The ability to edit topic titles

We can edit posts so why shouldn't we be able to edit topic titles? It would be great because when something has been traded and the topic is no longer needed, people could edit the topic to 'closed' or 'trading completed'- therefore people dont have to click on a thread just to find that it is over and mods might be able to tell and delete it to stop cluttering of boards. It would also help if you changed something in your post and it didn't fit the title anymore, like if I posted 'I have 50 travels for trade!' and then I traded half of them, I could always add on (25 left) or something. What do you think?

Lizardfeathers idea:
We can't change the original name but we can add on to it 😊

@lyricgeek that is a good idea 😊 support.

i also think moderators and ian (not regular eggcavers) should be able to close topics, as in delete them :

@lola622f
Hmm....Maybe he can also add the ability to search for topic by their titles or people who made it? 😊

@lyricgeek

I'm just saying, but if you change the title people might not know which topic it is

@angel_star
How about Ian makes it that you can search for threads for topic titles or thread made by a specific person- then, if you remember the author's name you can just type it in and find it πŸ˜ƒ

@lyricgeek

how about if you can't remember it? Or they have like 3 different topics in one category going on at the same time? (Please don't think I'm annoying by saying this, but.....)

If you really wanted to know then you could just look through all their topics xD You could always write down the board's id? xD

I agree. I like this idea, and I think it makes sense that if the content of your post changes, you should be able to change the topic as well.

This isn't a good idea. :/ People would be changing the topic title every post so it 'fits the content of the topic'. It would be way too confusing. If people are having a conversation on a certian topic, they will usually remember the title, and if they lose it, all they have to do it click on 'My recent posts' underneath the Forums button. And when Zac posted... I don't think he was supporting...

how about everytime you change a topics name it gives a message to all the people who have posted in it.

That would be really annoying to the people who don't want to be a part of the topic anymore. :/

I'm not angry. O_O I'm just saying I think it isn't a good idea and stating reasons why. That's not being angry.
