Can someone explain what Item Rarity means?I thought it meant the restock percentage but I keep running into the same r99 stuff.

Hi @zinny! Like it was discussed here and also here on Player Guide the more rare an item is, the less the chance you have to find it in the shop because it does not restock as often as common items, so you got it right. The reason you keep running into the same r99 stuff is, probably (I really have no idea, just a guess) they have a percentage of rare items that can be restocked and probably the r99 items are chosen randomly so it can definitely happen for the same r99 item to be chosen multiple times even if it's randomly.Oh, and like it was already said, they also cost more 😃
Thank you! I'm having a hard time searching for things on the forums 😋I did read the player guide, but I got confused because the virtually unobtainable items aren't as rare as I expected them to be. But to be fair, I have been living in the shops lol

@zinnyAfter a few years of being here I still feel like the rarity values are arbitrary. Like when the algorithm feels like putting a certain item out it's just going to do it. lol.(until recently, I noticed that certain items I collected only showed up about once a month for 4-5 days and it was pretty predictable when it would be. now, the past couple months it seems completely random. ..which to me seems like how it should have been all along. ...but it's frustrating after having gotten in the habit of searching for items on certain days. lol. In the name of fairness I'll get used to it though.)The exception is r100 to distinguish retired items. And that actually serves a function around the site of how objects are treated/behave. (i.e. not restocking in the site shops, propagating in the Donations Center, certain items being reusable.)
