The Flame -Warriors RP-

Their were once the five clans by the lake, SkyClan, ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, and WindClan, but then, leaf-bare struck, one of the harshest ones the clans had ever seen, but this one was different, because when it was time, new-leaf did not come, it stayed leaf-bare. Prey was freezing and dieing, cats with short fur could not stay warm enough. The chill showed no signs of stopping, and cats forgot what grass was like, their paws knowing only the snow. RiverClan was the first to die off, because of the frozen over lake, their main prey source of fish was gone. Few WindClan cats lived, and most left to join forest territories to protect them from harsh cold winds and snow storms. The clan's that lived in more forest-base territories, such as ThunderClan, ShadowClan, and SkyClan, did the best, although things were still rough. Cats with short pelts kept dyeing, so through natural selection, after time their were only long furred cats left. Also, to improve survival, only cats with brown, grey, silver, black and white pelts were allowed to breed, as all other colors stuck out way to much and scared off the small amount of prey that their was. This made it so that over time, their were only these color of cats. It has been thousands of years now, and the only remains of their old life is the warrior code.They have now formed IceClan. The cats have all evolved to live longer without food, to have extra thick coats, and longer claws to dig through snow. But now...change may be coming

IceClan things- (A lil extra info you may need on IceClan)
- White, Silver, and pale gray cats are the day hunters, light brown cats hunt during the day but must learn to stick close to the trees, dark brown, dark grey, and black cats are night hunters, and the dark brown cats must also learn to stick close to the trees.
- if a kit is born with a pelt to short or colors to bright, it shall be killed by a quick, painless blow (The blow is given by the medicine cat, but if a mother requests, she may be the one to do it). This is prevent it suffering a slow death in the harsh enviroment. (Some queens are know to leave these kits in two-leg place to become kitty-pets, but this is frowned upon greatly, as then the kit well never enter StarClan if raised as a kittypet, and as most twolegs now don't take in kittypets.)
-If a kit is born with mostly colors that blend in, but marks that do not (example- White fur with some light orange stripes) It well be up to the mother of the kit weather to let the kit live, and if the kit can survive and provide for the clan they are able to stay and live. However, if they can not provide for the clan well enough, they well be cast out. Their ability to provide for the clan is tested when an apprentice is to become a warrior.
- These cats are very spiritual, and it is heavily frowned upon if you don't believe in StarClan
-The Medicine cat still goes to the Moonpool every half moon
-Instead of gathering with the other clans, during the full moon, the clan gathers together at night and the leader well give a speech of some sort, thanking StarClan and giving updates. Cats well share tongues and talk about what they are greatful for.
- Elders are very respected in the clan, as very, very few clans live to become elders.
-They use the old ThunderClan camp as it is the best protected, but the cats territory expands all around the lake.

---Dawn is just now breaking, it is half moon today. The night hunters well be returning about now to wake the daytime hunters and to get some rest. It is a warmish day (warm to them, their of course is still snow on the ground and its freezing) the sky is pretty clear. Current issues in IceClan are the lack of any queens. Also that Dusktail has to mentor four Nighthunting apprentices as he is the only Nighthunting warrior. Another worry of the clan is that the medicine cat is starting to get old and no cat is yet his apprentice. The Season is SoftSnow. ---

{Moonpaw}
I yawned as I started my way back to camp, feeling so tired I felt like my paws might just fall off. Dawn light was just starting to break as I entered camp with a nice thick-bodied sparrow in my jaws. I was rather proud of the catch. The bird had never even seen me coming in the shadows! I laid it down into the fresh-kill pile, then slunk off to the apprentice den. I saw Mistpaw sleeping peacefully, so of course I quickly pounced on her tail and yowled loudly in her ear, "Time to get up, lazy-bones!"

{Snowburn}
I hissed from inside the warriors den, I could hear Moonpaw's yowl that for sure was meant to wake up Mistpaw, however, i'm sure it woke up nearly half the clan. I felt my sister Lavenderfur rise beside me also, her eyes foggy with sleep.

{Lavenderfur}
"Is it already time to get up?" I meowed while yawning. "It feels like i've hardly slept a bit!"

{Blackfawn}
I sat outside the medicine den, watching the NightHunters come back with their catches. I'd been up for a while now, I hadn't gotten any sleep last night. I've been feeling strange lately. I feel like i'm anticipating something big, but what I did not know. My paws were keen to walk to the moonstone tonight. In fact, having to wait till tonight made me feel like I had fleas in my pelt. I could tell something important was going to happen. It was just one of those medicine cat feelings.

Lunafall padded into the clearing. Two mice dangled from her mouth. "It's the best I could do," she said with her mouth full. "SoftSnow has brought more prey, but not much."

Iceshard yawned. Did he hear Lunafall's meow? He quickly dashed out of the warrior den, and brushed his tail across Lunafall's flank. She glanced at him skeptically before hurrying to the fresh kill pile. Iceshard's tail drooped. Would Lunafall ever love him back? he wondered.

I walked outside the warriors den slowly and headed toward the apprentice den were my apprentice Mistpaw had been rudely awoken by Moonpaw. I sat down outside of it and waited for her to come out. While waiting I thought back to the day she had become my apprentice. I had been a very young warrior at the time, and I remembered that I had been slightly excited. Slightly excited was a big deal for me, as i'm not excited very easily. I had chosen to be Mistpaw's mentor because I understood what it was like to have undesired colors on my pelt. My russet red sure can stand out in a forest of white, but I learned how to cope well with it and became one of the best mouse hunters of the clan. I'd been chosen to mentor Mistpaw in hopes that I could help her overcome her orange stripes that stood out.

"Blackfawn," Iceshard started. "Lunafall has a scratch on her flank when she was hunting, and it's dripping blood all over the snow."

Lunafall glared at him from a distance. "I'm fine," she snapped. "It doesn't hurt anyways." Clearly she needed help- blood welled from the wound, and all over camp there were red splotches where the blood had dropped. She sighed- she wasn't going to get away with this wound. She padded towards the medicine den against her will.

I yawned. "Already? I was having a great dream!" I then realized that I had woken up myself. I padded outside where I found warriors waking up. It was warm, but still there was snow on the ground, as always. It was just a bit warmer than usual. Ahhhhhh..., I thought. Good day today.

Iceshard padded away from the medicine den. "How is your day?" he asked. "Thank StarClan we have prey today." Yesterday, the pile was empty apart from the few mice and one squirrel, but that was it. Today, it seemed the fresh kill pile had doubled in size.

"Well! More prey!" I thought it was because it was warmer. "Good day, Iceshard. Looks like we are doing better then yesterday," I shivered, remembering the almost empty pile. There wasn't enough to feed most of the warriors. "Our Clan is big," I remarked. "Maybe a bit too big."

I also thought that the lake could only support 4 clans. But, what I didn't tell Iceshard is that she told me that a great leader named Firestar helped put the clan that was driven out back together. What a job!

Flamefrost

I yawned and scrambled up to my feet when I saw that I had woken up later than most cats. "Ugh, I'm dreading to see the fresh-kill pile." It had been small, and I didn't get the chance to eat yesterday. Plus, I was a bit bored. I was surprised when I saw that it had almost twice as much.

Wolfwind stretched as she stood up. Softsnow was bring them a relatively warm day, speaking relatively at least. She watched the nighthunters return, and bounded forwards to touch noses with her kin as the two apprentices walked in.

Ravenpaw and Smokepaw purred in response. Smokepaw beginning to talk about their hunting time. His eyes shining as he spoke.

"Firestar was a kittypet, wasn't he? Shadowclan kept accusing Thunderclan of non clanborn blood, but that's not fair- the best warriors are always those who are loyal, right?" Iceshard meowed. "But he was the greatest leader in history- I really want to meet him in StarClan, if he's still there." He dreamed of meeting the great leader, though knowing it would be a very rare chance. "And remember the Three?"

"Yes! The third was actually Dovewing! Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing. Mind reading, fighting, and hearing and seeing stuff far away. I hope..." I trailed off. "I don't exactly want to go to StarClan, but I just hope I see Firestar, former kittypet, and the Three there. Plus, Hollyleaf. She ran away from her own clan!"

I will always do this between cats, and with Leafstar first, then Flamefrost. Spaces.

I looked around, surprised. I knew that Firestar, the great Firestar, was a kittypet, but it seemed like Iceshard had read my mind. Oh well. I shrugged it off.

I totally forgot I was leader. I forgot about everything. All I could think of was finding Rock's stick. With Iceshard, I ran out of camp and started running across the territory.



I watched Leafstar and Iceshard run out of camp. I thought it looked very... suspicious. I padded out of camp, following their scent. I was careful to disguise my scent, as they forgot to do. But still, I wondered what they were doing.

Iceshard raced across the territory, careful enough to make sure no prey had been scared away. Crack! Iceshard whipped around. Was someone following them? He turned back, for all he wanted was to find that stick.

Lunafall began to wonder. Confined to the medicine den for a few days, her mind wandered. What was this herb? What was that cat doing? Why was the world so cold? She heard paws thud across the clearing. Why were Iceshard and Leafstar rushing out the camp? She growled- even with her wound, she would fight. That moment, she realized how much Iceshard meant to her.

Now I raced in the territory. I heard a crack. "Is anyone following us?" I whispered under my breath. But I wanted to find that stick. StarClan would show us the way.



I accidentally stepped on a stick, cracking it. I froze. Was I going to get caught? I hid behind a tree. They didn't see me. But I knew what they were doing now. I heard them. They were finding Rock's stick. It was a myth. A legend. Nobody knew if it was really real.

"Wow! I can't wait to go! Ashpaw just HAS to keep stepping on my tail when I'm in the Apprentice's den." I sigh and then cheer up. "Maybe I can hunt a mouse good enough for Leafstar. Where is she anyways?" I woke up Dusktail. Whoops!

"Can't you be quiet and let a night-hunter rest?" I ask Mistpaw. She looked sorry. Oh well, I guess I'll be ready for it next time. I go back and rest some more.

"Hmmm... a possibility. Well, lets go see the lake? What are you waiting for?" I meowed. The stick had to be there. Now the past swirled around me. The stick. Focus on the stick. It was probably frozen in the lake. It had to be.



I watched as Leafstar and Iceshard went to the lake. I walked over towards them, careful to not let them see me. To not expose myself. There had to be a time when I did, but that would be a long time. But maybe now. Now, I thought. Right now. I walked over to them, saying, "I wonder if the stick is actually there. But still, it had to." They whirled around.

I stalk in the snow looking at a small mouse. It was nibbling on something, unaware of me. This was my chance! I jump and purr-fectly catch the mouse. I buried it and heard something else. It was louder than a mouse. "What was that?" It could be a storm. I look around before continuing to hunt.
