Cynthia used Leaf Storm to hide them from the Rampardos. She hoped it would be able to though. She started running away with the others.

Pepper splashed into the water, trying to stay calm. "Whatever you do, don't freak out," she whispered to herself. "Throw the boat in the water, Troy! We'll all climb on top of it!"

Navy decided to fly instead of weighing down the weak boat, Cynthia did the same thing, for they feared that the boat will break.

troy started paddling by leaning off the boat a little and waving his arms back and fourth. being a rock AND a steel type, he hated water.

Irwin felt as if something was watching him. He looked out the window but it seemed like Scorpio and his shadow were gone. He fogged up his glasses and wiped them with his sleeve and made sure he wasn't just seeing things, but when they still didn't seem to be visible through the window he returned to his work.

Navy got into the icy cold water and started to flap and paddle, he dreaded the water since he was a feline, but not as much as Troy.
Cynthia started to use Leaf Storm to move the boat along hoping the Rampardos won't get into the water or catch up.

troy hated the water, but he preferred pain over death in most cases, and this was one of them. he tried to paddle, but his legs were to short.

Polly tweeted angrily, trying to direct Irwin's attention to the escaping experiments. He looked up, and Polly lifted her wing in the general direction of the window, where the boat could be plainly seen.

"Ack! I thought I set up a Bastiodon barrier! How'd they get out!?" he gasped, adjusting the dials on the egg's heat lamp to a stable condition before flinging the door open and sprinting down the hall to stop them. His shoes clacked loudly against the floor as he ran as fast as he could until his lungs burned. Luckily, he was near the exit and burst outside to stop them, four Porygon2 and two Porygon-Z behind him.

"H-hey! Stop!!" he screamed, lunging towards the boat in an attempt to stop them. He grabbed hold of its small hull and tried to pull it ashore, although he was weak and scrawny, he still pulled as hard as he could.

again, this was one of those situations where he'd prefer pain over death, but also, freedom over captivity.

troy splashed as much water as he could on irwin's flame, but also paddling away, and threw a few rocks at him that were almost the size of himself. he was super strong.

he was happy about his 'get lost or get bossed' phrase. maybe that could be his new motto?

Irwin screamed in pain as he felt Pepper's teeth sink into his skin but didn't let go. He was about to fall in the water, but pulled back as hard as he could with his feet dug into the soft sand, sending the boat back to the shore. As if it was second nature, he immediately used Flare Blitz on the whole boat in reaction to the pain, evaporating the water flying through the air into a cloud of acrid vapor. The Porygon used Conversion into water types so they wouldn't be affected by the fire, then used Tri-Attack on Pepper and Troy at full power.

The attack triggered an explosion, the boat flying in pieces rocketed up by the impact. Water shot up like a gigantic geyser had erupted beneath them, nearly extinguishing Irwin and short-circuiting the Porygon. Irwin scampered back a few feet and the Porygon put up a Light Screen to deflect the explosion's aftermath.

Pepper used Thunder Wave on the Porygon, trying to defend herself from the attacks. "LEAVE US ALONE!" Then she tackled Irwin, her eyes full of fury.

He toppled into the water, his flame nearly diminishing. He thrashed about, trying to struggle back onto land, but eventually ran out of energy and fell into the waves. His fire diminished, and his heartbeat slowed to a crawl.

So this is it... he thought to himself, his body limp and lifeless. That's all it took to kill me. A bunch of my coworker's science projects and a five-foot deep ocean. I-I'm... Really gonna die as a Pokémon.

His body fell limply onto the sand under the waves, the pieces of the destroyed boat floating above him. The Porygon mechanically exchanged glances with looks of seeming concern, although their faces were completely vacant.

Pepper landed in the water. she paddled around and looked around for Irwin. "When I find you..." A wave pushed her underwater and saw Irwin at the bottom.

The life was slipping from his body as he struggled to even think. Being a Fire-Type Pokémon, especially one with an external flame, submerged in water is a life-or-death situation. It seemed like he was leaning toward death. His mind was slow and groggy, but one sentence sifted through his head over and over again.

I just want to be human again.

Pepper went back up for air and swam back down next to Irwin. She looked at him dying. Again, she was hesitant leaving him and she hated herself for it.

troy started swimming. he would swim til he sank to get away from this monster.

"dont worry about me if i drown, you guys just swim or fly or something. be free."

what was he thinking???? he didn't want to drown.

troy couldnt float though. he swam as fast as he could, going to about the point in the ocean where the water was 30 feet deep, then struggling to stay on top. he swam a few more feet and began to sink.

this is it...i guess i'm gonna drown after almost achieving freedom.

She didn't know if Irwin would still be alive, but she swam over to Troy who had started to sink. Grabbing him, Pepper lifted him to her back and started doggy paddling to shore. "If we are going to be free, so are you."
