There's so many things going on in this world. We still aren't sure of the whole 'end of the world' debate. Which is just complete nonsense. The world isn't gonna end in 13 billion years, we will be dead then, unless any of you happen to be immortal. But the possible effects is our Milkyway galaxy will collide with another galaxy, which will cause heat to rise, soon enough we'll begin to get sucked into the black hole.

By what I read, it said it's really small and only large enough to penetrate a house. xD

Yes they will move the endangered aria IF they can find out anything more, don't fret though, it's probably going to either veer out of way and hit another planet/the moon or like all meteors that enter, the atmosphere will blow and burn it up ON IMPACT we've been hit by meteors before, they just break up into small rocks, which is how we get meteorites. So no worries, at the most, an animal might die =3 if otherwise, I hope I'm slapped silly by my science teacher xD

@inkstep If the moon dies, we die. We need the moon to survive. I don't know all the details but the ocean will stop moving and all the fish will die.

@inkstep,
@leopardclaws is correct, we do need the moon to survive (Like she pointed out 😋).

@miomar, no the moon does control the oceans current. It has a gravitational pull that makes the water move.

The moon does effect tides but if the moon were to disappear it would not spell the end to life in the oceans. While lunar tides would go away, we would still have solar tides and much of the ocean currents are created by many more factors than just the moon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean_current

The moon itself is even receding from the earth at a rate of 38mm per year. But have no fear, the moon won't disappear. The sun will go red giant long before that happens.

Even if the meteor was heading for earth, it would either burn up in the atmosphere or burn up enough to break into little chunks- which would not cause a 'tidal wave'.

Nobody should start panicking, it's fine ^-^
