What should I do?

Now I've had a chance to calm down a little, I'd like some advice on how to handle a situation.

So, yesterday (my time), I was minding my own business, bidding on auctions for a recent Seasonal Creature that I had failed to obtain by the "easy" methods, despite spending 3 days trying. Yes, I bumped the price up a couple of thousand a couple of times, but I was busy multitasking with real life stuff, and couldn't sit constantly upping it by the 1 it was programmed to do.

When the creature reached about 20K, I got a message the basically read "Really want a "creature" so could u not bid so high on the "creature"?".

Is there anything I should do about this?

For the record, I did win that particular auction for about 35K. A previous one went for about 40k, the other one I was bidding on until I won went for 135K, and the only price in the trading house is 1mil, so the 20k I had bid up to when I got the message, was perfectly reasonable, which is why I was so shaken by the attack on what I considered perfectly acceptable behaviour.

I need some clarification. What do you mean by message? Was it from a player or the system?
(Lol, I'm not trying to mini Mod, I'm just trying to help. XP)

stuff like that is annoying, but I wouldn't worry about it. auctions are fair game for everyone and you can bid as often and as much as you want. If they get nasty about it, block them.

It was another player, with an account several months old.

That is roughly about where I was sitting, and I ignored it, more for my well being, than anything.

Hmm... I don't think this is cause for alarm. The user probably doesn't really mean it, and a few, extremely kind users actually do stop bidding, so users do try their luck.
This actually happens quite frequently, believe it or not, but usually users don't actually do anything. I've seen people begging, people yelling, and people like this who are, I think, on the low end of the spectrum.
Just ignore it. It usually just goes away. If they persist, just do what cartel suggests or send a ticket if this happens often.

I reread, and it makes more sense now. This sorta thing happened to a friend recently, and I went to their profile, and told them to stop behaving that way. They quit talking to my friend like that, and I'm pretty sure they hate me now, but, it was worth it. 100% worth it.

Auctions are free game so you can place whatever bid you like. Please report such behaviour when it happens because it's definitely better than letting users continuously do this and upsetting others.

If they are rude about it, please provide a screenshot (just in case it's deleted).

I do hope it doesn't happen again.

Thing is it wasn't only the 2 of us bidding, there was other people bidding as well. For 10 or 20 minutes before I received my message, I wasn't even the highest bidder. So either I was singled out, or multiple people where sent the same thing.

@flowerlynx
Part of me is laughing so hard at them. Part of the persons profile is how they will block you if they hear bad things about you, or for the way you act. Part of me is still (possibly irrationally) outraged that they had the hide to try to control my actions, because as I put above, it wasn't just the 2 of us battling it out in the auction, there were others as well.

Plus it wasn't like I was hoarding a million of the creatures, the one they so desperately wanted, is the only one I managed to get from at least 4 auctions I took part in.

That is very rude. If it happens again, y'know, I can always let them know not to do it, for you. 😸

As I still have the message, do I need to add anything else to the report, or can it be traced from the message ID?
