Earth's Academy for All Species (Roleplay)

Have you ever looked at someone and thought that they were, you know...strange? Not in a bad way, but just...they were a little different? Well, did it ever occur to you that apart from humans, other species live on planet Earth? Vampires, witches, wizards, mermaids, werewolves, elves, fairies and others. If you had the choice, would you want to become one of them?

The sun was just hoverring over the horizon, as though it wasn't able to decide whether to stay in the sky or disappear. The Academy stood in th middle of a large forest, its golden gates opening to let in the new students that began to appear from the woods. Nathan turned into a bat and flew up to sit on the gate in an area just below the area that the rays of the sun touched. He watched as the sun slowly began to sink and his gaze began to brighten as he felt the air become cooler. He flew down to the ground and turned back into his vampire form, walked through the gates and into the courtyard. He saw that the doors of the Academy were still closed and decided to rest against the bark of an oak tree growing inside the courtyard. He looked over to the gates where he saw a shadowed figure peering into the grounds of the Academy and beckoned them over.

The figure walked over and turned out to be Elvira. She was wearing Nathan's long jacket and gripping it tightly in her shaking hands. She wandered over to him slowly and winced at every sound that she heard as she was still getting used to being free. The two had met previously in the woods where Elvira had escaped to with a fatal injury, and now she was slowly becoming a full vampire as Nathan had given her his blood to help her survive. Elvira stood beside Nathan and stared at the gate, still shaking slightly as she saw others approaching.

Rock stood on the floor, thinking very deep thoughts. Deep thoughts about rocks. Rocks were great. Is that a rock on the roof? He teleported right to Nathan and Elvira. They were probably not going to be happy. Not happy at all. He had just realized they were not a rock.

Evan had recently had his 11:00 meal. He was going to be shown to a school group coming to the zoo. His keeper was ecstatic, quite enthusiastic about school groups. As worrying as this may sound, he was quite calm when they arrived. First, they showed the snakes. Some kids got real antsy and nervous, so the keepers put the assorted snakes away. They were showing me off next! So, I showed them how i can change colors. I changed to the fleshy color of my keeper's arm, the deep green color of his shirt, and the royal blue color belonging to the walls. I have the opportunity. It is time to escape. The other keepers moved onto the smaller lizards. However, my keeper wasn't the keenest of people and kept looking for me. I had blended into the walls. I shot my web-tongue to the opposite side of the Reptile Hall, right above the door. I crawl through the doorway, into the fresh, steamy air. I was free. But, where was I?

Elvira jumped when she saw a rock appear in front of her. She stared at it with caution, then bent down to take a closer look. She smiled slightly when she was the crayon face on it and poked it to see if it moved.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Nathan said, also looking at the rock. "It just teleported, who knows what else it can do." He turned his attention back to the gate to watch more beings enter the grounds of teh Academy.

Elvira didn't listen to him and sat beside the rock with a small smile lingering on her face as she poked the rock again.

Evan crawls across the exterior of the Reptile Hall. He can see, at his height, swarms of kids doing slightly irrational activities, sparse but towering trees, and squirrels. He counts 19 just within his view of the park. He considers climbing one of the bridging tree branches, but the squirrels seem... disturbing. Alien. He is cautious to them, and gets flat out terrified when he sees one eat an acorn. Evan quickly scurries back onto the roof of the Reptile Hall. He considers taking a different exploratory route: the fences. Evan makes his way down to the fences, blends in, and starts his trek.

Cherry wanders the school halls, asking people if this is wonderland and then giggling madly. Little do people know her machine gun is slipped near her spine. Cherry always felt a strong connection to the gun. The school bell rings. Cherry walks to her first specialist class, Metal and How to Control It. She takes a seat near the window, and she secretly unscrews the screws on her nemesis' seat.

Umber explored the large hallways of the Academy. She wasn't used to the place at all, but she was still trying to get in touch with the surroundings. She grabbed her wand, creating a light orb at th tip as it began to get a bit darker as she approached the part of the Academy in which magicians, witches, sorcerers, and wizards usually hang out. They were all pretty ok people, since they all have magic, which is pretty uncommon nowadays.

She eventually ran off to her first class which was learning about the fundementals of magic. Umber already knew magic from her literature and family, but it didn't hurt to tie up loose ends and learn even the smallest things. She took a seat at the very front, and removed her hat. More and more students eventually entered, until it was almost full.

Oku walked into the school, his expression stern as he concnetrated on the magical energy within the school. He turned and entered a classroom which was full of wizards and witches as well as other sorcereres. He took a deep breath and entered the class, taking a seat next to a witch. He observed her for a minute, looking at her short brown hair and mostly dark outfits, then her wand and witch's hat.

Sasha falls onto the floor, her chair folding in on itself. Sasha is the hot and popular girl. She is secretly a demon in disguise. Not literally, but she definitely acts like one. She breaks best friends' trust, ruins people's reputations, humiliates people publicly and so on. But she never gets expelled or suspended, because her mother is the Chairman of the School Board.

Back to the present: The screws were my doing, but the chair folding was Adrian's doing. Adrian has been hitting on me since last year, but he still seems so lame. His skills are good, but his attitude his horrible. He grins at me and I roll my eyes in return. Summer seems eons away.

(I made the school a "school board" type of school. Is that ok?)

Nathan decided to walk into school once the amount of people entering the school decreased. He stood up, looked at the sky and then at Elvira who was still trying to get the rock to respond. "Drop that rock, and let's go." Nathan said, turning away to walk towards the Academy.

Elvira pouted but placed the rock back on the ground and scurried back to walk slightly behind Nathan. As they entered the school, Elvira looked around at the walls where paintings of magical beings from Legends. She felt a strong source of magic all around her and shuffled closer to her only friend, Nathan, as they wlaked around the labyrinth halls of the Academy.

Amber finally walked out of the forest and saw the beautiful academy. She passed through other students of other species, yet she didn't sense anyone else of her type. When she walked onto the building, but soon lost her way as the halls were crowded with others and she didn't know which class she was supposed to go into.

After five minutes of searching, she saw a garden, but the glass doors to it were closed. It was a rose garden with a crystal clear fountain in the center. She longed to go, but then she heard a slamming sound. She vent to investigate with at it was.

Box was just... being a box. A gust of wind swept them off the ground and through the halls of the academy. Box stayed clear of the other beings, but accidentally hit a brown-haired someone. They fell with a thump in front of the person, upside-down.

Box's first day of school was going, how you say? Wonderful.

As Evan was climbing the fence, he noticed a quite interesting car. It was a Volkswagen Bug. Now, Evan loves bugs. This car, if a bug, was a seemingly delightful treat by ear. But upon closer inspection, he noticed it was just another car. Convoluted humans. He was quite tired, so he took a nap on top of this "bug". An awful, screeching sound woke him up: the gates were closing. His zoo! Locked out of his own zoo! He was still on the car, and people were still pouring out of the exit. An elderly family was approaching him; Evan thought to himself, "I can't stay on here forever!" so Evan crawls down from on top of the car and blends in with the deep gray asphalt. It was quickly dawning to him that his seek of a new home wouldn't be so run-of-the-mill and catered as the zoo was. He was getting quite hungry, and began lurking around the parking lot. He spotted a slice of tomato wrapped in greasy paper. Evan loves tomatoes! He quickly scurried across the parking lot to the tomato and engulfed it. As he looked up from his tomato scraps and the greasy, messy wrapping paper, he was in front of a gloomy, dark, and frightening forest. It seemed his best option, as he hated the zoo and didn't want to return. Without looking back, he shoots a web to a tree branch and starts another mysterious trek.


Little does Evan know, as he wanders upon the tree branches, he is being examined. Evan gets suspicious when the whole forest quiets, the crickets deaden, the flies stop buzzing, and all you can hear is a very small gust of the wind. WHOOSH! Evan quickly blends into the trees, but it is too late. There is something breathing right in front of him, poking him. An owl peers upon his trembling body. Evan gazes upward for just a second, to examine the threat. The owl peers down at Evan for just a second more before saying "Don't fear, I won't eat you." Evan is eerily confused. The owl continues querying him, "Are you different, like me?" Evan is still slightly trembling, but he nods. He shoots out a web, to prove. "You should continue heading north, up there." Evan is unsettled, still, by the unusual encounter. He takes the owl's advice, however, and scurries onward, using the moonlight seeping through the trees to guide his journey.

Amber saw that there was a muscular, tall boy as he looked around the age of 20. He had a square face and was very bulk. In his right hand was a younger, skinnier boy that looked like a wizard against a locker. Amber recognized the bully as a giant, one with control of fire based on the heat. (Amber is very good at telling what others are and sometimes what powers they have) He slammed the younger boy against the lockers again, creating a loud bang. Amber looked around, and saw a flower pot. She summoned a vine to hold the giant back, but nothing happened. Then a tall lady with gray hair and glasses in a formal dress walked towards her and told Amber that powers were disabled in the hallways, for there shouldn't be any fighting, as she tore the giant and the younger boy apart and called Hector, the giants name, into her office.

Umber noticed someone sit next to her, she turned towards them for a bit, before turning back and reading a magic book from her bag in an attempted to ignore a conversation. She didn't hate anybody, but she didn't want to talk to anyone for now. What she wants to do is tie up loose ends, and then talk to people. One word spoken can make her miss even the tiniest magic information.

When Evan woke, it was soon to be dawn. He fell asleep on a tree, camouflaged in fear of predators. In the light of day, Evan could see a slight unusuality in the forest; what appeared to be a perfectly circular valley with a pure quartz-metallic building. He pondered what the owl had led him to; was it a testing chamber? Was it a research lab? No normal animal could've built something this complex; humans had to be involved. Still fixated on the aura of curiosity surrounding the eerily unnatural sight, he kept heading north. As he made it out of the trees and into the opening, he saw a set of golden gates leading inside. There was a giant plaque that read "Earth's Academy for All Species". Well, Evan certainly was a species of some sort, so he headed closer. The golden gates automatically opened, welcoming him in. The aura of wonder and curiosity was strong, and Evan crawled into the building. As he laid his feet upon the fancy flooring, the golden gates shut behind him, sending a surge, an aftertaste of dread into his bite of curiosity that was the Academy.

And there was Rock. Late for his class, in the hallway. A small rock. "This is fun." he thought. He saw Evan. Hopefully that Chameleon wouldn't sit on Rock. Chameleons were annoying to rocks

@togepi360 Evan looked down the hallway and saw a small rock, with a crude yet cute smiling face on one side. "There must be a reason this rock is here", Evan thought. Curious yet again, he followed the rock, careful not to threaten it. He walked up to the rock and shot a web onto the wall, making intricate text out of silk, saying "WhERE aRE WE going".

Cherry was sent to the hallway although there was no evidence to suggest that she did it. She saw a rock and a chamele-arachnid communicating. She picked up the rock, which had a crude yet cute smiley face on it. "Cute" she said. She placed the rock in her pocket. "Mine" she said to nobody in particular. She stalked off.

@togepi360 Amber looked at the slip of paper she had in her hand, her first class was a couple of turns away. She found it and opened the polished door, and the classroom looked like any other, except the items placed around the shelves and tables. She found an empty desk, placed her backpack pn the ground and took out her books as she sat down and looked around. She saw some faces she saw in the halls, but she knew no one. THen she noticed a rock, and was confused, but she didn't mind.

Evan saw a girl walking down the hallway. There had been mishaps regarding his (maybe) friend Rock, but he oddly teleported back. Curious, confused, but yet once again, curiosity won. He started following this girl down the hallway, expecting more wonders and surprises.

Cherry walked towards her class's door. She knocked. "I have thought about my actions and I regret doing this. Sorry, Sasha." she said in monotone. She walked back to her seat. The teacher continued his lecture. "Types of metal are better for some things. For example, if you want a strong sword, don't use bronze.
Bronze is too soft." She concentrated on ripping a piece of metal from her desk and molding it into mini dress designs midair. She decided that she would wear a metal dress tomorrow.

Rock followed Evan. Where was he going? Oh no, the Rock kidnapper! He teleported away, leaving a nice gray pebble for Evan. He'll come back when class was over.

A gust of wind swept Box off the ground again, the result of many hurrying students running past them. Whizzing past multiple people, they arrived in front of the classroom door. A student kicked them, how nice of them, into the classroom and on a desk.

Their teacher, a wizard, went on as if nothing happened. He was teaching the class about defense spells. Box was doing their usual thing, staring into people's soul and being a box.

Box likes spells.

When Amber's class was over, she continued to the next class. She took out the slip. It read "Proper Use of Abilities". SHe didn't know what it was but she guessed she would have to do it. She arrived at the corresponding number on the paper, and looked to see that everybody was outside. There was a dirt field, surrounded by springs of water, flaming torches, and electricity generator and more. Next to the field was the garden Amber had saw. "Welcome to Proper Use of Abilities," said a witch. Amber recognized her as the one in the hallway with glasses who had told her and Hector that powers were disabled in the halls, and had told them to stop fighting.

@wigglytuff @togepi360 Evan kept following the girl with Rock's left pebble on his back. They went into a-a classroom? There was seemingly a witch at the front desk in that room. When he crawled in, she brought attention to him, saying "Why is a chameleon here?", which started muttering amongst the students. Evan frantically scurried onto the board, determined to distinguish himself. The witch seemed stern and was very much judging his entrance, so he wanted to web their attention to him. He spun a web from his tongue, spelling out, "i Am EVAn'' on the board. Everyone sat there, stunned, looking at him, just for a second. He used that time to shoot a web to an empty desk, and swung to it, and stared intently at the witch of a teacher.

"... and that's how you cast a shield. Now, Box will demonstrtae for us." The wizard said, pointing his wand and Box. It was rude to point. Somebody grabbed box and turned them around to face the teacher.

"Now box, how do you cast a shield?" He asked. Box just stared into his soul. "uh, Box..?" They kept staring. "Box, please-" STARE. "BOX. OFFICE. NOW."

What a nice guy.

In class, everybody was paired up to someone random to fight, and they could use the surrounding things to help. Amber waited anxiously as she was next; she watched an elf battle a wizard. The elf ended up winning, and amber was nervous. She was paired up with someone familiar: hector. But she didn't mind, she wanted to see what he could do.
