels you can use them to a max of 3 times or twice?

I agree. CC travels should be reusable. I like the idea of only being reusable five times.

5 times seems a little too much, I agree with the one where you said creatures who already have the travel can choose what they want to wear / what travel to use from their item collection. o3o

I've never bought CC travels, but this does make sense. Why put an expensive, rare travel to waste? You can't help if it doesn't look good on a creature. Agreed.

I'd say the new owner should be able to use the travels that the creature has... I mean, if you move from one town to another you still remember where your old house is and take all your stuff with you to the new house, right? 😉

When I realized that travels delete if you remove them, I stopped collecting them. I cannot fathom for the life of me why they are deleted. They're just pictures, why do they disappear when the pet steps away from them? It's utterly ridiculous to me, and I have decided I'm not going to waste EC on them if they're single use. That's just silly. Of course, if I won't spend EC on them, why would I spend CC? That's real money we're talking about here. I know that these were created as a creative and pretty way to "cash sink", but if people don't want to spend the currency because it's too much of a loss, then it's not working anyway and its intended purpose is not being fulfilled. I'm hoping some kind of compromise can be reached on this.

I agree only CC travels though.
the economy is helped a lot by us buying new travels but I agree CC is bought with real money and thus the CC travels should last longer.
Only seems fair, and this is coming from someone who has never had or been able to buy CC.

Just wanted to pop in here with an idea, since none have really been suggested yet: Why not make "Return Voucher"? If you want to stick with the idea that the pet has actually traveled somewhere and that's what the picture is of, the Return Voucher would be a "ticket" the owner could purchase to allow the pet to return there (one use per ticket). Of course, this would mostly be for CC travels, but it should be applicable to all. Here's my reasoning. If you make it available for, say, 5-10K EC, that's more than most EC travels sell for. In most cases, it would be cheaper just to buy the travel again if it's one that is still available. However, you've still got an EC sink for anyone who doesn't want to bother waiting around for the shop to restock the travel they're wanting AND people who've spent EC don't have to spend more just to get back what they've already bought. Either way, people will end up spending EC and this will help clear the market of excess EC - not to an outrageous extent, but it will help to solidify the EC sink aspect of travels again. Furthermore, by keeping it at least somewhat affordable, you also make it more widely accessible and therefore increase the chance that the sink will be used by more people. Just a thought.
