So my second contest is about a Mos.
RULES:
1.This contest devides in two sections
1)drawing
2)writing
You can choose just one.
2.What you need is to draw/write about Mo.
2.1.Drawing can show ANY but egg stage of Mo.
3.There will be two winners and two prizes:
1 --for drawing
2--- for story/poem
4.The prize is Mo egg❤️
5.It's just for fun so I want you to take it easy ❤️
6.Please only post your entry here
7.No limit of sighn ups so no number.
8.Deadline is 03.05.15. The last day of sighn ups is 02.05.15

3.Why do you like Mos? I have a fascination with birds in general and there's a species of bird that looks similar to the Mo that visits my house frequently for the tree in my garden.

I like Mos because they remind me of Phoenixes and protection... I particularly like the colors and the tail that seems a molted gold drop...

Yes, because life is hard, be it for diseases, school, work, family or even loneliness...
Just don't loose faith and believe that there's always someone there for you.

--- Mo: the Protector ---

In an ancient and hidden site
there was a Mage with his bride.
They were just been bound together
for eternity and forever.

Yes you see, their magic is strange:
they could live thousand years without change.
Not even a wrinkle on their faces,
on their hands or other places!!

They lived a lot and lived in love
watching suns and stars above...
Travelling and learning a lot of things:
even how to make golden rings!!

They helped a lot, you don't know how much
all over the world with their touch:
using magic to cure and clean
it was something no one foreseen.

All was perfect, that was until a day
the Mage became ill without no way
to know how to cure him from this disease
that was unknown all over the seven seas.

The magic couldn't help him no longer
to stop his Cancer, every day more stronger.
So he worked, and hid from his wife
a personal project about life...

You know, he wanted to create
a special pet for his lovely mate:
to never left her all alone
from the moment when he was gone.

So he decided: he took his golden ring
then with fire, molted it into a wing.
He said an enchantment of his invention...
Fast! Before someone's intervention.

It was then, that in front of him
appeared a bird glowing in the dim:
all green, with purple wings and a trail
formed of golden feathers: a tail.

The creature was kind and very sage
so he looked to his creator, the Mage:
"You created me with only love in mind
I'll cure you because you're very kind."

The Mage then saw a golden light
surrounding him and the bird in sight.
His wife returned just then in time
to see and hear the bird, the first of his kind:

"You don't need me anymore, others will.
I'll go to them, to protect and heal.
You gave me part of your magic
I'll do a lot of good where it's all tragic."


My dear readers, please, now don't be sad.
This story after all is not so bad...

Mos are still travelling, and always healing
where there's need, they keep on appearing...

3. I like Mos, mostly because they're drawn well and look like rare creatures, even though they aren't. I find them to be pretty. That's about it. 😋

The Mo with David Attenborough

It is finally nightfall in the jungle and with the slight glow in the trees ahead, I know that there's going to be a Mo nest not too far from here. These majestic birds are barely taller than a toddler, only standing .40 m tall and a wingspan of approximately .60 m.

It is astonishing that there are any in the Jungles as they are so rare that poachers would trek for days searching for one to sell for the amazing amount of 300,000 EC! The absurdity, putting a price on life. But here, in the jungles, the Mo is the most precious sight you can ever witness, with some calling it a once in a lifetime event. Their songs are even recorded and published for all of Ark to hear, no singer can ever be as popular as a symphony of Mos.



The Mo with Steve Irwin

Day 14 into the wild terrain of the Jungle, this arvo we've finally stumbled across some old nests that appear to be a Mo's. No other bird can craft such a beaut nest. Crikey there's even some feathers stuck between the twigs! Now those would be some mad souvies (souvenirs) for the kids, how many kids can say they have some Mo feathers? I can't believe anyone would want to buy a Mo, yes they are pretty but they're priceless out here in the Jungles where they belong. Crikey look at what just flew over our head! It's a small family of Mos! Crikey, howaboutthat! If we follow them we may even find a nest!


The Mo with Steve Backshall

((he communicates frequently with his camera crew and they are often in view and assisting him in locating anything of interest. Normally never goes close to the animals due to danger. I'm including this because he's relatively unknown compared to the other two hot shots!))

While on the hunt to put the Revii on the Deady 60, we've stumbled across a heavenly sound, a Mo's call. To this day, our scientists are still unsure if these majestic creatures originated in Ark or in some far of planet called Earth, which may also bear life.

There's so little footage of Mos in the wild so we decided to take a break on the Revii to follow this sweet sound. What's that, up in the tree you say? Oh yes, I see it! There's a Mo's nest right up there. Look at those wings, I've never seen anything quite like it! Woooow, there's even a chick or two there too! How many eggs can you see, 3 or 4? It doesn't matter, there's at least one there shining brightly in view. Look at the larger Mo, the male, it's keeping an eye on us but we're too far away for him to be alarmed. We better stick here though, we wouldn't want to anger him.

Your entry is great! At first I was wondering what it had to do with a Mo but when I found out I thought it was a great twist to the origin of the Mo!

I wrote it like that to show how different these guys are despite doing roughly the same thing. Irwin and Backshall are always in awe while David always tells us facts about what's going on. It definitely was a sad time when Irwin died...

Thanks xD I too didn't know why I started with a Mage and a Wedding really xD....it all came down in 2 hours....but I just know a person that is dying with cancer and I think that sites like these should give comfort and a smile to all those whom are having a hard time in real life 😊
I hope the thematic wasn't too sad o.o
