hi egg

you may or may not remember eggcavity, which was super awesome and also no longer with us. well have no fear, i have decided to compile all items and creatures into one big spreadsheet and slap those spreadsheets on a site. a very filterable site.



i've been working on this for the past week and it's basically done, so feel free to peruse at your leisure. i gathered all this information by myself, so i might have missed some things. feel free to contact me
if you have suggestions or issues ping me or PM me with "Cavegg" somewhere in the subject line.

faq
: "wow myriadium this is so cool, is there any ANY way i can support you, possibly with a large sum of money wired into your bank account" - you can support me by feeding my feed list and clicking the click exchange because i need my izalavs to evolve already
: "why does the site look so plain" - i don't know how to code, unfortunately, so aesthetics will not be addressed (for now)
: "will you make a wishlist feature" - i wanted to but the programming was a lot more complicated than i thought, so unfortunately i won't be working on that until i probably graduate or something shoutout to @sapphire12 for making the wishlist feature so i don't have to hehe

update 19FEB
with the return of eggcavity (visit it today: https://eggcavity.com/) i've been deeply considering continuing cavegg. i've decided that i'm still gonna do it lol because i rlly like spreadsheets. however! i greatly recommend eggcavity's travel try on feature cus it's honestly so useful! i'll still be trying to code my own reverse try on 😊

update 14OCT
: I've given editing abilities to the travel database (w all the alphabetical sortings) to @chaotictreat. while I won't be updating it myself, she will still be able to add new travels, so that's nice!
: I've added a 'blog post database' for all your archival needs. the descriptions are a little messy with the formatting but you should be able to search for specific texts within the blogs, if you were ever haunted by a piece of eggcave history. tags are still a work in progress but imma be real 2k+ posts means it'll be very slow lol

: i've finally added a travel try-on! it's a little janky looking but it works! everyone check it out (preferably on desktop) 😊 https://sites.google.com/view/cavegg/dressing-room

WHAT'S NEXT?
: if there's interest, i can see if i can implement a "reverse" travel viewer where you just scroll down all the pictures of the travels with the creature image superimposed on it. we'll see!

My doubt has been uno reversed on me. THE MAD LAD DID IT AFTER WEEKS OF DEDICATION, I CAN APPROVE!!! WE LOVE YOU FOR THIS!! AND WE WILL SUPPORT (well not by feeding or giving you money but yk, going to the website 24/7) 🤠🤠🤠 guys, use this website on all ur devices 💯🤫

Awesome!! I love the simplicity (I too loved eggcavity but sometimes certain parts wouldn't load right for me). I'm unreasonably happy that you include item descriptions. 😊
... I was about to post before realizing I hadn't checked out the creature tab yet. The creatures have links to their archive page! That's so cool!

@myriadium EEEEEEEEKK! A travel try-on that allows using 'hidden' creature stages! That's the one thing that frustrates me about using the Item Database here for try-ons, like even if I have the creature I can't properly search for a good travel if stages are hidden. Thank you!

@myriadium Oooh! These updates are super exciting! I was already finding fun new combinations on the creatures with travels just randomly testing it out (and it was working fine on my little tiny economy tablet.)

Only snag I had is when I tried directly typing in the changing room link at first it tried making me log-in with my Google account. But it worked just fine from the home page.)

And Yeeeeeeees, I would be absolutely interested in a full "reverse" travel display. Or full page ones. It helps pick out a travel so much easier seeing the choices all at once. (I don't know how much of a drain on data that is though.) But your page is already working a LOT less clunky than the on-site one here. It was soooo smooth switching between travels and creatures! I love it *bawling emoji*

@snowywinter that's great that it works on your tablet! i was quite worried about how the html would look on the phone so i recommended that everyone uses desktop mode to use the dressing room.

as for your issues, i personally haven't encountered it when i'm in incognito, it's possible that you caught me when i unpublished the site because i had to make some changes haha

i'll be looking into a reverse travel display!
