Jaela leaned on the walll to stop herself from falling over. She muttered something about "going out for a fly..." and hurled herself off the edge of the cave-cliff.


Malen sat down.

Lark sat next Malen. "What should we do now?" She asked him.

Jaela caught herself just before she hit the bottom and soared along the bottom of the canyon.

"Now that we're back, Lyon and Jaela might carry out their plans. We have to stop them." Lark mummers.

"We have to." Malen stood. "I'll talk to Lyon. You go find Jaela."

Lark sighs. "The last time I talked to her she threatened to kill me, I hope this works out." Lark flies out of the cave and searches for Jaela.

Raina yawned, "Right here with you. Travel takes a lot out of me as it's not my main power. Did everyone leave us?"

(Sorry this is loooong)
Lark is flying over the trees looking for Jaela. She spots two figures down below. One is Lyon and the other appears to be a human child.
Lyon stumbled across a human child. It must have gotten lost. He pulls out his dagger and gets ready to attack until Lark lands behind him.
"Lyon? What's going on?" Lark asks.
"This child seems to have gotten lost, I'm going to take care of it." He says with a smile.
She glances at the dagger in his hand.
“Ah no, it’s okay. I’ll take him back to the city.” She says, standing in between Lyon and the child. She grabs the child’s hand and begins walking away.
“Wait.” Lyon says, beginning to use his power. “The child is a threat and must be dealt with.”
Lark stops moving and feels her mind going fuzzy.
“Get rid of it before it gets us” He says, soothingly
Lark faces the child and pulls out her sword.
Lark regains consciousness and glances at her hands. Her hands are stained crimson and the child lays dead at her feet. She screams. “What happened!”
“The child tried to attack you, you were just defending yourself.” Lyon lies.
Lark glares at him. “That’s a lie, if I were defending myself I would knock them out or something. Not kill them!”
“You had no other choice.” He says softly.
Lark feels her mind going fuzzy again. “Why does that happen every time you talk?” She asks weakly.
“What do you mean?” Lyon smiles.
Lark thinks for a moment. “Did-did you make me do this?”
“Of course not.”
“You can manipulate people, can’t you?”
Lyon narrows his eyes and doesn’t answer.
“Have you been manipulating the others this whole time?”
Lyon laughs. “Who knows.” He says slyly.
Lark becomes worried. “You don’t really want to create a better world for avians, do you!”
Lyon smirks. “Of course not. I’m going to create a new world where I’m on top, one that unfortunately you will not be apart of.”
Fear shoots through Lark’s body. She gets ready to take off until she hears Lyon softly say. “Don’t go yet.”
Her mind slowly becomes clouded.
“Drop your weapon.”
She lets go of her sword and Lyon picks it up. “It’s a shame.” He says. “You could’ve been so useful.”
Lark feels a sharp stabbing pain in her chest, snapping her out the trance. But, it’s too late, the world around her starts fading to black.
Lyon pulls out the blade and throws it into a nearby river. He dumps the child’s body into a small ditch and washes the blood off of him. He rushes back to Jaela’s cave. “Lark’s been murdered!” He exclaims, out of breath. “I think a human got to her, I was too late.”

She glances up at him, clearly suspicious.
(Is it okay she doesn’t really believe him?)
“That’s terrible!” She folded her wings back and put her hand over her mouth, acting to be shocked.

Malen stands up, extremely suspicious. He discreetly(nobody notices him doing this) examines Lyon. He seemed out of breath and there were extremely faint patches of orangish coloring on his clothes. He assumed those were from some food. "Mind if I go check out the 'crime scene'?" Malen spread his wings and flew to where he knew Jaela would be. On a rock stack that reached high above the ground. "Jaela?" He said, folding his wings. She sat on the ground with her hands wrapped around her knees. She muttered something over and over very quietly, Something Malen couldn't hear. "Are you alright?" He sat down by her.

(anyone have an extra 4 chocos i can use? I can repay you with 1,000 EC each choco)

She spreads her wings, fully awake by now, and flies to a rock and sits there.
“Hmm.. a human murdering her right off the bat..”
She looks right at him as if searching him for somthing. “He’s hiding somthing..”
Nova remembers in her sleep them saying she went after Jaela.. She teleports to Reiana and whispers this in her ear.. "We might be in trouble.."
(You mean Chocolate thingys? I have ten, you can have 'em.)

Lyon notices that not everyone believes him entirely. He walked up to the rest of the group. "Hey, why did Lark leave the cave in the first place?" He asks.

She sits down next to Raina. "She went after Jaela." She said shortly, but with no hint of nervousness. "Where were you..?"

Raina whispers to Nova, "What happened? Lark's dead. How did the humans kill one of us so quickly!" She pushes herself up, feeling sadness wash over her. Even though she didn't know Lark for long, she still cared about her.(she trusts lyon because it was just her, lyon, and jaela in the beginning)

After a conversation with Jaela involving tears and punches, Malen and Jaela flew back to the cave. "I mean, Lark was annoying, and she didn't seem like one to purposefully bug a human. She was against this from the start." Jaela looked around.

"What else did we miss?" Malen asked.
