The "potential topic" section is just an idea to help you get started writing. The idea for this creature is "nostalgia." Its not something that you have to follow, its just a helpful thing. Some people find it easier to write if they have a topic to write about.

The meaning of nostalgia:
-a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.
"I was overcome with acute nostalgia for my days in college"
synonyms: reminiscence, remembrance, recollection; wistfulness, regret, sentimentality; homesickness

Its not really sadness.
