{Plot}
The land was once bright and cheery, knowing no danger or war. One night without warning, monsters with eyes of bloodlust appeared out of the shadows, striking down all who came in their path. Thousands of unprepared from the former peace were killed brutally and wthout warning. The beasts could only live in the shadows, and when the small rays of the sun peeked over the horizon, the light shunning monsters fled back into the shadows to wait for the night to come again.
What was left of the innocents hid behind locked doors each night, cowering in fear and depression from the evil of the darkness.

Half a century later, organizations of trained beast hunters popped up into popularity. One of the most skilled and famous, the Beast's Bane. Each night the hunters would hunt down monsters, risking their own lives for the alluring idea of peace---or in some other's cases---money.

{Small Summary}
This RP takes place in an medieval setting. Beasts appear out of seemingly nowhere every night with the only intention to kill. The Beast's Bane is group of hunters that hunt down the beasts.

{Beasts}
Beasts come in many shapes and sizes. The most common ones are in predatory animal forms, but there are some humanoid ones. The only thing they are have in common is red, souless eyes and the desire to kill.
Beasts are beings of darkness, and only can survive in the dark. Their weaknesses are little and hard to exploit, especially since every one is different in some way, but the most common weakness is fire, or light in general.

{Rules}
- No godmodding or Sues. (If you don't know what those are, look it up)
- Semi-literate. Please have at least DECENT spelling and grammer. Small mistakes here and there are fine. 3+ sentences per post.
- Your characters must be in the Beast's Bane. I'm sorry but I don't want the characters stretch too far away from each other, especially since beast hunting is all about traveling.
- I'm sorry but I'm not allowing beast characters either (not a GOOD one either, thats way too cliche) All beasts will be side characters and are being hunted down.
- Characters MUST have a weakness to balance out their strengths!
- Please don't talk to yourself. By this I mean don't have your own characters constantly interacting with each other unless it's absolutely necessary. Dating "yourself" is not allowed either.
- No killing others' characters without their permission.
- Keep it PG-13 or lower.
- Put your character's zodiac sign in "other" if you read the rules.

Appearance: Short black hair to her shoulders, brown eyes and has a deep scar on her cheek. About 5"5 in height and has fair skin. Wears a plain shirt with an overcoat, jeans and black flats.
Personality: An introvert. Cold, sly and judgmental but smart.
Main Weapon: A small dagger with some marking on handle.
Strengths: Know a lot of fighting skills, will usually weaken the beasts using them before stabbing with her dagger.
Weaknesses: Sometimes messes up when in front of the group and ends up being injured.
Past: Was born in a poor family and when she was 11, the beast had killed her parents and siblings but she escaped just in time. Hates the beasts and wants to avenge her family.

Gender: Female
Age(18+): 20
Species: Mostly human, part elven.
Appearance: She has an constant air of youth around her, resulting from her elven blood. She has short blonde hair almost always tied in an messy ponytail. Her eyes are dark brown. Tanis wears light clothing, mostly made of cotton so she has little resistance while moving.
Personality: She's very independent and hates when others tell her what to do. She's stubborn and rebellious which can be trouble when she's given a order.
Main Weapon: A shortsword.
Strengths: She specializes in anything with a blade(as long as it's not too heavy.) Tanis is very quick and nimble on her feet.
Weaknesses: She's not very physically strong, and can be taken down easily if she takes a hit.
Past: Most of Tanis's family was killed over the years (Though this isn't very uncommon) The only ones left are her sister and father, but Tanis is unsure about them since its been years since she last saw them. She sends the money she earns from being a hunter to them, though she's pretty unsure where it ends up.

Appearance: Standing at about five eleven Eon has brown hair and hazely gold eyes. His face is coated in freckles and he has a scar on his left shoulder.
He usually wears clothing that lets him move easily.
Personality: He cares for others a lot more than he cares for himself. He tends to put himself last to ensure his friends are safe.
He's almost always there to help others. He's basically the male equivalent of the mom friend.
Main Weapon: He uses two Dao swords.
Strengths: He is rather agile, and has good stamina.
Weaknesses: He has alight anxiety, and so he can often out himself on edge more than necessary before a mission. He tends to care too much for others and can be distracted as a result.
Past: Eon doesn't remember his family all that well. He was shipped into various relatives homes over the years, rarely staying for note than one year at a time.

Species: Orc

Orok is tall and large wih greenish grey skin. His eyes are bright green and his head is completely bald. He wears a heavy set of silverish armor.
Personality: He stays quiet most of the time, an army solider awaiting a order from his general. He's kinda dumb and slow on the uptake. He's unusually patient and loyal for an orc, but can be very stubborn.
Main Weapon: An axe.
Strengths: Physically strong.
Weaknesses: He's not very bright, and slow both physically and mentally.
Past: He's lived most of his life in an orc village, but the beasts don't even spare the ones also viewed as monsters. He joined the Beast's Bane for vengeance.

Species: Elven
Appearance: Aisha is tall with brown skin. Her ears are slightly pointed at the end, as most elves' ears are. She has long limbs and wiry muscles. Her messy dark purple hair comes to her waist, and she has dark blue eyes. Aisha's choice of clothing are jeans, a long blue shirt that flows when she walks, and airy boots with rounded tips.
Personality: Bright, positive, and determined. Surprisingly, it takes a long time to earn her trust, but when it's proved you're a true friend, she is loyal to the end. She has a soft spot for animals, and loves to interact with them.
Main Weapon: A bow and arrows. Her bow has swirling blue designs inscribed on it.
Strengths: She is quick, and excellent at hand-to-hand combat.
Weaknesses: Aisha is not physically strong, and overcome easily by brute force. She is claustrophobic and much prefers open spaces.
Past: Aisha is close friends with the princess of the Elven kingdom she originates from. She grew up in the castle, and had a happy carefree life up until The Siege. The Elven kingdom was well protected, and The King's Guard were skilled in keeping the shadow beasts at bay. But one dark night, the guard and all other royal defenses were overwhelmed, and the kingdom fell. Eventually, daylight broke and the shadow beasts were forced back into their evil lairs. By then it was too late, and the Beasts had killed both Aisha's and her friend's parents. Aisha's siblings had vanished in the battle. Without any other option, The Council sent Aisha away to a small, out-of-the-way town where she would be safe, for if the princess died, she would be required to step up and take control of the throne, there being no other heirs. Tired of her boring life in town, Aisha joined the Beast's Bane to get even with the beasts for killing her relatives and to take action.

Species: Elf

Appearance: Slender and lightly built. She has reddish wavy hair that she keeps in many braids and a head band with several symbols cut into it. Small emerald beads are on the tips of each braids. She has stormy gray eyes that seem to have a wall behind them. She wears a dark green tunic, brown pants and well worn leather boots. Her ears are slightly pointed and she has an aura of mystery about her. She has a scar in the shape of a crescent moon on her right hand. Hence she usually keeps a glove over it.

Personality: Her emotions are hidden somewhere deep inside her and are rarely seen. If you see her emotional or something it is deeply embarrassing for her. She is strictly logical as far as you can tell from the outside.

Main Weapon: Bow and arrows. Her bow has silver engravings that fade at dawn and begin to glow at night. The feathers of her arrows have a semi luminous quality.

Strengths: Nimble, quick thinking and can have lightning fast reactions. Excellent aim. If required she excels at hand to hand combat and most long range weapons.

Weaknesses: Not particularly strong. If fighting in close quarters with someone with a long range weapon (i.e. a long sword) she'll almost certainly tire quickly. If injured her scar tends to flare up practically finishing the job for her opponent. Her logic can get the best of her especially in emotional situations.

Past: She is princess to the royal family of a tribe of elves who lived in the mountains. Emotions are looked down on there hence her hiding of them. One harsh night in winter (nights were long then) a large army of orcs attacked and destroyed the area. She was badly injured but survived with her scar which serves as a cold reminder of all those lost. Seeking to destroy the beasts that destroyed her land she joined the Beast's Bane. She rarely acknowledges her royal past now.

Name: Erebus Silvae

Gender: Male

Age: 19 [In human years, probably over several hundred]

Species: Vampire

Appearance: Erebus has dark hair that he slicks back in a side-swept undercut. He has piercing scarlet eyes that are unusually mesmerizing. His skin is unnaturally pale compared to those of the human race, considering how he reigns during the nighttime due to the fact that he is of vampiric descent. He is relatively tall, and takes care to wear classy dressed up clothing that resembles those that live in the aristocracy. Like most other vampires, he has the signature double fangs. However, unlike others, he has two others that peak out from his bottom teeth when he has his mouth open. He has a tattoo of a bat with it's wings spread across his shoulder and back. Where the bat's wing tips ended, a snake begins to twist around his back and waist. It swerves up his stomach and up onto his chest. A shining silver necklace hangs around his neck, it's thin argent pieces intertwining with one another. He has a well built body, and does workouts often to keep in shape.

Personality: He is a chaotically good person in general. Though he despises beasts, he himself wouldn't mind having them reign by his side. The world is nothing but a competition to him, and he only rivals against beasts under the belief that it will prove that vampires are the superior race in this awful world. Erebus is arrogant and selfish, yet an overall humorous and sarcastic individual. Gets irritated easily, and is annoyed at anyone he deems inferior to himself.

Main Weapon: A scythe carved out of sharp ebony gem.

Strengths: Relies heavily on his weapon, but he can wield it with superiority. Erebus is unnaturally strong during the night, and can see without a problem in the darkness. Not only that, he is extremely good in melee contact due to the fact that it is the way he prefers to predator on his meals. He can fight melee, and relies on his teeth and claws to do so.

Weaknesses: The sunlight does not kill him, but it hurts when he stares directly into it. Erebus does not wear armor, because he deigns it too mundane for his taste. He has arachnophobia, and thirsts often for blood. However, due to his picky tastes, he only feeds on healthy humans. His unique fighting style is unnaturally slow, considering how he relies on brute strength rather than quick strikes and swift retreats. However, his arrogance should be his downfall. Usually, he is unable to best beasts in hand to hand strength combat, but when he does, it blows his ego out of proportion enough so that he will do something unnaturally dumb like attempt to hunt a pack of those monsters at a time. Erebus has no idea how to fight using knives.

Past: Born into a high class, aristocratic vampire family that wielded a lot of power and fear before the Beasts took over. Now, he roams the night alongside his egotistical family in an attempt to rid of all beasts so that they can claim all-power once more. Human blood spills free down his family line, and it splatters across the ground in dark circles.

Other: Scorpio. Relies on the strength part of his vampiric prowess instead of speed. Can extend his nails out to form feline-like claws that are able to shred through most metals. Has an odd liking directed towards snakes.

Appearance:

Helen has light purple eyes that seem to glow, but can turn red when she gets angry, hence her nickname 'Crimson'. She has black hair that stops just below her shoulders and pale white skin. She wears thick dark eyeliner that makes her eyes pop even more and dark red lipstick. She can be found, more often than not, wearing a black dress that stops at her knees and has silver trimmings. She has a small red metal rose attached to a silver chain that hangs around her neck and a red Ruby ring on get left middle finger. She also has a strap that leads to her back to a bag that holds a dark red machete. She also has a wooden stake (the irony) tucked into the side of her boots. She also (once again, ironically enough) has a large tattoo of angel wings covering her back.

Personality:

Helen is a quiet person, preferring to speak when spoken to. But if she knows you well enough or is comfortable around you she can be extremely sarcastic and has a very short temper. She can't deal with someone who is always on a high horse and is ruthless when it comes to killing. She doesn't like to kill humans, but it's tempted to often, and usually feeds off animals and calls herself a 'vegetarian' because of it. She is blunt and can be very cold in some situations, she usually can't deal with people showing emotions to her because she isn't good at comforting others.

Main Weapon:

She has a machete and two wooden stakes hidden in her boots.

Strengths:

Considering she is a vampire she has superhuman strength and speed. She is best at close combat and sneak attacks. She is quiet and moves in the shadows, which is why night is the best time for her. She doesn't burn in the sun, though she does get one heck of a sunburn sometimes. Helen has worked on eyesight to a large extent and it makes her able to see in the dark, but at the same time mess with her light vision.

Weaknesses:

Because she is a 'vegetarian', she isn't as strong as other vampires. Her senses, though more heightened than humans, aren't as good as normal vampires who feed off humans. She isn't good when it comes to long range attack and her accuracy is often way off. Her temper can also get her into big trouble sometimes.

Past:

She was born into a family of... Well, to put it plainly, killers. She doesn't want to be like them, even though when it comes to beasts she can't control herself, she tries her best not to end up like her parents. They've massacred hundreds, which she hates. She was supposed to be the heir of her families business which was something along the lines of assassination. She ran away, not wanting to live like that. She wanted to choose her own destiny and make her own life. She won't say no if someone asks if she regrets anything. Helen has killed, that's one thing she'd never lie about, but she's now trying to help. She wants to make her own path in life, which is what she's working on now.

@queens Haven't roleplayed in a long time, but this roleplay caught my eye!

Name: Logann
Gender: Female
Age(18+): 19
Species: Human
Appearance: Logann has dark chestnut brown hair, which she usually keeps tied back in a sleek ponytail, and her eyes are a hue of a pale blue. A scar is etched near her shoulder blade which she recieved from a very young age. She is rather tall, standing at about 5 foot 12.
Personality: Others see Logann as very calm, aggresive, and versatile. However, she is somewhat hyper at times and very jumpy. She doesn't trust others easily, but once she gains your trust she becomes a very loyal and trustworthy companion. Logann is somewhat pushy and is very easy to anger.
Main Weapon: Throwing Knives/Daggers, or any knife-related weapon she can find.
Strengths: Logann has astounding stamina and endurance. She also is fairly strong and has a steady aim, therefore she decides to throw her knives at opponents.
Weaknesses: She is weak in close combat, and prefers to fight with some distance between who opponent. Logann is also slightly clumsy.
Past: Logann doesn't remember much about her family, but she knows many of her relatives had been murdered by beasts. She was left to fend on her own ever since she was young.

Species: 50% Elf 50% Vampire

Appearance: Oddly long ears even for someone with elven blood. The skin get thin near the ends so when she's embarrassed they can turn a stunning shade of red. They are slightly pointed. Her hair emerald green but shifts color at night turning semi silver depending on how full the moon is. Although she's half and half when it comes to elf and vampire heritage, her teeth are only very slightly pointed. She usually wears her hair in a braid. She usually wears a maroon tunic that flutters at the ends, brown pants, and well worn boots that are pretty silent when she moves. She wears a belt with gold and silver symbols written on it. Her eyes are green during the day but turn a vibrant violet at night.

Personality: Quiet, caring, and can be shy. If you attack someone she cares for though, she can quickly become furious and will hunt down the attacker until the end. Despises her vampire heritage and associates more with elves. She masks the vampire part of her and most people don't realize that she's part vampire.

Main Weapon: Sword with a on the dragon hilt. It has emeralds for eyes. She straps throwing knives to her belt that each have a small dragon carving on their handle.

Strengths: Her unusually long ears gift her with superb hearing even for an elf. She can drink blood for sustenance though she doesn't appreciate doing that. She has super human speed and strength at night.

Weaknesses: Her hearing makes her very sensitive to sudden loud noises and can leave her shaken at noises most people consider only moderately loud or normal. She has a habit of once a month going into a phase of "blood lust" where she feels obliged to bite and drain anyone friend or foe. She has only moderately higher than normal strength and speed during the day and it is weaker if she doesn't succumb to her monthly blood lust.

Past: Was raised with a nomadic tribe of elves. She almost attacked and drained one of her closest friends during a blood lust period. She then vowed to hide her vampire side and joined the Beast's Bane for a fresh start.
