If you think animals matter, than surely humans who endure the same treatment deserve to be saved!

I'll look at it when I go on my laptop

I only have meat and chicken when I go somewhere and that's like on special occasions or something😋 (my family's vegetarian) (and so is my school😋)

But I'll watch the video and see how I look at things then😊

@n@ Didn't watch the entire thing, just had breakfast...

I just spent 30 minutes trying to decide what to post here, couldn't decide.

Yes, it's awful, but this isn't going to turn me into a full vegan. When I live on my own I'll only eat meat on special occasions and buy milk and eggs from farms, for now I'm stuck with my parents' eating habits though =.=

I think they could have told more about the fish though, since it's not just painful for the fish, the fishing industy is ruining all ecosystems on the seabed...

Okay, I am not saying this to be mean or support their cruelty, I've been vegetarian most of my life (because meat makes me ill) but you know spreading the word about this will not stop people eating it... Humans bodies need meat to prevent illness and build muscle instead of fat (yes you can still put on weight without meat), what you would be better off doing is being against animal cruelty, not not eating meat. There are many meat brands that are against animal cruelty and do things in a humane way. Also there was a topic on our news (in the UK) before that these videos are made by protestors themselves to make people join them and believe that is the way all animals made for food are killed. Think for your body and not for your mind, just be careful on what you eat, ask questions to where you buy it from. I would never hurt an animal, but in the wild animals die more brutally (in some cases) from one another, we can't get them to stop its the way of life and their body needs it.

@chocovampire

I'm 23, this video doesn't necessarily make me cry, it makes me angry, disgusted and sick to my stomach...

@lucie

I agree with you, if more people start buying meat which is produced in an environment and animal friendly way (and thus more expensive) it will probably bring about more change then if people just stop eating meat... And I also think it's true that what you're seeing here is the worst of the worst, here in the Netherlands the situation isn't perfect, but a lot of the things shown are illegal here. I'm not sure about the nutrient thing though, I think you can in fact do without meat, but it's true that it would mean a huge change in diet, not just removing meat, but adding a lot of other stuff too...

I do think people could definitely eat LESS meat, because the quantities most western people are consuming are way too high right now.

How do you guys think they make veal? It's the meat from a calf that has been kept in a small cage or incredibly small stable pen so it doesn't get exercise. My teacher told us all this already. She told us about how they send the cow through a maze, and at the end there is a guy with a mask and a tranq gun. He shoots the cow, strings the cow up, and then let's just say torso of cow no more, dead cow. You don't have to stop eating meat though, just make sure if you buy meat you have to buy free range eggs, and milk from cows that had long fields to roam. I understand your voices and opinions, and I agree to stop animal cruelty, and that video was sickening, but just pledging to not eat meat won't stop animal cruelty. You have to get out there with the animal activists, or nobody will hear your opinions. Just saying I'd give the animals chainsaws and crowbars won't help btw, or torture the farmers. Then your causing human cruelty^-^"
Also, vegetarian still has animal cruelty in it's industry sometimes. They eat eggs, milk, dairy, fish(what about THEIR rights?) etc. Vegans it nothing animal related.

And I also agree with Lucie and dionaea. My family isn't vegans or vegetarians. But we buy free range eggs, milk from cows that have long health lives ahead of them, and meat from upstate that came from cows that grazed in meadows. We buy fish that didn't come off a fish/shrimp farm. We buy local when we go upstate from Frog Pond market.

Btw, one thing I forgot to say,... Congratulations on spreading this video, you're giving the stars of the 'film' extra money in their pocket from simply viewing it. If you're going to have a topic like this I don't think showing the videos Before discussion is going to help the matter, you've probably done a worst favour on the animals watching this because now they know even the 'non-cruel' people would like to watch that stuff.

I can't watch it.☹️ I just can't. I don't want to and I won't. But I agree with @icicle_9510. I need to eat meat for health reasons. I can't have eggs, milk, nuts or peanuts or anything with them. I'm anafalaxex to them. I need to eat tons of meat to stay healthy. I love animals but pledging to not eat meat won't do anything. I make sure I buy meat from healthy animals.

I was pinged here somewhere o_o?

I have to eat meat, because I have stomach spasms and if I don't get enough protein and stuff from meat that triggers them; I was a pescatarian for 3 years before going back to meat.

Though, now I'm starting to be scared of meat. I know some farmers, who treat their livestock kindly; but I know not all do it. What scares me most is the steroids in meat and milk and food.

I'm planning on slowly building my own farm, and having my own meat raised, milk produced, stuff that I know is "clean". And I'm an animal lover and Wiccan, so I'm not going to over-kill. My motto; Take what you need, not what you want.

The reason I'm scared of food now a days, and wanting to grow my own? My 8 year old cousin is already growing breasts and getting hair down there. SHE'S 8. When I have kids, what will it be, 3?

I'm also thinking of hunting on my own [Not for sport, but for food.]

T-T...... I feel like murdering the guy who cut the cow's tail off... >~< This is seriously a problem.. I'm totally showing my family this video. Gosh, What's wrong with those people?

And I didn't cry. Just because I didn't cry doesn't mean that I don't care about what's happening to those animals. :/ I already knew those animals die painfully so we could have a good lunch, breakfast, and dinner. But really seeing it. It's hard to say something or do something because it's a shock when you actually see the animals screaming and making painful noises.

@Plushie

Certainly that's very horrible.
I love meat, and always will,
but I really think farmers should...
be more productive?
Instead of leaving animals to die,
possibly they could...
shoot them?
I'll never be a vegetarian,
but this does certainly get me thinking.
Surely there is better way of putting them down.

Let me put a damper on things for a bit. Animals in the United States do not receive the treatment these animals have received. Perhaps in the past (ever read The Jungle?), but not now. Much of this animal cruelty stems from animal slaughterhouses in European countries.
